Ch 6

Time had passed, and five years had already flown by.

Areth being five years old has now reached the right age to enter school. He wasn't happy about it, as he was already an old man. Mingling with kids would be awkward for him. But he had no choice, his parents were adamant about it.

He looked at his small bag with a super hero design, there was one notebook inside, a coloring book and a set of crayons. There was also a smart watch gifted to him, which could track his location and had access to the Internet. He finally sighed in resignation and boarded the car.

When he was dropped in the school, his father reminded him again and again to make a lot of friends and call the teacher if problem arises.

His mother remained at home since he would be having a younger sibling soon.

The teacher in charge came to fetch him and led all the children to the classroom. They were taught a little about some basic alphabets and afterwards they were asked to color and draw anything.

Areth looked at the kids being all excited and comparing their drawings to each other, he decided to join the fun and show them who's the boss.

After a minute, Areth looked at his work with satisfaction. It as a realistic portrait of his current self. After seeing his work of art, the teacher praised him endlessly and put his work in the classroom as a exhibit. His monotone drawing stood out amongst the colorful doodles around it.

'I'm such a genius.'

Having nothing else to do now, he opened up his smart watch and conjured a hologram, reading articles and watching funny videos. Suddenly, an article caught his eyes.

"Top ten strongest summons"

He had no interest in this but the name in the top 1 was familiar to him.

He opened the articles and there were some explanations for their ranking. When he reached the top one, he was amused by the explanation.

"And now the top 1, I believe most of you have watched the video uploaded a long time ago by an S- rank hunter. Here we could see the might of the entity, effortlessly beating a monster in which ten S rank working together could not defeat in its usual state.

It is believed to be an elemental king ruling the light element, similar to the four element King Salamander, Undine, Sylph and Gnome.

Abilities:

Though were only two abilities showcased by the Lord of Light in this battle, we could assume that it had not revealed all its abilities. We lack understanding of its full capabilities.

•Raining Swords, or as the netizens call it "Swords of revealing light". The entity can conjure an endless number of swords that could travel at the speed of sound. This ability alone could put this summon on the top 1 strongest!

•Barrier- able to defend against a strong attack from a Calamity rank monsters without any damage."

Areth stopped reading at this point because someone was already lurking behind him.

"That thing looks really fun."

The voice was light and pleasant, behind him was a girl with black hair and red eyes. In the present time, it was not weird for people to have these kind of eyes, it could be the result of some abilities or unique bloodlines.

Areth nodded, among all the children in this class, he wanted to have nothing to do with this girl the most. With his level of mastery of the Absolute Rule, it was easy for him to see through this seemingly innocent child, her soul was more powerful and more mature than her current body.

What did this mean? It's definitely not because she was a genius, and unless she's a vampire pretending to be a kindergarten student, there's only one truth! She too reincarnated just like him!

"Do you want to try it?" Areth acted like a good kid, sharing his toys to others. He took of his smart watch and handed it to her.

"Oh, can I? T-thanks."

Afterwards, Areth heard her murmur intelligible things in wonder. She played with the smart watch and if Areth had not been eyeing her, she would have tinkered its inside.

She curiously tapped the hologram cautiously and after getting used to it, she started playing games. She finally returned it to him when the break was over.

She sat beside him and said. "Hey hey, I saw your drawing and it is really good. Can you draw my face too? Can you?"

Tired of being pestered, Areth finally agreed and gave her a portrait. "Thanks!"

She then whispered. "By the way, do you want to become a hunter in the future? You could join me, I'll establish a guild on my own. I'm pretty strong you know."

"No, I want to live safely and just get an ordinary job, a receptionist maybe?" Areth replied.

"Eh, that's not good kid, you need to have a great dream to pursue, what receptionist, isn't that boring?" The girl shook her head and then suddenly recalled something.

"Oh, I haven't introduced myself. My name is Anne, nice to meet you."

"I'm Areth."

After that day, Areth finally have his first friend.

Having encountered the first reincarnated individual aside from him, Areth was set to investigate the Absolute Rule tonight. He had felt several fluctuations in the world several times, especially when the rifts appear or when there was a monster horde, now his intuition was telling him that a massive change will transpire in the future after seeing Anne.

He lied on his bed and closed his eyes. He entered deep meditation and finally saw countless interweaving lines, these lines formed a large plane. There was barely anyone capable of interpreting these weird lines. Their numbers were infinite and it's impossible to distinguish them one by one.

There were sounds coming from these lines simultaneously, but as they were all releasing sounds at the same time, what came out was simply an unbearable buzz. This was the Absolute Rule. Everything that happens in nature was directed by this power.

In his past life, he was able to erase his death and live for as long as he wills by manipulating this power. This was the source of his strength and no one he knew was more familiar than him in this.

Hence, he immediately saw the abnormality. Although he called it an abnormality, it was only because it was out of his expectation, the Absolute Rule controls everything and its operations were flawless and conducted in a precise manner. No mistakes are allowed to occur. If he were to say one mistake, then that would be his existence who was able to manipulate it slightly.

He attempted to get as close as possible, resisting the buzzing sound that pierced through his soul. He saw that there were several lines from outside the plane was intertwining together with the local lines. The numbers were few but the last time Areth inspected the Absolute Rule in this world, he didn't even noticed them.

If the plane where he was in could be considered his current world, then the lines from outside would be from foreign worlds. The rules were assimilating together and they might even form a super plane, or perhaps form a 3D object.

This discovery caused Areth to have a breakthrough in his understanding of the Absolute Rule.

"Now, the only questions are how many worlds are going to join the party and what is the nature of their Absolute Rule."

Areth couldn't stay here for so long so went back to reality.

"Damn homework." He cursed as picked up his pen to write down the the english alphabet.
