Chapter 23

Y/n's POV

-At the church-

We are greeted by Hongjoong at the door.

Hongjoong: Thank you for coming.

Jungkook: Well we had to pay our respects.

Hongjoong nods and looks over at Jimin.

Hongjoong: I'm sorry, Jimin. I know that it may be the hardest for you today.

Jimin: It's alright.

Jimin has his head down.

Y/n: I'm sorry for interrupting sir but do we know who did this?

Jimin looks up.

Hongjoong: We are not sure. We are still trying to figure it out.

I nod.

Hongjoong: You should all go in and take a seat.

We all bow and go in. We see Ateez sitting in a row at the front so we sit in the row behind them. One of the members turn around to face Jimin.

????: I'm sorry Jimin.

Jimin: It's fine.

-Time skip-

We all payed our respects to Seonghwa and Jimin goes up for his speech.

Jimin: Seonghwa was always so bright and curious about the world and I knew he would be a bright young man. To know that he had to leave so early in his life...

Jimin starts tearing up.

Hongjoong: Take all the time you need, Jimin. It's alright.

Jimin took a breath in.

Jimin: If I could have been there for him, I feel like I could have saved him. I would trade his life for mine if I could. I would want to tell him so many things. I'm sorry, Seonghwa...that I couldn't be there for you.

-After funeral-

We all walk out and see Ateez walking towards us. We all bow but Hongjoong shakes his head.

Hongjoong: You don't have to do that. Jungkook, since we couldn't meet like we were supposed to, we would like to talk to you at the mansion.

Jungkook: Of course. We will be right behind you.

He smiles and Ateez walks past us. One of the members smile warmly at me.

They get into their limo and we get in ours. We follow them, driving for only about 10 minutes and we reach a stunning mansion, almost 3 times bigger than ours.

We get out and head inside. They are already waiting for us and they lead us to the living room. We all sit down.

Hongjoong: Well I would like to thank you for coming today and Jimin, I wish you the best.

Jimin: Thank you...

Hongjoong: So I heard you have a new member. Would that be her?

He gestures to me and I bow my head.

Y/n: It's an honor to finally meet you sir, although we saw each other at the church. I'm Y/n. The members told me so much about you.

He laughs.

Hongjoong: Did they now? Well I hope they didn't say anything too embarrassing. Well I guess you haven't met the other members properly.

He gestures to all of them saying their names.

Hongjoong: Wooyoung, San, Yunho, Yeosang, Mingi, Jongho.

Ateez members: Hello Y/n: Hi!

Wooyoung looks at me and winks. The others see him do that and their eyes grow wide. Jungkook and Hongjoong react at the same time. Jungkook grabs my waist and Hongjoong puts a hand on Wooyoung's shoulder.

Hongjoong: Woah there, Wooyoung. Mrs. Y/n was already claimed by Jungkook. I would keep a distance.

Wooyoung looks shocked.

Wooyoung: Oh, I'm sorry! Sorry Jungkook! I didn't know you two were already dating!

Jungkook and I laugh. Wooyoung looks at us confused.

Hongjoong: Oh they're not dating, Wooyoung.

Wooyoung: Wait didn't you say.....but wait.....Jungkook....what's going on?!?!?! So....sister?

Yoongi: Y/n would be MY sister.

Wooyoung: Ok so y/n and Jungkook? What's going on there if they aren't dating?

Hongjoong: Well Min y/n has become a Jeon y/n.

Wooyoung takes a minute to take it all in.

Wooyoung: They're married?!?!?!?

I smile at him and nod.

Wooyoung: Why didn't you tell me, Jungkook!!!?? Congrats, man!

Jungkook laughs.

Jungkook: Thanks Wooyoung.

Wooyoung: Yay we finally have a married couple in the mafia! Now next on the list are mini mafia agents.

My face flushes red. Jungkook looks at me and so do the other members. Wooyoung's eyes grow wide.

Wooyoung: NO WAY! STOP! YOU'RE JOKING!!!

Yoongi shakes his head!

Wooyoung: Girl or boy?!?!?!

Rose: How 'bout both?

Wooyoung: WHAT!!!!!! Am I the only one who didn't know that all of this was going on???

The Ateez members nod.

San: We didn't tell you because we know that you always over-react over this stuff.

Wooyoung: Wow thanks guys.

Then all of a sudden, we hear alarms go off and red lights flashing. We hear guards yelling and gunshots.

Yeosang: That's the emergency alarm!
