Mafia | ISP

This is ISP, International Saviors' Platoon. Despite the name, this was a mafia group. They would save those who they think are facing injustice and erase those who are doing it. They were the ones, who determined justice themselves. . . . This is a short novel I started writing about my friends and me as mafias. Everyone here exists in real life.

Chapter - 02: The World across the Glasses

Leon walks down and walks towards the office. More than an office, that's the heavenly wing of ISP headquarters. Why, you ask? Because that's where...- Hello, Rena.- Oh, hi. Leon BLOODYSHOES....Rena rules. The office of the ISP is a place where only "paperwork" is handled. And Rena doesn't like fighting or bleeding there. If someone were to look at this glass covered office cooled with an air cooler, they would think of it as a regular corporate office. And the person reigning there was more normal.

Rena, the pupil of the strategic team at ISP, was gifted with beautiful eyes when she was born. That is what the boss says. Because there was nothing that could avoid Rena's eyes once you placed something in front of her." She should have been a field worker. Tsk-" That's what the boss always says. But beauty always comes with pain. Being the owner of such beautiful eyes, Rena is sometimes reminded of her duties and forcefully sent to the outer world to see some difficult cases a few times a year. If not for that, she would avoid the sun forever.

Leon scoffed. - How can you see that?- Why did you enter my office with blood on your shoes?Leon scoffed once again. This girl was as self-centered as ever. Always making her way to herself. She never failed to get on his nerves. He kept calm. As a mafia member, he ought to be calm over such TINY things. - I have to report? That's why?- Is anyone chasing you? Because that doesn't seem so after looking at how relaxed you are. - No, no one is following me. - Then there is no hurry. Go, take a bath, and be back. The doors are open. She pressed a switch on her table, and the sliding door opened in a welcoming way for Leon to leave. - See you a bit later, Rookie.Leon was super pissed. But he couldn't help. Pissing Rena meant no report-taking. And that'll conclude his penalty. He left the office, smiling at Rena.- See you soon, Rena. He talked with his teeth closed as soon as he got out. - Bitch.

- I think I just saw him calling me a bitch, Enigma. Enigma was looking at her computer and busily clicking the mouse. She looked at Rena from the corner of her eye. - From reading his lips?- Yes. But I'm not so sure. He said it while having his teeth gritted. - Then how did you even guess?- He says that too much when he is annoyed. She smiled. - Oh, yes. Enigma lifted her eyes from the computer and looked up to see if there were spare papers to put in the printer. - Good, there is enough paper. She looked at Rena with plain eyes and said it in a low voice. I once remember hearing one of his reports where he continuously said bitch, bitch, and bitch. - Haha, enough about him. Rena gets back to work. - Did you get in touch with her?- You mean if I have tracked her. - Yes, yes. Same thing. We need her. It's urgent. Rena looks worried. - It's an emergency, and we need her at any cost. Enigma, real name Charlize Van, looked at her disinterested. Then she opened her mouth. - Well, good for you. Because I got the details of one of her closest aids. - What? For real?- Yes. Charlize takes the papers out of the printer. Here are the details. I'll be off now.- Good job, Van!- I know I always do a good job, Bye.People say pets and subordinates are two things that usually represent the owner or the boss. Maybe that was what was wrong with the office workers. While the field workers could go as low as they needed to to get work done, these prideful strategists chose their ego. But maybe that didn't apply to everyone every time. Charlize herself was a complicated one, as she was a mixed-breed. Being the one who always kept the connections between alliances and enemies, she had to work on the field too. According to the negotiators, Enigma was mysterious and seductive, enchanting and flirtatious, sophisticated and alluring. According to Rena, she was only bold yet loyal. Charlize walks out of the office without looking back once again. Still, it didn't matter to the prideful Rena because she was too busy looking at the papers Charlize gave her. While she was busy looking at those, the sliding door made a tiny sound. Someone had come into the office.
