13 Senjutsu Mode, An Idea?

Author's Note:

Sorry for the no chapters the last two days. I was incredibly busy with large projects for school and couldn't find the time to focus and write without sacrificing precious time. After all, writing each of these chapters takes 2-3 hours.

But I'll keep my promise of 5 chap/week, so don't worry about that. If I get delayed, there will be chapters later that week! The next chapter is coming, most likely tomorrow.

☙☙☙☙☙ <Uchiha Mansion's Training Chamber>

A blue sheen enveloped my body as I sat crosslegged in the center of the training chamber. This was the accumulation of natural energy as I prepared to enter a senjutsu mode for the first time.

Black lines began appearing all over my body.

I opened my eyes. A series of system notifications dinged in the background.

The eyes around my active Mangekyo Sharingan had black lines, signifying the successful acclimation of natural energy into my body. I felt several times stronger than before, with my strength, speed, reaction time, and chakra arts all stronger.

The rest of the black lines traveled down my body to each of my limbs, allowing for the constant intake of natural energy while in senjutsu mode.

'So this is what Hashirama felt. How annoyingly powerful,' I thought to myself. 'Hashirama's cockroach-like vitality and sage mode... he truly was the strongest shinobi of our generation. At least, he was.'

Now that I had obtained senjutsu mode, along with my current strength, I was now on a whole different level, my strength at a level far surpassing anything seen before in the Shinobi world.

'Hmm... how would the Sage of Six Paths fare against my current strength?'

I had heard about the legends of the Sage of Six Paths, his indomitable presence in the world, and Rinnegan, the peak of the dojutsu. Despite not knowing much about this legendary figure, he was most likely the strongest shinobi to have ever existed in the shinobi world.

I pulled up the system notifications I had put aside.

-

[Ding!]

[You have unlocked the following ability!]

+ [<A+> Sage Mode {Rank-up Not Met}]

Sage Mode proficiency [0.9%]

Juubi chakra [0%]

Return to Earth (Naruto World) [0%]

-

My eyes widened in surprise.

'The place I originated from was called the Naruto World? What is Naruto?'

I pondered for several moments, but I could only think of a narutomaki, the swirly pink things in ramen.

'It's just a name, I suppose. Shouldn't hold much value.'

I instead turned to the most crucial topic—the Juubi.

'Ten-Tails Chakra? How do I obtain that without returning to...'

'I see. The ??? must refer to the name of the shinobi world. Why is that knowledge unavailable to me?'

I used a jutsu to test whether it would boost the proficiency rate.

'Sage Mode: Zokyo Energy Susanoo'

However, something completely unexpected happened. Instead of my towering 100m tall golden Susanoo, I found a much denser, 3m tall avatar closely enveloping my body. My hands were enveloped in the Susanoo, allowing me to hold each chakra blade.

It looked like a far more miniaturized but devastatingly powerful version of the original Susanoo. The proficiency rate was significantly increased, shortening the time to mastery by a tenth.

I also noticed the Sage Mode proficiency slowly increasing as I maintained it. If I were to maintain this new Sage Mode: Susanoo form, reaching 100% proficiency would only take a few days.

I had the four wood clones have Sage Mode: Susanoo activated until I reached max proficiency before I had them start fighting each other to awaken full-body Susanoo as soon as possible.

☙☙☙☙☙ <Day of Arnold's Return>

I prepared for school with my four wood clones, diligently training my newly obtained Susanoo. I used Kamui once again to move the two girls and me to the entrance of their building, 1A, before using Kamui again to teleport directly into my classroom.

Izumi had inherited the prized super ability of the family, [Quickdraw]. Its ability allowed one to use a tool or weapon in particular circumstances instantly. Users would be able to cut down a tree immediately after its activation or fire a dozen bullets in a split second.

On the other hand, Yuka awakened [Ice Creation] and [Ice Manipulation], reminiscent of the kekkei genkai present in my former world, Ice Release.

They both wore golden uniforms, so I recognized their potential as future assets in achieving my goals.

The teleportation drew quite some suspicion for obvious reasons. The students thought my superpower was to create illusion due to my ability to turn intangible and create wood structures. They already thought that was the extent of my capabilities, as having two superpowers was odd enough; however, my ability to teleport looked like a whole new ability.

Surprise was evident on their faces as I teleported into the classroom with a swirl.

"Wait, Madara has three super abilities?!" Ivan whispered loudly to his sister, Anastasia.

"It's either that or the illusion ability also gives him the ability to teleport... but I've never heard of an ability like that before. It's way too diverse," Anastasia replied. "What can I say? Uchiha's are a freak, as always. I wonder how good he is at actual fighting, though."

She looked curiously at me before shrugging her shoulders at her brother as if in resignation. It was probably the only explanation they could come to, anyways.

'I wonder how they will react when they find out [Energy Arts] is only a single ability despite its hundreds of diverse jutsu available in its arsenal.'

As I looked around, I saw Rina looking warily at me while she sat close to Arnold, who looked at me with pure, unfiltered hatred.

'I think I understand how you feel, Arnold, though unfortunately for you, you will never get the taste of it.' I smiled and shook my head as I got seated in one of the back-row seats near the window.

"Yo! Madara!" Zane yelled out as he quickly ran up the steps before throwing his stuff down and sitting beside me.

His hair audibly crackled from static electricity, and even my hair slightly stood up due to it.

I nodded in recognition of his presence, but I continued to gauge the reactions of the others.

Zane had already been the one to reach out to me, making my job easier. His gold uniform signified that he had immense potential to become someone at a level higher than that of a Kage.

'Hmm... finding good potential tools here would be useful later on when I begin my rise to the world's top.'

The Headmaster spoke up soon after.

"Good to see you, Madara. Your classmate is back. I hope you will act with restraint and not cause any trouble for me," he spoke grimly, emphasizing how he did not want the trouble of dealing with me.

"Be assured, Headmaster. I will not act out against anyone unless purposely provoked," I replied simply with a small smile while continuing to observe the brats.

Other than Arnold and Rina, who looked at me angrily, the others did not seem to hate me.

Isak, as always, was sleeping soundly on his desk, with his black hoodie covering his head. I knew little about him, but if I had the chance, I would see if he was a potential candidate to be my tool. Based on what I've heard about him and his powers, he hid something under his casual and carefree demeanor.

Faith sat calmly at her desk, waiting for the Headmaster to begin lecturing. Despite her golden uniform, it was slightly different than the others, being more akin to a priest's robe than our athletic, tight-fitting ones.

'Someone mentioned her being related to the church. It seems those words are accurate. Perhaps some sort of sponsorship, or maybe they raised her.'

I was interested in Faith's ability to create something tangible out of virtually nothing and if she obtained her ability through the church or if it had nothing to do with them. Her high potential and calm and collected personality were essential characteristics of an effective tool.

Diana, on the other hand, was a more complicated case. She came from a prominent family known for their strong aptitude in fire manipulation, giving her an arrogant disposition, unfitting for her weak power.

'Those who rely on their family's power to give themselves confidence are usually the weakest ones.'

However, I still kept her on the list for potential tools due to her golden uniform.

Akira, on the other hand, was the most likable out of everyone. He had straight, black hair with an appearance similar to those in the Uchiha clan. A sword was attached by his side, making me reminisce of the Samurai from my previous world.

'I think he was from... Japan? I feel as though there is some sort of cultural overlap between that country and my previous world... is it a coincidence?'

I put the thought aside; I would investigate it later. Akira, despite not having a golden uniform like the others, had the potential to become Kage level based on his purple uniform.

'Another strong candidate to be my tool.'

Anastasia and Ivan, however, were interesting cases. Based on their frequent eye contact but without verbal communication, I suspected them of having some sort of telepathic communication.

Also, both had high potential, and based on their closeness, bringing one over would most likely convince the other to join, making my recruiting efforts more manageable.

'However, It won't be easy to bring them over to my side. I'll have to think and create a situation where I can put them into my debt...'

Then I suddenly thought of an idea.

'Perhaps... I could play the antagonist using my clones?'

A plan began quickly formulating in my mind.
