73 Behind the scene 1

Sigh…

A sigh escaped from my mouth as I looked at Tess, who was laying on her king-size bed inside her room.

It was only a few minutes after she was brought back by the Knights and since her parents were away, I had to come and check her up.

"Why did Virion return her alone? Where is Madara?" I asked myself while taking out a bowl of water and placed it on the small table that was beside the bed.

Looking at the water in the bowl, I felt myself spaced out. Instead of focusing on the thing that I was going to do I just started thinking about Madara.

The scene that I saw that day was still clued inside my head.

'What will she do when that time comes?'

My gaze landed on the sleeping Tess, the future in front of her will be hard to accept. What will she do? More importantly, what will we do?.

*Rooarrrrr*

A loud but faint roar passed the Elonoir kingdom, causing the wind to rampage in the sky.

"A beast?"

My mind quickly reacted as I stood up and walked towards the door. The moment I opened it, two knights that were guardian of the room went on their knees.

"Is there a beast outside our kingdom?" I asked the guards, who only looked at each other.

"We don't know, but there was no report about a beast that can produced that kind of roar. All the beasts in the forest are weak one that are used for training the young generation" Answer one of the guard that appeared to be a middle-aged man.

Did it come from beast glades?

"Go and find out if it's a new beast that passed the border of the Beast glades".

As the guards were about to stand up, a new knight came rushing with a worried expression on his face.

"What wrong?" I shot my question the moment he stopped.

"The source of that roar came from Sapin. We received the report from our guards who are in Xyrus city, they are saying that the city is under attack and a behemoth beast has appeared"

Hearing that, I nodded my head and told the knights to keep looking on the matter while I called the king.

I'm not the king or the queen, so I can't make decisions about what to do in this situation.

Closing the door, I walked towards the bowl of water and sat in front of it.

It would be wise to first see the situation on Xyrus.

My eyes shone in different colors as I looked at the steady water.

My deviant ability not only does it allow me to see the future and find people, but it also allows me to see any kind of place that I've seen in my lifetime.

The water acted as a screen to show me what I want to see.

'Virion'

His face was full of fear and despair. I followed the direction he was looking and there I saw the behemoth, but my eyes were fixed on the figure that was descending.

….it was Madara.

My heart started beating fast as my worry skyrocket.

'Isn't this too soon? Why is it happening now?' I questioned myself as I looked at him

The future I saw also showed me this, but it wasn't supposed to happen now.

'Then, does it mean they will also show up there?'

As if to answer my question, I saw two figures making their appearance in front the latter.

'Asuras!!'

I watched as the Asuras made the latter to go down on their knees, except for Madara.

The disadvantage of my ability is that I can't hear what I'm seeing. I'm only able to see and not hear, that's why I always focused on the way the people's mouths move.

I tried to focus on the three eyes Asura as he talked to Madara.

He wasn't talking fast, so it was easy for me to read his lips movement and picked up his last words.

"Are you with Dicathen?"

My mouth moved the same as the Asura and those words come out of my mouth.

I don't know why he asked that, but I must hear Madara's answer.

The boy who seem unshaken by the presence of the Asuras, Smirked and spoke to the Asura.

I followed his lips movement and imitated it with my mouth.

"What if I said I'm not with them?"

'Why am I feeling like this answer was the cause of everything that will happen in the future?' I thought to myself while looking at the scene.

Suddenly, A voice came from beside me causing me to break the connection to Xyrus city.

Turning my head I saw Tess standing beside me. Her eyes were fixed on the bowl of water in front of me.

'How did she get up without me noticing her?'

"I..Is that what Madara said?" The words that came out of her mouth were heavy. I could see the 'I don't want to believe that ' expression on her.

'Me and my big mouth…it seems like she saw and heard what they said. Should I tell her or should I lie to her?...

(Arthur's pov)

"Damn it"

I cursed myself while looking at my bond on my hands.

Adventurers were moving left and right while trying to control the students who were freaking out due to the situation that had happened a few minutes ago.

The whole academy was now covered with a large white barrier in order to protect everyone inside.

'What is really happening out there? First those powerful spells that I can only guess that it's a Lance who was fighting there, but then that thing that appeared out of nowhere and made everyone to went down on the ground.

The pressure released by that beast made a lot of students to faint and suffocate.

Even I myself and Sylvie weren't able to fight back with it.

'I wonder why did it disappear? And why did it look familiar '

"ALL STUDENTS ARE TO GO IN THE MEETING HALL RIGHT NOW!!"

The voice of whom I assumed to be a Professor rang out from the school tower.

"Is Xyrus under attack?" I asked myself as images of my family appeared in my head.

I stopped on my tracks and turned around to looked at the direction where the battle happened.

"Are they safe?"

The only thing that came out of my mind was the idea of going to look for them.

If Xyrus city is really under attack then I must go and protect my family. I can't let anything bad happen to them.

Anger and bloodlust started boiling inside me as I imagined what I will do if my family is hurt.

"We are going home Sylvie" I said as I started walking towards the direction of the school gate.

A few students who were in hurry bumped into me, but I ignored them and continue walking.

"Arthur??!"

Turning my head around I saw the person who called me…it was Kathylin alongside the other DC members.

"The Professors said that we need to make sure we help everyone to get in the hall, so make sure you search for any other students who have passed out" Said Claire.

"…I'm sorry guys, but I need to go home and see if my family is safe"

The latter looked at me with a questioning expression.

"But it's dangerous out there!" Said Kathylin.

"And that's why I need to go and check my family. I'll return after making sure that they're fine".

"I don't think they would allow you to leave" Said the dwarf girl.

"I know"

With the short answer I turned my back to them and walked towards the gate where there Guards were guarding the gate.

"No one is allowed to leave the school kid, go back to the hall" Said one of the guards who appeared to be an old man, but he was in great shape and seem to be the leader of the three guards.

"I need to go and see my family, so please allow me to pass"

"I'm sorry kid, but that's a no it's for your safe. I'm sure your family is safe out there, so please return to the hall" Said the guard.

He seems polite, but I can't sit still while my family is out there.

"I'm sorry" I said to the guard and I release my dominating intent towards them.

They were weaker than me, so my action walked on them.

None of them moved a muscle. All they could do was watched me as I opened the gate and passed the barrier without any resistance.

It was all thanks to the small artifact that could be found on every uniform. This artifact allows the students to pass the barrier without encountering any resistance from it.

The moment I stepped out of the academy I was suddenly swallowed by something that I didn't get the chance to see what it was. Everything went dark for a second before finding myself standing in the middle of the living.

"Brother!!!"

The cheerful voice of my little sister rang out from behind me as she jumped to hug me.

"Ellie"

Catching my little sister I hugged back as I relaxed a little.

"Wait! How did I suddenly appear here?"

"I was the one who teleported you here".

Looking at the person who said that I saw the man in uniform.

"Windson"

Beside him were my parents who seem happy and nervous at the same time.

"Why are you here?" I asked Windson while giving Sylvie to Ellie.

"He told us everything Arthur" It was my father who said that.

"I knew you were hiding something, but to have a Deity as your bond and never said a thing to us was a little too much" Said my mother.

"Please don't misunderstand what I told you. He only did that so that he could keep you guys safe " Said Windson.

Swallowing the guilty feeling I was having. I looked at Windson and spoke,

"Why did yo…"

"He said that he'll take us all the land of Asuras since you would have refused to go alone and left us behind"

My mother's words shocked me.

"Why are you so eager to take me there?"

"It's because of her and the power that sleep within you"

Sleep within me?

"Did you guys agreed with this ?" I asked my parents.

"Mm, well it's not like we have a choice, but it's just so suddenly"

"But, Lord Windson told us everything, and it seems like going together as a family is the best option.

Lord Windson?

"All that's left is the answer from you"

The moment he finished those words. Windson's shot opened as he looked at the east direction where the beast glades was located.

"No"

Before any of us could ask him what's wrong. Windson opened a portal and disappeared from the view leaving me and my family.

"I guess we'll use this time to talk about this new matter" Said my father while holding the bridge of his nose.

'Going together with my family might be the best choice to pick since I wouldn't have to worry about their safety '
