304 Remembering the little things

"Send the bill for the damages to the Returning Galaxy Auction House, they'll understand what it means".

The owner of the establishment, formerly known as the "Fragrant Wine Inn", nodding frantically, with seeds of anger and fear blooming steadily within his heart.

He had rushed out to try and find one of the Fae Masters patrolling White Corpse City the moment that Arthur and Purple Fog had started battling it out in the dining hall of his establishment. By the time he had gotten back, the entirety of the first floor had been destroyed, and the second floor was hanging onto a a thread, with nothing but hopes and dreams keeping the rest of the building afloat.

He hated these Fae Masters from ruining his store, but when he saw how the two guards reacted to Arthur, he instantly felt a wave of shock and regret wash over him.

"Mr Kovacs.... or do you prefer Lord Boundless? Are you the one that has destroyed this building?".

Arthur nodded, scratching the back of his head.

"Yes. My companions and I were attacked out of the blue inside. You can check the Image Fae that I've kept for evidence that I was the victim in this circumstance".

Arthur took out two Image Fae before handing one of them towards the two guards. The pair of peak Rank 2 Fae Masters closed their eyes for a moment, scanning the details of the Image Fae, before paling significantly, and giving Arthur a small nod.

Just a single glance at the black garbed individuals who attacked Arthur, and they knew that this little "encounter" was far beyond their pay grade.

Trying to ascertain a guilty party with their meagre strength would only result in their dismemberment, or perhaps even their deaths if they pushed the issue to much!

A talented young genius possessing a Sovereign Boundary Physique.... and one of the twin disciples of the 3rd Elder of the White Dominion Sect.

There was no chance in hell either of them were going to take them in.

One of the guards nodded, handing back Arthur the Image Fae.

"We'll investigate and request more information in the coming days".

Immediately after, they left.

They might technically be protectors of White Corpse City as well as their inhabitants but trying to stop a Fae Master with a Sovereign Boundary Physique was beyond them. Likewise, trying to seek justice from a Rank 5 Fae Master was also equally as suicidal.

They best thing that they could hope for, was that both parties resolved their own conflicts themselves, without having them interfere in anything.

Watching them leave, Arthur smirked before turning back towards Nyssa and the others. They had all grabbed their belongings and currently sat outside the Fragrant Wine Inn, watching as the wood creaked and the sound of glass shattering occasionally echoed out.

Feeling the gazes of everyone else on his body, Arthur let out a sigh before shaking his head.

"Don't worry. This probably won't come back to bite us on the ass later. That man from before possessed both a Boundary Physique as well as a peak Rank 2 Fae Master cultivation. His age is roughly twenty three so he is probably some sort of talent from the White Dominion Sect. We'll find out more information about this "Purple Fog" man at the martial gathering as well. If he has some background then....".

Arthur smiled slightly.

"Than we'll get rid of them. Rank 3 Fae Masters aren't a problem for my current self, unless they have some sort of special Physique, or extremely powerful Attribute Control Skills. And the rest of you will be fine too. If the time comes, we'll resort to "that" as well".

All of them glanced at each other, before nodding.

Milena spoke up.

"Is it possible that we'll become blacklisted from the facilities in White Corpse City after this?".

If Purple Fog had a significant background than it certainly was possible.... but-.

Arthur shook his head.

"Bothering a Rank 4, or even a Rank 5 Fae Master with a loss from someone younger than them would be pretty stupid, especially from someone as prideful as that. If he does tell them, then they would probably beat him for being so stupid and so weak. They would have some animosity towards us, although if they were to act against a junior so openly, there would definitely be some others who would look down on such a thing....".

Even Elders had their pride.

And if an Elder could nurture someone as prideful as that, then they at least learnt one thing from them.

Arthur waved his arm.

"Just focus on learning as much as you can. There are much more information and Fae within White Corpse City. After this, just make sure that you don't go off on your own without someone else. White Corpse City may be completely safe from spirit beasts, but there are way more Fae Masters here capable of posing a threat. Cultivate diligently and continue expanding your horizons".

The rest of them nodded and Arthur let out a small sigh before closing his eyes, gazing towards the Boundless Forest Yearning within his Origin Essence Sea.

The Law Image of the Affection Tree Fae within his origin essence sea bloomed vibrantly, and Arthur's peak first level Wood Laws thrummed gently, resonating harmoniously with his first level Emotion Laws.

Arthur's Intent constantly floated between the gaps of his origin essence seas. Considering he had formed an Intent in his previous life, it was much easier to form one knowing the conditions and the experience of forming an Intent.

Unlike Laws, which could exist within every Origin Essence Sea, Intent was born from the Mind Origin Essence Sea. It was the unification of Emotions, Thoughts and Desires. A type of wish filled with the myriad mental energies that existed within conscience existence.

'I've been neglecting my Intent as well. I've formed it so long ago and yet it has remained stagnant even compared to my Wood Laws'.

In order to strengthen Intent, one had to strengthen the base elements from which it was created. That is, Emotions, Thoughts and Desires. Strengthening such aspects of a Fae Master would make an Intent stronger, but also provide useful passive effects that weren't noticeable on the surface level.

Strengthening Thoughts, Emotions and Desires increased the resistance a Fae Master could have to the powers of Thought Laws, Emotion Laws and Desire Laws. It wasn't completely possible to block out those extraordinary Fae Masters with high attainments, or Fae Immortals who had completed Ascension, but the vast majority of Fae Masters who had perceived such a Law would be able to resist the lower levels of such invasive Laws.

In a place such as the White Dominion Sect, where both Corpse Attributed and Thought Attributed Fae and Fae materials bloomed on the roadside, one needed to be careful of Fae Masters who had comprehended such Laws.

The first level of Corpse Laws was; Germinating Remains.

While the first level of Thought Laws was; Thought Collection.

If one didn't have any Boundary Physiques with innate Law Images, or special resources that one could use to form a Law Image, theoretically, it should take anywhere between a decade, to half a century to perceive the first level of any Law. If you were talented the time would be shorter.

'That.... "Purple Fog" mentioned that he had some sort of Boundary Physique, didn't he? Being able to perceive Flesh Laws so quickly would more than likely be due to some innate Law Image. But "Purple".... wasn't that the name of the future White Dominion Sect Leader? Is there some relationship between them?'.

A young man with such a temperament would never become a Sect Leader. If the Elders of the Sect weren't completely blind, or completely desperate, they would immediately choose someone more stable, with a much more civilized demeanour to be the next Sect Leader.

Not to mention being twenty three and only being at the peak of Rank 2. His talent must be a low tier second tier talent. Maybe a middle-tier second tier talent.

Little pieces of information bubbled up from the depths of Arthur's memories. It had been a long time since he spent time in the White Dominion Region, and flashes of memories once thought long forgotten caused Arthur to open his eyes, his iris flashing a bright green.

"I see.... so that's what must've happened....".

On the other side of White Corpse City, a group of young women were currently arriving due to transmission array. All of them beautiful, with ages ranging from 15-16, all the way to the early 30s. None of them possessed a cultivation higher than Rank 2 Fae Master.

The eyes of one shone with a particular gleam to them. One of anger, rage, hope and desire.
