LOVE AND BETRAYAL

"Please I beg of you, don't leave me" Kaima said in tears.

Her knees were on the bare ground as she cried her eyes out. Right in front of her was Richard, her boyfriend who she considered as her family. He looked down at her with disgust filled eyes as he held the waist of the person she considered her friend.

"How do you expect me to stay with someone like you?" he said in disgust. "I can't even see what made me attracted to you in the first place?"

"N-no, Richard don't say that" she cried as she held his feet. "You're the only person I have left in this world, please."

"I don't give a damn" he yelled as he violently kicked her off his feet. "If you feel so lonely then go die, for all I care"

Kaima was seriously kicked in the head but she still persisted.

"Please, let's just sit and talk about this" she cried. "I promise I won't disturb you anymore."

"Why would I do that, I've had enough of your good for nothing face" he said. "Everything about you is bad luck"

"Please don't say that" she said. "If you want, I'll apologize to her"

"No, Kaima don't" Yvonne, her fake friend said. "Richard she wasn't in her right mind when she hit me, after all, I did destroy her priced possession"

"Was I referring to you?" she snapped at Yvonne.

Yvonne tried to play the good girl card by putting up a despicable act in front of Richard. Yvonne had provoked her by intentionally destroying the only memory left of her family. Out of anger and disgust Kaima had slapped her and they had both gotten into a serious fight before Richard stepped in.

Surprisingly, even when he knew how special that snow globe was to her, he believed and took Yvonne's side.

"This is what I hate about you" he said in disgust. She was trying to speak in your favor but you just shut her up"

"B-but… you're my boyfriend why…"Kaima said in disbelief.

"Well…not any more" He interrupted her.

Richard holds Yvonne close as they turned to walk out on her.

"Please don't leave me" She screamed with all her strength.

They ignored her pleading and cries as they walked towards the red car few feet away from them. Kaima knelt helplessly in the middle of the road as she watched them walk away. He opens the passenger's door for Yvonne and enters into the driver's seat.

The cloud became grey and dark as rain poured from above and fell right on Kaima who helplessly sat in the middle of the empty road. She thought he would come back seeing the rain drenching her but the red car drove past her splashing some water on her.

"Is this what love has brought me to?" she thought still sitting on the road and soaking the water that fell on her.
