Chapter 80: War Of The Best, Part-7# End and Beginning of The War...

In the blink of an eye, the news spread around the world like a plague. The Captain of the Devil Dragon Pirates had saved Gold Roger's son, "Fire Fist" Portgas D. Ace. But the Whitebeard Pirates lost their Captain and father Edward Newgate.

This great historical event would be spoken of for generations to come, but those who had witnessed it with their very own eyes could only stare in silence.

At the Sabaody Archipelago, no one noticed that one particular spectator had secretly been watching the broadcast.

Who else would it be but Silvers "Dark King" Rayleigh?

GLUG! GLUG! GLUG! Rayleigh took a short nip of whiskey, but when he finished, he had tears welling up in his eyes.

" So…you're gone, Whitebeard. " he said wearing a sad smile on his face.

At Marineford, the Whitebeard Pirates are making their escape.

" Hurry up! Get aboard the ship! "

" ZEHAHAHAHA… " Blackbeard laughed, " It's time. Let's get started! "

FWUP! The Blackbeard Pirates pulled out a black tarp and pulled it over Whitebeard's corpse.

" What are they doing?! " asked a Marine Vice-Admiral.

" What's Teach doing? " questioned 8th Division Leader, shark Fishman Namule. " What's he doing with Pops?! "

" ZEHAHAHAHA…" Blackbeard chuckled, " I'll show you the greatest show in the world. "

FWUP! He went under the cloth that Whitebeard's body had been put under, and the Marines began murmuring amongst themselves in uneasiness as the Blackbeard Pirates surrounded it and faced them.

" What's with that black cloth?! "

" Blackbeard and Whitebeard are both inside! "

" What are you doing?! "

" Ho-ho-ho! " Lafitte laughed, " Stay where you are and don't come too close, if you please. "

" I can't wait to see what happens! " Devon said.

" If he fails, will we disband? " Shiryu inquired.

' I'll deal with these CP-0 idiots later but now I'm going after Teach! I won't let him defile the body of the old man! ' Luffy thought to himself as he continued running towards the Blackbeard Pirates.

It took him a few seconds but he finally reached them and each of them put up their guard. " Sorry Dragon King! No peeking until the captain is done! " Laffitte told him with a laugh.

" I never thought we'd get the chance to kill another Yonko level character in the same day! " Burges yelled out, overconfident after Whitebeard's death.

Van Auger then brought his rifle forth, " Any further and your head will be blown off Dragon King! " He told without any emotion.

Luffy chuckled a little, " I should have get rid of you clowns that day. Shinra Tensei! " Luffy said as the Blackbeard Pirates were blasted backwards and skidded on the stone before coming to a stop just before the huge ravine that Whitebeard made.

All that remained in front of him was the form of Whitebeard which still had the tarp over it with Blackbeard inside.

' Jasmine buy me a neutralizer serum. '

Luffy then rushed it to confront the man. As he pulled back the tarp and got inside he immediately punched Teach in the side of the face, sending him towards the ground as he dropped something. Luffy turned back to look at the object he dropped before Teach jumped back at Luffy.

" No it's mine! " Blackbeard screeched out as he tried to nullify Luffy's ability to allow things to faze through him. But Luffy used his Dragon Claw, grabbed his neck and snapped it.

" Useless trash....." Luffy said and threw Blackbeard's corpse.

Then he turned his attention back to what Teach dropped. It was the Gura Gura no Mi, a pear-shaped Devil Fruit. Luffy smirked and injected the serum into the fruit.

Immediately the fruit emitted some black smoke and its colour changed into transparent while colour. Luffy took a bite and instantly the information regarding the uses poured inside his mind.

Blackbeard Pirates got over their injuries and began to stand up once again. As they did so, the tarp over Whitebeard's body was pulled off by one of them and it revealed Luffy, who was still facing Whitebeard, paying his silent respects.

Whereas Blackbeard was laying motionless on the ground.

Seeing their dead Captain, all of their previous overconfidence vanished into thin air and only now did they remember the man standing in front of them was not a pushover.

But suddenly two of the strongest CP-0 rushed at Luffy, as Garp couldn't keep all of five of them.

They both attached at the same time, one from the right while the other from the left.

Luffy in the face of two incoming enemies from each side just smirked and made a simple move but this simple move shocked everyone present to the core.

He spread his legs. At the same time he gently staggered forward, then clenched his fists between his chest and stomach.

" Don't tell me.... "

" Is he..."

" Impossible, absolutely impossible...."

The moment everyone saw this stance, they knew he was going to pull something but they didn't want to believe it.

Just at the the agents closed in, Luffy suddenly hammered both sides fiercely with his fist.

** Pwoof.... **

** Pshhhh...Krakkkk... **

Space cracked like mirror and shockwaves spread everywhere. His enemies were caught unprepared and both took the full blunt power of the shock.

Bone cracking noise could be heard and their heads burst like watermelon due to impact.

** Splash...Thud.. **

The headless corpses of two CP-0 agents dropped to the ground in front of the horrified gaze of the Marines and Pirates.

" H-how could he get the power of a second Devil-Fruit! " Marco questioned as the rest of the Whitebeard Pirates had a similar reaction.

" S-such amazing power! " A random Marine yelled out.

Seeing their leader and vice leader were dead, the rest of the CP-0 agents ran away without a second thought. Luffy didn't chase them and started walking away.

" Damn you Dragon King. I won't let you go. " Sengoku shouted and rushed at Luffy in his golden buddha form. Luffy was amused by Sengoku's behaviour but in the next moment he wore a cold expression.

He wanted to spare Sengoku's life, but seeing Sengoku attacking him he changed his mind. He won't give anyone a second chance and it was the same for Sengoku.

Sengoku struggled to contain the power of the Gura Gura no mi and was forced backwards as Luffy brought both of his fists to his opposite shoulders and then extended both arms outwards at a quick pace.

As expected, cracks formed in the air once again as the ground beneath began to shake and then burst outwards as many Marines were shot in every direction.

Luffy was about to use another attack to finally finish Sengoku but was stopped by Garp.

" Luffy stop, don't kill him. He is my only friend. " Garp said in a pleading tone. Luffy snorted but still nodded.

But suddenly he heard some commotion not to far away. Looking over Luffy couldn't help but crack a small smile as Shanks arrived at the scene.

No one dare move as Shanks walked down the battlefield. As he walked he began to speak, " The more and more you all fight, then more and more damage will be sustained by both sides. "

" Those who wish to fight more! Bring it on! We'll be your opponents! " Shanks continued as all of his top subordinates backed him up.

" Sengoku, let us handle the burial of Whitebeard and stop this war. " Shanks asked Sengoku.

The Fleet Admiral brought a hand to his chin and closed his eyes. He then snapped his eyes open, " Because it's you Red-Haired I'll allow it. "

He then went on to speak again, " I, THE FLEET ADMIRAL OF THE MARINES, DECLARE THIS WAR OVER! " Sengoku's voice boomed

" But Fleet Admiral- " One of the Vice Admirals tried to speak up but was dismissed.

" Go and treat the injured, I'll take full responsibility for this." Sengoku responded as the Vice Admirals obeyed.

Shanks nodded his head, " Thank you. " He then looked over to Luffy, " Are you willing to stop fighting as well Dragon King? " Shanks asked him like a stranger.

Luffy smiled, " Yes I'll leave without a fight. I did what I came to do. " Then Luffy remembered something and brought out his transponder snail.

He turned on the live broadcast and directly flew towards the flag of World Government located at the top of almost destroyed main building.

He returned to the ground and tore the white flag into fragments. Then he stomped the flag under his shoe a few times.

Then he faced the snail and showed his middle fingers, " All the motherfuckers of World Government who are watching the broadcast...fuck you. If you have guts to confront me, then bring it on. I AM WAITING...."

Sengoku's lips started twitching at this scene but he didn't say anything and left. Luffy also teleported to his ship.
