Chapter 03: Everybody has secrets

Once Camila was inside the classroom, she seen Mr. Split in front of the classroom. Which terrorized her, she never seen anything like that. "Ugh, why is he half human and half horse?" Camila thought to herself. "Ms. Casanova you are thirty minutes late to class, may I know the reason why?" Mr. Split asked. "I had to get my schedule and my books, my pardon Mr. Split." All of the sudden, there's a laugh in the corner of the class with sarcasm. "Of course, she's late. She's the new girl with no friends." The whole class starts laughing. As Camila turned around to see who had spoken, she seen it was a handsome young man with pale skin, very muscular with dark black gelled hair. Mr. Split abruptly shuts them off and calls the student out. "QUIET! Mr. Reece hush your mouth and apologize to Ms. Casanova." "Why? Do I need to apologize to Ms. Casanova? Lukas responded sarcastically. "Mr. Reece out of my classroom, NOW!" Lukas said mocking Mr. Split as he walked out the classroom. Mr. Split quickly gave him a lecture for disrespecting him. "Class, this is what you will get if you disrespect me." Mr. Split turned Lukas into an elf and made him walk to Mrs. Pips like that. Mr. Split told Camila to sit down and continue to write notes for class.

Once Lukas got to Mrs. Pips office, Mrs. Pips asked Lukas the reason for his visit. "Mr. Reece, what is the reason of your elf looking self?" "Mr. Split kicked me out of his class for no reason." "Lukas, so Mr. Split just had no reason at all to turn you into an elf." Mrs. Pips laughed as she turned him back to himself. "Lukas, do I need to call your parents into my office?" "No, of course not Mrs. Pips." "Do I need to call Mr. Split in here and ask him what was his reason for sending you out?" As Mrs. Pips reached out to her telephone to call Mr. Split. "Absolutely not, Mrs. Pips." Lukas said. Mrs. Pips quickly hung up the telephone, as she told Lukas to go back to class and if he disrespected Mr. Split again, she was going to have to bring his parents in for a talk. As Lukas walked back to class, he thought of Camila. "Oh My, she's beautiful. I can't fall in love with her." Lukas thought to himself.

As Lukas walked in Mr. Split's classroom. Camila seen him as he was walking towards a desk that was empty near her. "My soul, isn't he just handsome." Camila thought to herself. Lukas sat down, Mr. Split quickly asked "Why are you back in my class?" "Mrs. Pips sent me back because your excuse wasn't enough for her." "Oh, really. Well, what if I kick you out again?" "Why would you do that Mr. Split? What do you think my parents would say if I told them, you don't like me and you're trying really hard to send me to the underworld." Mr. Split pierced his lips and continued to teach. Camila asked herself what was the Underworld, and why did it shut Mr. Split so quickly? The bell rang for break, Camila walked out of class, and was walking around, looking at her schedule. Until, Veronica abruptly tried to scare her. "Boo! How was your first Magical class?" "It wasn't that great; I didn't learn anything." "Why?" "Because Lukas decided to interrupt me and Mr. Split and decided that today's class time was all about him." "LUKAS REECE?" Veronica asked surprisingly.

"Yes, I think. He's such an asshole." "Lucky you Casanova, none of us have had a class with him. I heard he's such a bully, but I mean I've seen him at the cafeteria and down the hall but I haven't had a class with him." "I'm not lucky Veronica, I don't even know him and he is already getting on my nerves." They both laughed. Audrey then appeared and asked her the same questions and her reaction to Lukas Reece was the same. Which, kind of confused Camila. Jennifer then appeared in front of them scaring the life out of Camila. "I know, you have a class with the handsome Lukas Reece." "Why are you all surprised I have a class with Lukas?" "Because it's just weird, we've never had a class with him and we've been here longer." Audrey said. "Well, I have no idea why I have a class with him then." Camila said as they were entering the dorm. "What's your classes?" Jennifer asked. "I have the study of super sense for first period, Spells 301 for second period, and Hypnotizing 101 for last period." "Oh, I have Spells 301 for second period as well." Jennifer said excitingly. Veronica was re-touching her makeup; Audrey was just lying in her bed as Camila and Jennifer were talking.

The bell rang, it was time for second period. All the girls went to their classes. Camila and Jennifer walked into Spells 301, and Jennifer introduced Camila to Mrs. Pickerall. "Mrs. Pickerall, this is Camila Casanova. She just got here this morning." "Oh, I see. Take a seat." Mrs. Pickerall said rather rude. "Don't worry, she is rather rude but she definitely is worth it taking this class, she is very good at teaching this subject." "If you say so." Camila seen Mrs. Pickerall was a witch with green skin, black clothes, and a broom on the side of her desk. "Will I look like that?" Camila asked Jennifer. "No, of course not." Jennifer said as they both laughed. Camila heard heels inside the classroom, as she looked up. She seen a beautiful girl, with blonde hair. "That's Rebecca Anderson, she is the popular girl, she's a witch and they say her and Lukas Reece had hooked up." Jennifer said. "So, is she Lukas's girlfriend?" "I guess, she is." Mrs. Pickerall started class. "Welcome to Spells 301, I am Mrs. Pickerall to those who are new to my class. All we do in this class is spells." "Oh, so we have a new student?" Rebecca asked. "Yes, we do. Ms. Casanova, do you mind to stand up and introduce yourself." Camila looked nervously at Jennifer, she stood up and introduced herself. "My name is Camila Casanova and I am eighteen years old." Camila sat down, Jennifer whispered "Yes, good job. You didn't say anything about how basically you were abducted by Mr. Smudge and brought here." "I was not abducted, don't say it like that." Rebecca turned around and looked at Camila. "Oh, were you abducted? Oh, poor girl." The class laughs.

"Don't listen to her" Jennifer said. Camila was so nervous but also very angry, that people just started to be mean to her on the first day of class. Camila ignored her and sat down and continued to write notes for the class. As the bell rang, Camila and Jennifer quickly stood up and rushed out of the classroom. "They are all ignorant people." Jennifer said annoyed. "Yes, they are. I almost lost it, Jenn." "Don't give them no mind or they will continue to do it." Camila accidently bumped into a girl and knocked her books out. Camila quickly kneeled down to help the girl with her books. As Camila looked up to apologize to the girl, she seen she had beautiful brown short hair, she was average size, she had fins on the side of her face. "I'm so sorry, it was my fault I wasn't paying a bit of attention. Let me help you pick up your books." "Oh, you're fine, no worries at all. It's no big deal." "No of course not, I will help with your books, what's your name?" "Ok. My name is Raven, Raven Villanueva. What's yours?" "Nice to meet you Raven and my name is Camila Casanova."

"Nice to meet you too, Camila. See you around." "Of course, see you around." Raven walked away and Jennifer looked at Camila in a puzzled face. "What?" Camila asked. "I don't know if you see her face or not…but…" Camila cut her off. "She's a mermaid, right? You're going to think I'm crazy but it seems or it felt I should say like I've known her for a long time that it didn't bother me." "Really? Hm that's weird." "Do you know who she is?" "She is Raven Villanueva, the last Mermaid." "What do you mean the last Mermaid?" "Yes, her parents were murdered when she was young, and she is the last creature of their species." "Wow, that's so sad to hear." "Yes, it is." They walked down the hall, on their way to the next class. Camila quickly asked Jennifer about the underworld. "Hey Jenn, what is the underworld?" "Ah, it's a…ah… little confusing to describe." She was interrupted by the bell. "Well, I guess you can tell me after the last class." "Ah, yes of course." "See you later, Jenn" "See you later, Cami" Camila walked to her next class and as she walked in the classroom, she seen Raven across the room, and sat beside her. "Hey, do you mind if I take a seat." "No, of course not." Camila sat beside Raven, and they started talking. "So, how old are you?" asked Raven. "I'm eighteen. You?" "I'm one hundred and eight." "Wow, you look so young." "Really? How old do I look?" "Eighteen" They both laugh.

As Mr.Ginseal interrupted them and introduced himself to Camila. "Hello, Ms. Casanova. I am Eric Ginseal, and I am your hypnotizing 101 teacher. My students call me Goofy Ginseal, get it." Raven and Camila laugh. "Yes, we do Mr. Ginseal." "Alrighty, well Camila all you have to do today in this class is take notes." Okie Dookie, Mr. Ginseal" Camila said. Once class was over, Camila was amazed on how much she actually liked Mr. Ginseal's class. As she left the class she met up with Jennifer on her way to the cafeteria. Audrey and Veronica were already at a table eating their food when Camila and Jennifer arrived, Veronica quickly jumped up as soon as she seen the girls walk in and yelled at them. "HEY! OVER HERE CAMI, JENN!" "Why is she yelling?" Camila asked embarrassed. "She's always been like that CRAZY!" Camila and Jennifer sat down and got their food. After, they ate, the bell rang again and the girls went to their dorm. The girls sat on their bed and just get to know each other.

"So, do you three have any partners?" asked Camila. "No, I don't" Audrey said. "It's a little complicated," said Veronica. "I don't, I'm not looking for love." Jennifer said with a yuck look in her face. "So, do you have a partner, Cami?" Audrey asked. "No, I don't, I had a boyfriend back at home but then we broke up a few days before my eighteenth birthday." "Why, did you and him break up, Cami?" Veronica asked with a sad voice. "Because he cheated with my best friend and I caught them in his room, having sex." "Ah…that is…ah…Heartbreaking but screw him and screw her too." Veronica said. "Yes, that's true." Jennifer said. "I'm going to go take a quick walk." Camila quickly interrupted. As, she walked out of the dorm and just started walking outside. Camila walked outside the back side of the Academy where you can walk around and breath fresh air. As she was walking, she happened upon a group of giants. She stared for a second as her heart began to race. They were taller than a house she thought to herself. "I need to get out of here" One of the giants had short hair, very muscular, tattooed and tight clothes. As Camila went to turn and run when she bumped into a giant named Fred.

"Hello, who are you looking for young lady?" Fred said with a deep voice as he picked her up and put her on his hand. "I'm just walking around, I'm new to this academy." Camila said. Fred put her down, "I'll let you go, but what is your name?" Fred asked. "My name is Camila and you can call me Cami." "That's a pretty name" Said Fred as he put her down "thank you, well it was nice to meet you Fred" she said as she started to walk off. "Good-bye Cami." "Good-bye Fred." Camila continued to walk as she looked up to the sky and seen it was a full moon, she then seen a path full of neon purple butterflies fluttering around. She decided she was going to see where the path lead. As she began down the path, she started to play with the butterflies, all the butterflies began to cover her up as she continued to walk. She felt happy, safe and at peace. She looked up from the butterflies and seen Lukas in the distance. She heard a kind of groaning so she began to quietly walk towards him. She hid behind a tree and tried to peak through the branches seeing if she could spot Lukas. Her eyes grew wide as she seen Lukas slowly turn into a dragon. His body began to grow bigger and wings sprouted from his back. He was bigger than the giants! His dark red scales shimmered in the moon light. His horns curled around his head like a crown. Camila gasped and muttered "He is gorgeous" as she slowly started to back up, she stepped on a branch. As it let out a loud SNAP Lukas's head snapped around looking for whoever was there. In a panic he shot off high up into the sky. His wings carrying him with the speed of a jet. Lukas looked down and seen the person who had been spying on him.... Camila?
