The manor was dimly lit as most of the main grounds had lesser candles burning. At this time there were no guests who would be around so the middle part was barely anything visible. That would be for human eyes though. Vincent could see where he was going perfectly. The sudden dizziness was now normal in Prudence but she now knew well to be careful.

It was funny, she thought, how simply deciding to simply consider him for a candidate of marriage everything had become easier to accept. Especially his controlling behavior. Both of them had been quiet as Prudence mostly closed her eyes and leaned her head against his shoulder. It was unbelievably comfortable even when Vincent was climbing stairs. As for Vincent, he did not want to disturb her a lot. He had already put her in this situation to begin with.
