PAXTON AND AMY

Paxton, who lives in Virginia with his father Richard, wants to play for the Virginia Cricket Team but first wants to be selected for the local railway team.

He meets Amy (Amelia) while looking for money to join a cricket team, and after some misunderstandings, they become close and fall in love.

However, Amy's parents and the circumstances that plague them separate them later: Amy, who promises to return to Paxton, never does.

Paxton becomes depressed, turning to alcohol to relieve his pain and abandoning his cricket career.
