Chapter 46: Escape

I touched my empty ring finger. I wondered if Ken had gotten in contact with Danté yet.

If I had known this was going to be a trap for him, I wouldn't have sent Ken to find Danté.

I just hoped that they hadn't found out where The Riot's base was yet.

Vlad had me escorted back to my cell a while ago. I couldn't help but feel like I should have followed Gavin's reckless plan. Maybe I should have just taken a chance.

But even if I could kill Vlad right there where he least expected me, I would have had to move through the halls alone. That would have been extremely suspicious and his men would have apprehended me and found his body.

Then I would have had an even worse fate than simpply being locked up behind bars. And the boys would have been slaughtered instantly.

My mind couldn't even think straight anymore. My stomach was growling with hunger, and the cell was incredibly cold, so much so that I was shivering. 

"Psst. Hey! My lady!"
