Niya's POV--

"Dad?" I asked my father when I saw him stressed. It was not first time when he was stressed but this time it just didn't feel something right. It felt like something is going to be wrong. Something very wrong.

"Hey Niya! come sit my princess." he asked me when he noticed my presence and pat the seat next to him asking me to seat there.

"Is everything okay Dad?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah my Princess. Everything is okay. have you had your dinner my sunshine?" He asked totally trying to avoid the situation he was in.

"Yeah I had and you?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Umm yup. I already had." He lied.

"Then why Maria said you didn't?" I asked raising my brow.

"Was she?" He asked.

"Yeah she said and she also said that you didn't even had your lunch in afternoon. May I know the reason Mr. Smith behind your meal skipping and telling lies to your own daughter?" I asked folding my hands to my chest.

"I had my lunch.." He said.

"When?" I asked.

"It was lunch so yeah of course It was in afternoon." He give me a forceful laugh trying to joke which he miserably fail at. And I just stare at him with no emotions.

"Umm actually I had a heavy breakfast with Mr. Cassano that's why I skip my lunch and then in evening I attended a meeting with Japanese clients and had dinner with them that's why I didn't eat at home. I didn't told Maria about this that's why she told you that I didn't eat but I eat." He said as a child trying to convince his mama. My old man is such a kid. I chuckled at his explanation.

"Okay but I'm still hungry and wanna grab some homemade food. Would you like to join me?" I asked even though I was already full but I very well knew he won't eat unless or until he wouldn't be forced.

"No I'm not hungry. Thankyou for your offer young lady." He said and stood up to go away from me.

Trying to escape from Niya. No chance.

"Can you see Mama your old man doesn't want to even accompany your poor child. hey did you leave me mama in this cruel world where a father doesn't want to eat with his own daughter but some old and foolish Japanese clients of his. Why mama why?" I started to yell and wail looking towards the sky.

"Oh Jesus why Sofia left me with you. Such a drama queen. Come let's go to grab your midnight dinner." He said leading me towards the dining area.

Maria served our food and we eat while talking the random stuffs of the day.

After dinner I once again thought to ask him about his problems but didn't because I knew he won't tell me anyways and would try to lie me again and would make up some stupid random excuses to make me believe which I really didn't wanna to listen so I just let him go and sleep. I also move towards my bedroom and after freshing up I also plopped on my bed only for to wake for a drastic morning.

Somewhere in a big mansion--

"Please Nick! Please for me. You've never refused any of my wishes please don't refuse for this also. It'll break my heart Nick." A lady cried in a man's embrace.

"Why can't you just understand my situation Lara. I can't. I just can't." The man spoke in a soft voice as he was pleading the lady to not make him do what he never in his would like to do.

"But why?" She screamed looking at him.

"Why?? You're asking me this question Lara? Goddamit. Because you're my wife, love of my life. How can you ask your own husband to marry some other girl just for a baby?" He screamed holding her waist so tightly that she hissed in pain.

"Nick!! loose your hands. It's hurting me." She yelp in pain.

"I'm just holding you a little tightly and you are complaining for hurting you and what about you Lara? What about you that you're squeezing my heart with your words and demands. Can you imagine how much it hurts here?" He asked guiding her little hands towards his heart.

"But baby I'm not doing this for myself. I also don't want to share you baby but we have to do this I have to do this otherwise-" She said when he cut her off...

"Otherwise what Lara?" He asked looking at her without any emotions.

"Otherwise they will choose another head for the organisation and I can't let them do this baby. We can't let them take your position. We really can't." She said shaking her head.

"So what? so what If they'll take my position. I'll still have you. Even then you'll be my side and as long as you're with me I don't care other things Lara." He said softly looking at her with full love in his eyes.

"But I can't?" She screamed at once coming out of his embrace. And he looked at her confusingly.

"What you can't?" He asked in confusion.

"I can't let you loose your position in any situation Nick. Never in my dreams I could imagine you not being the head of this powerful organisation." She said shaking her head.

"You can't see me loose this position but you can see me being married to another woman in front of your eyes?" He asked in an angry tone. And she immediately come down from her high.

"It's not like that baby. I also don't want you to get married with another girl hell I can't even stand to another girl even getting glimpse of yours. But baby it's your father's legacy. It's your father's last wish to see you as his future leader and I don't want to break his dead heart by getting you off from this throne. Why don't you want to think my perspective?" She asked softly touching his jaw with her soft palm and kissed him near his lips but not on lips which was already enough for him to get a lead on her.

He hold the back of her head and pressed his firm lips to her petal like soft lips getting her in an raw and passionate kiss with full of love.
