Unrequited Love

Her words were resounding in his head 'I love you', what did she mean. Did she had feelings for him too. This was impossible, she had always treated him like an older brother.

Wei Wei on the other side was thinking of something to say. Usually she was very talkative and never came across a moment like this, where she couldn't utter a single word. She was fiddling with her fingers that were poking out from the man's jacket that were a few sizes too big.

She could feel his perfume lingering in her nostrils, she had never been so close to him and tonight they had become one. Her crush had hugged her, kissed her and touched her. Joy was filling in her heart. She was happy. She was truly happy, the man that she adored the most and was so unattainable for her, now belonged to her.

Pei Lightian observed the girl's little movements and was getting worried. 'Is she uncomfortable? Is she afraid of me now? What have I done! How can I face Ye Ze now...' Wei Wei was still thinking about something to say when her thoughts were shattered by the man's words.

"I made a mistake..."

Wei Wei looked at the man who had now came to a stop at the side of the road. Had she just imagined that he said something? This wasn't what he said right?

"Wei Wei, I am so sorry..." The man looked sorrowful he had his head down, with his eyes closed. Droplets of perspiration were trickling down his face. He exhaled deeply and said "I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, or anyone's. I can't even forgive my self. I have deeply wronged you..."

"Brother Tian you didn't!" The man was interrupted by the girl's soft voice. He opened his eyes and his senses were suddenly awakened.

"I love you!..." Wei Wei said it again "I started loving you since I was nine years old... I have been trying to confess my feelings for a long time, but you always had a girlfriend by your side and I didn't dare..." Pei Lightian was shocked by her words.

"You can't, this is wrong!!! Can't you see?!" The man shouted at her. Wei Wei shrunk in her seat. Was this unrequited love? She was a fool, how could she have said so openly that she loved him. Wei Wei's face started to redden. She pulled the car door handle she wanted to get off, she was too ashamed to face him, but the door was locked.

"Open the door!!" Wei Wei shouted, tears forming in her eyes.

"Where do you want to go like this? I will take you somewhere to change and then I will take home!"

"No! I want to get off right now!!!" Wei Wei fought back.

Pei Lightian sighed and relented. He unlocked the car door and Wei Wei jumped out and started running away. Her body was very weak though, he had consumed all her energy, so after a few steps she collapsed on the floor.

Wei Wei was on the ground, tears were now streaming from her eyes and washing her face. She squeezed her fist grabbing the soil with her fingernails. From behind her, the other car door was heard opening. The man got down and was walking towards her. A shiver of fear enveloped Wei Wei. This is not the Brother Tian she knew, the one that spoiled her all the time. This man was fierce and heartless. He toyed with her, stealing her virtue and now he wanted to throw her away like a piece of used trash.
