Chapter 9

A fortnight had passed since, Karna was right now seated with his parents in the colosseum, gazing at the 'duels' of the ryal princes.

"The Royal Princes are truly well learned. Acharya Dron had indeed taught them well."

Well learned. Oh please, this was childs play at best. In comparison to the duels he had with Guruacharya, this was nothing. When they battled, the gods would quake with fear, and earthquakes ensured far and wide, as Vishnavansh ShivSishya molded the son and ansh of Suryanarayaan, the only one of his children to inherit his radiance.

Finally. Now it was time for Drona to come aead and proclaim Arjun as the greatest archer. Karna would not be interfering here. He had no qualms with these childish titles. When time came, the true power would be the only answer.

"I proclaim, my greatest shishya, Arjun, as the greatest Archer in all of the THREE REA..."

"STOP!!!"

A young man, dressed in the attire worthy of a prince, came in full view of the crowd. The crowd was almost sure that he was a prince, who else could afford such finery, and that bow! It surely was a divine bow.

"Who are you to declare this runt as the greatest? Do you know the greatest archer in all of Trelok? Has he defeated, no, have you defeated all the archers of Trelok?"

Acharya Drona's eyes held visible fury.

"Who are you, to stop the Kalapradarshan of the Prince's of Hastinapur!"

The boy straightened his back.

"I am the son of Gangaputra's Sarathi, Adirath, and his ardhangini, Radha maa. I am the younger brother of my brother, Vasusen, the Shishya of Vishwamitra, Radheya Shon! And I this, as long as my bother is alive, no one in this bhuvan shall surpass him! And I shall be his shadow and sword..."

Shon unsheathed the sword at his hip, and pointed it at Arjun, and said,

"To cut the heads of all those who dare to touch my brother."

It was after this that a war started. Soon, ordinary arrows were discarded and Astras started to be wielded. Karna looked on and scrutinised his brother, mentally pointing out how he could improve various aspects of his archery. Suddenly a congregation of divinity from Arjun's side caught his attention.

"I summon the Brahmastra, the result of Brahma's knowledge! Oh, Brahmastra! Slaughter my foes and give fruit to your existence!"

As Arjun released his weapon, the surrounding nature, started to rage. Winds blew, fires erupted, and the seas roared. Soon the Brahmastra and Shon's body was about to meet, while Shon had his hands folded. This was when a figure appeared at his front. His body glowed Golden with a divine aura, and the Brahmastra's force started to waine. The power it held started to revolve around him as it slowly got absorbed into his own body. Shon looked up at him in wonder, while a killing aura erupted from the figure. While all the other warriors present prepared their weapons, Arjun was the one who faced the brunt of it. He could barely support himself and kneeled. A frigid voice came out of Karna's mouth.

"How dare you release Divine Astras in a place where civilians are gathered, and dare to harm my brother!"
