Hollowed Heavens

The Thirty Three Heavens were all planets. Completely stable, yet enormously huge heavenly bodies due to the presence of spiritual essence. Life would inevitably find its way to planets with spiritual essence, and even in the harshest of conditions, they would still try and find a way to not just survive, but flourish.

However, as a result of spiritual essence, life could be found just about everywhere. Even in places abundant with death type spiritual essence.

Even underground, amidst the enormous pressure of the earth, life still found a way.

It wasn't exactly a well kept secret, although most Fae Masters who knew about the Hollowed Heavens didn't know much about them. Finding an entrance which wasn't in the territory of some Fae Immortal, Immortal spirit beast, or variant race was impossibly difficult in the first place.

Every single Heaven, or every single planet rather, was hollow, due to the presence of spiritual essence.

Spiritual essence caused life to flourish, even within a place without any light or sunshine. Creatures grew tremendously strong in order to endure the pressure of the earth above, and without any need for sight, their sense of smell and hearing grew impossibly acute.

Before the White Dominion Sect founded their Sect in this location, this place was once the territory of spirit beasts. However, a Fae Immortal from the Amber Pride Continent, near the Corpse Shore killed it, leaving its nest and territory complete free for Fae Masters to use.

While the White Dominion Sect took the surface, something, or someone else took the space underneath....

And what did they find down there?

The wind whistled in his ears as Arthur was forced to narrow his eyes. He had already been falling for the past half an hour, with seemingly no end in sight. This hole was unfathomably deep, so deep that even the previous Arthur didn't know where it ended.

Yet the Rank 3 Fae Master clutched the number "3" token in his hands, which all of a sudden glowed a vibrant green.

A faint voice entered Arthur's ears. One that came from the token in his hands.

"Third Level: Boundless Vitality".

Arthur immediately halted his sudden freefall, his body glowing a faint green as he was led towards the edges of the hole. A large opening, filled to the brim with wood type spiritual essence and Fae materials opened up in front of Arthur. The power coming from this small wooden token guided him inside, towards a-.

Every single cell within Arthur's body felt an enormous amount of spiritual essence enter them. Despite the fact that the shadow type spiritual essence was still in abundance within Arthur's body, the wood type spiritual essence flooded every pore, and every orifice that Arthur possessed.

This was-.

Arthur's breath hitched, as he released numerous impurities from his origin essence sea. His first level Wood Laws had suddenly transformed, gaining the attainment of the world around him.

The first level of Wood Laws was: Flowering Seed.

The second level of Wood Laws was: Gluttonous Roots.

The third level of Wood Laws was: Boundless Vitality!

Wood Laws, in comparison to Fire Laws, Lightning Laws, and perhaps even Water Laws and Metal Laws fell short in terms of combat power in the early levels. Even Sword Laws and Spear Laws only focused on offensive abilities.

But what Wood Laws specialised in, far better than any other Law than perhaps Life Laws was two things!

Vitality and lifeforce!

Despite the fact that the vast majority of plants did not possess the same level of spiritual awareness as a human being did, or even an average spirit beast, their lifespans and their vitality were much longer than either of them!

This was a balance that the Dao had placed on humans and plants!

It was a restriction that limited the potentials of humans, as well as limiting their potential for growth, so that they couldn't go against the Heavens.

That's what cultivation was after all! The method of going against the Heavens! Going against what Fate set out for oneself!

Arthur was completely surrounded by wood type spiritual essence. It was so thick, that it practically formed an egg around his sitting figure. Every breath he took allowed him to inspire wood type spiritual essence into his body, letting it saturate his cells, his organs, his bones and even muscles and veins!

Every exhale released a thick, potent amount of shadow type spiritual essence. The blob of shadow type spiritual essence was quickly dispersed under the pressure of it wood type counterpart, which allowed Arthur's mind to clear, and his body feel purified.

It didn't stop there either.

The Law Image of the Affection Tree Fae in Arthur's origin essence sea bloomed, gaining a vibrant green to its leaves! The pink colour paled in comparison slightly, although in Arthur's mind, all that he was currently focusing on was the enrichment of wood type spiritual essence into his body.

His mind drifted away, letting his body revel in the boundless vitality that wood type spiritual essence possessed.

Arthur was once again drawn to the sight of an endless sea of green. Nothing but Wood and Emotion could be felt within this world. The sight of an colossal Affection Tree Fae that pierced the Heavens immediately entered Arthur's eyes, and his figure continued to stare at the enormous Mystery, unblinking and unwavering.

Every tiny detail, from the smallest of leaves, to the largest, mountain sized roots that carved their way through the earth entered Arthur's mind.

The area around said roots were barren, lifeless, yet through the power of Wood Laws, possessed countless strands of vibrant green grass. The gathering of spiritual essence from the heavens and the earth fuelled their growth, and they expanded endlessly, towards the horizon, towards the ends of the Earth.

Arthur could feel the enormous vitality and lifeforce within every single plant around him. Despite the fact that he had stepped on, and destroyed numerous trees and plants in his thousand years worth of memories, he had never noticed the fact that they always grew back after a certain amount of time.

The grass and trees grew blackened with the touch of flame, or the striking of thunder, and yet they nevertheless, grew back stronger, more vibrant, more healthy and even stronger than before!

Arthur's breath hitched and he watched an enormous tree, several hundred metres tall break through the earth beneath him. Letting its branches extend in every direction, and letting its leaves and roots cover the Heavens and the Earth!

A single golden coloured sap was released from this massive tree, which fell towards the Earth. It collided with the barren dirt beneath itself before exploding outwards, releasing a potent spiritual essence in every direction-.

Arthur opened his eyes, immediately sitting up, feeling the presence of a gaze land on his body. A sliver of killing intent leaked out of his body, before he glanced around, retracting such his potent bloodlust, noticing just where he was.

"That'll be one Rank 4 Origin Essence Sea Expansion Fae".

Arthur let out a deep breath, standing up, taking out a single Rank 4 Origin Essence Sea Expansion Fae, before leaving the large inconspicuous store, without even so much as glancing back.

Places like that were open to anyone who had the wealth to purchase their services. However one always needed to remain careful of the existence lurking behind said services.

Although it was technically considered a part of the Azure Envy Continent, the fact that it was underground made it difficult for powers to occupy it.

There might only be technically only be 20 Fae Grounds within the Azure Envy Continent, but if one took the Hollowed Azure Envy Continent into account, there might be close to double that number.
