Chapter 14 The Party (2)

Although Alibaba didn't know what the assassin meant before he disappeared, he knew that It would be associated with the nation near Balbadd, which was Parthevia Empire; he thought of this because the Assassin said this, and Alibaba also thought in this time.

"This assassin seems to be from a division of the Parthevia Empire. Based on what that assassin told me, the Noble who last time we got kicked out due to his arrogance was from Parthevia if I remember it right. I knew that noble was arrogant, but I didn't think just kicking him out would cause him to hire an assassin."

Then as Alibaba said this and then he said to his father, King Rashid, and the council about this information which; when asked how he found out about it, Alibaba just said that he had found a note which inside the pocket of the assassin.

King Rashid and the Council members believed quickly in what Alibaba said because they knew that the third prince wouldn't lie for such events. They also recognized the clothing the assassin was wearing and saw that it was Parthian style clothing. When they examined the clothes that the assassin wore, they discovered that it was indeed from Parthenia.

When a hot-blooded member of the council shouted when they saw this as he said: "How dare those Parthevian scums to try and assassinate our Balbadd Third prince do they think that they can stomp over our faces and think they can get away with this event."

When some of the council members started to agree with the hot-blooded council member's claim and thought they should at least fight back to the Parthevia Empire even for a little. But then King Rashid, who saw what would happen if they did, said

"Stop; although what the Noble from Perthevia Empire is bad if we try to fight back to a Noble from another nation, It would be seen as a declaration of war. And I hate to admit this, but the Parthevia Empire is much stronger than our own country since their country is much more combat orientated than our trading nation."

When the council members heard this, they thought of what King Rashid said and nodded, and the Hot-Blooded Councilman also calmed down as he thought of the disadvantages if they did what he proposed, so he quite down as well.

But King Rashid then said, "But of course won't just let this matter go so easily, since our Balbadd country is a trading nation and one of the countries who supply food to Parthevia since they couldn't get any goods from Reim due to their recent war and I know all of you know what my idea right now. However, my idea we couldn't do for long as if the Perthevia Empire sees that were intentionally making this a war might really be achieved."

When the Council members heard this, they smirked as they know exactly what King Rashid's plan was. Since Parthevia was already suffering an economic problem currently, and since Balbadd was one of the trading nations, it would put more burden on the whole Perthevia Empire if they stop supplying them. Although they didn't like that they can only do it for a small life, they knew that the Parthevia might declare just because of this. They had also heard Parthevia citizens' situation, so they didn't want to burden the ordinary citizens to be burdened even more.

After this discussion, while Alibaba, who saw this and also knew what his father plan just shrugged at it, and although he knew. that it was a bit too brutal but even just trying to assassinate a royal member of a family from another nation would regularly have already caused a war between the nations and just stopping the trade with Parthevia was way milder compared to a war.

After the days after this meeting, Balbadd started to limit the trades they did with the Parthevia Empire with the excuse that they needed more goods for Balbadd more because of the new decree, which was actually semi- truth since due to the decree, Balbadd had been improving the structure of the houses in the slums and was constantly giving more work positions to the people of the slums.

So due to this, the Parthevia empire was enraged by this, but they at least knew that what Balbadd said was real as they heard from a spy that this was genuine reform that was currently happening. So they weren't able to say back anything to Balbadd due to this, although now, Parthevia and Balbadd developed a bit of a sour relationship.

Alibaba was now along with Envoy Imperial Prince Hakuyuu, had just arrived in the Ballroom after being guided by the maid, who informed them both that it was time for the ball. When Alibaba and Hakuyuu arrived, they saw a lot of Nobles and Merchants entering the main entrance. Seeing this, Alibaba thought, "What's with the high amount of guests this party father mostly doesn't hold or invite this kind of crowd unless he announces something big, kinda like my birth, which is so weird since I still remember how it happens due to my strong memories."

As Alibaba though of this, he shuttered for a bot, which Hakuyuu noticed as he asked: "Hey Alibaba, you ok it's not that cold yet if your cold or something how about you call over a servant of yours here.?" When Alibaba heard this he then replied swiftly "Ah no it's nothing Big bro Hakuyuu."

When Hakuyuu heard this, he smirked as he was rubbing Alibaba and said to him, "Well ok then Alibaba, but even if we just met a few hours ago, I already feel like your older brother since you remind me of my other little brother too which he is currently a third of your age and already somewhat mature however he's still a bit of a cry baby."

As Hakuyuu said this, he laughed a bit before going to the back entrance of the ballroom because the maid seems to be leading them there, and it seems that was where King Rashid and General Koji were currently located at.
