28 Sports Competition

They went back to their seats when they saw their adviser enter their classroom with some papers in his hands.

"Settle down everyone. I have an announcement about the school's extracurricular activity, which is a Sports Competition this Friday and Saturday."

Everyone cheered at this announcement as it means there were no classes on those days.

"There are lots of choices for students to join to, so everyone is required to join one sport. So I won't accept excuses about all the sports being full." Several disappointed 'ahh's can be heard inside the room.

"I'll leave the sports list to your Class Monitor. Get your names listed in any sports you're interested in immediately because some have limited spots."

Jiang Xiu who was sitting together with the Class Monitor, Ren Junjie, grab one of the papers and went to Jiang Yue's desk.

"What sport are you going to join?"

"Anything."

Kang Jinhai grabbed the list and exclaimed, "Hey look! They also put Rule in Rivalry as an e-sport here! Then I'll join this one!"

Wan Zhu, who heard that also grabbed the paper, "When did our school become so open to internet games?"

"I heard it was suggested by one of the Student Council members. If I'm not wrong, it was Cheng Jiayi." A classmate of them who also played Rule in Rivalry, explained.

"Ahh, no wonder. That girl has a cousin who is an e-sports player." Another one was added.

At this point, there were already ten of them who were discussing Rule in Rivalry and crowding Jiang Yue's desk, causing her to furrow her brows.

Their Class Monitor came up to them, "The Student Council just announced that the champion for the Rule in Rivalry tournament will be given tickets to the 'Rule in Rivalry: International Ultimate Battle'. So if I were you, you all better grab this chance."

Almost all of the male students in Class Eleven play Rule in Rivalry, when they heard that they felt their blood boil with excitement.

"Holy Shit! Are you serious?"

'Rule in Rivalry: International Ultimate Battle' was the awaited International tournament of the game. Every e-sports player who will show up in that tournament is well-known and has a fanbase.

"You can check the school's forum, they just posted it."

"Our school is finally doing something right!"

"Are the groups for the tournament per class or what?"

The Class Monitor answered, "It's not per class. Anyone can create a 5-player team."

"Rule in Rivalry is the only game they added for the sports competition? If they added Altersky, I would surely join." Another one stated.

Jiang Yue perked her ears when she heard that.

"What the hell are you talking about? Altersky is an MMORPG, it isn't the best choice as an e-sport game for our school."

"But they have a large player base though."

"They should add Altersky soon as an e-sports tournament here in our school, my equipment there are all high grades!" Wan Zhu boasted then grabbed his good friend's arm, "Brother Tian let's join! Let's join!"

Gao Tian shook his head as he pointed out, "We'll have a basketball practice and it might coincide with the tournament practice."

If they make a team for the tournament, they had to play a few matches and practice as a team to be familiar with each others' way of operation.

"We've always won the basketball competition anyway, let's try something new!" Their classmate who was also discussing with them, had an ugly expression on his face when he heard that.

It is true though that Wan Zhu and Gao Tian always won the basketball games at the school.

Class Eleven could be insulted with their grades and attitudes but the other classes could only praise them when it comes to sports.

The other students of Class Eleven are also good at other sports.

"Then why don't you create a team with your basketball team members also? That way you can all agree not to have a basketball practice and just focus on the tournament. Isn't that brilliant?" Kang Jinhai suggested with a grin on his face.

Wan Zhu slang his arm on the other guy's shoulder and patted him, "Ay! Brilliant indeed! Let's go~ Oh are you gonna play with us?"

Kang Jinhai nodded, "Of course!" Then he turned his attention to the girl who already dragged her chair away from them, "Brother Yue, let's join the tournament! I've never joined one before!"

"Yeah! Participating in the tournament is less hassle compared to other sports. We can just buy an account for you Big Brother!" Wan Zhu added.

Hearing his suggestion, Jiang Yue thought deeply about it and then nodded.

She indeed does not have to put a lot of effort into it.

Gao Tian then added when he saw her agree, "I have an extra account, It's still on the rank 'Overlord' but I think we can manage to make it reach 'Executor' before the tournament."

"No need, I have another account." Jiang Yue declined.

"...Oh that's good." Gao Tian was quite doubtful about it but in the end, agreed.

"What sport are you joining?" Jiang Yue asked her sister who was quietly listening to their discussion.

Jiang Xiu shook her head and then said with a hint of hesitation, "I want to join you guys though, it looks fun."

She can see that Jiang Yue is interested in games.

She wants to learn more about it so she can have something to talk about with her sister. And aside from that, her body isn't fit for any sports. She's afraid she'll bring trouble instead if she participated in any physical sports.

"Then let's form a 5-player team. I'll teach you, and I have an extra account that you can use." Jiang Yue stated.

Wan Zhu who heard that, reproved, "Jiang Xiu isn't familiar with the game—" He hasn't even finished his words when Jiang Yue's cold eyes turned towards him.

"Yes, yes! Let's form a team!" He changes his words immediately, afraid to pull a certain tiger's whiskers.

Kang Jinhai patted him on his shoulders this time, "Aiya! Don't worry! Brother Yue will carry us!"

Gao Tian grabbed a paper from the Class Monitor, "What shall we name our team?" He asked as he wrote their names on the participants for the Rule in Rivalry Tournament.

"How about 'nice'?" Jiang Xiu suggested.

"Why is it 'nice' though?" Wan Zhu couldn't help but ask.

That's a weird choice for a team name.

"Because you're all so nice..."

Gao Tian was dumbfounded.

He hesitatingly nodded when he saw that Jiang Yue doesn't seem to have any problem with the name.

"...Then we're the 'NICE' team..."
