My mind is swirling. I have no idea what to think of Cat at this point. Every time I think I have her pegged, she does something that makes me realize I underestimated her—yet again. I shouldn't have listened to her suggestion of a compromise. 

Soon after she asked for her mother's ability to walk and talk again in exchange for her full compliance, I left the pool area. I wasn't going to agree to anything while looking at her beautiful body. I was bound to say something I would regret. But no matter how many glasses of wine I down while thinking about it, I still come to the same conclusion—the very one my brother came to long ago. 

The more willing she is to follow the plan, the more effective it will be. I have the option to coerce her into everything but I cannot predict what she would do if push came to shove. 

The only problem is, why is Natalia still paralyzed if she could have had her surgery so many years ago?
