2 Unlucky Exorcist

The moment they entered the small home Miki and Gorou both smiled at Alexander. He did not know if it was because he was now part wolf or something, but he could smell their good intentions. Alexander could not help, but complain he did not have this in the past.

'This ability would have done wonders in my business deals. Smelling the intentions of people will be so useful. I will be sure to use this in my future business deals.'

He was knocked out of his thoughts when he heard Miki's voice.

"Welcome to our home. Consider it yours as well. We already picked out a room for you."

He gave them a fake smile as he was not the best at smiling. Especially now when his teeth were like those of a wolf. It made smiling uncomfortable especially when his 4 canines got in the way.

"Thank you for taking us into your home. Could not have been an easy choice."

Miki just shook her head as she noticed his issue. His teeth were unique so it made certain facial expressions difficult for him. She wondered if they could take him to a doctor to smooth them out, but she had to ask him first.

"You don't need to be so formal. Consider this your home. This way."

He followed the both of the toward the room they picked out for him. It was rather plain as a single bed was by the window and a dresser with nothing in it. Alexander placed Ragnarock on the bed and watched the wolf inspect the bed.

He noticed how the wolf was about to complain about it being so stiff.

'Just this once pretend you like it.'

Ragnarock sighed and did as he was told. The small wolf rolled on the bed to give the impression of being a normal pup. Alexander sat down next to him and sighed in relief.

"You know when I still lived on the streets, my only source of warmth was an old dog who I named Daisy. So, I thank you for taking me in."

This was just Alexander speaking from his heart. No one had heard him speak of his early days not even Dariel as that was something he preferred to keep to himself. If his backstory was the exact same as his past life it made sense.

Both Gorou and Miki sat next to him as they placed their hand on his shoulders.

"Well champ, you now have a home. You don't even have to think of us as your parents as you are probably too old for that. Just think of us as your uncle and your aunt if that helps you."

Miki gave him a tight hug as she patted his hair.

"You know, your eyes look truly gorgeous."

Alexander looked at himself in the mirror and saw he looked just like his past life. The exception was his husky-like eyes and his pitch-black hair with purple highlights in it.

"Thank you, I have been told I look part dog. They truly gave me a compliment. Dogs are better than people as they do not abandon you.

Miki hid her expression as it was full of sadness. What could have driven his parents to just leave him? Gorou sighed as he stood up.

"Well, that won't happen here Alexander. We will let you get set in."

Both Miki and Gorou left him and Ragnarok to their own devices. When the door closed his smile died as if it was never there. He exhaled as he stood up and looked at his pet.

'Alright, time to get some things settled.'

Suddenly a set of black wolf ears with purple tips popped out of his head. A tail popped out of his lower back from his tailbone that wagged behind him. He noticed how a hole had magically appeared in his pants, but it was not a tear.

Ragnarok approached his tail and swatted at it in confusion.

"Yeah, guess I am one of you now."

That seemed to have excited the young pup who sat next to Alexander who was thinking of something. It was like it magically appeared through his clothes. Alexander grimaced as his senses were far stronger like this than before. He could hear Gorou and Miki talking about how they made the right choice to adopt him.

He could hear all the people talking around him so he focused on their conversations. Some of it was pretty normal. He even managed to find out the date when someone asked the date.

"September 3, 1990. I can be the first man to make a smartphone early. I do not want to think about the crap that they called a phone during this time. I also will miss my watch."

Alexander stood up and looked at Ragnarock.

"Well, I am poor now."

Hearing that made the small wolf fall limp on the bed as he would have to eat cheap meat. No more prime-grade food as it would all be choice. Alexander chuckled at his pet's actions before he also sighed as he would have to eat like a regular person.

'This is terrible beyond terrible. Alright, good thing I know all there is to know about mobile phones and how to make one. I just got to get the part to do it all. What can I do to get money quickly?'

Just as he was thinking about it he started to feel something odd. He did not notice it at first, but he was seeing some colorless mist flowing toward him. Ragnarock looked up in awe at the mist that was flowing around them.

'What is that?'

Alexander reached out and touched the mist. The moment he made contact his body began to draw it in like a tidal wave. A warm and confronting feeling made him fall on his bed with a euphoric look on his face.

'Now, this is a high I can get used to.'

The feeling only lasted a few seconds as the torrent stopped.

"What was that?"

He raised his hand and saw the mist flowing through his fingers. He felt like he had perfect control over the mist so he waved his hand to make it spin around it. He used both his hands to mold and shape it before he thought of something.

'Darkness.'

The mist suddenly turned into a mass of rolling shadows that flowed like water around him. He could 'feel' the shadows like they were solid which was just so peculiar.

"Ragnarok, give it a try. Think of something and I think it will work."

Ragnarok did the same and drew in the strange mist and thought of the scary lights in the sky. He closed his eyes to picture those and bursts of electricity flashed around the wolf for a few seconds that stopped soon after.

"Was that magic?"

Alexander thought of something else and turned the mist into flames that covered his hand like a glove.

"Spin."

As he said that the flames on his hand began to coil and spin around his hand perfectly.

"How easy?"

If any mage saw what he did they would curse the world at the unfairness. Even top genius took hours to even be able to feel mana. It took them even longer to be able to shape it, not to mention Alexander who had never even thought of magic in his life.

"Wait a minute?"

He gathered the mist in his palm and made it condense into a mass.

'Red Diamond.'

A giant rush of mist which was mana condensed in his palm into a small red crystal. He held it up to his face to get a look at it and shook his head.

'Not a diamond, it only looks like it.'

He squeezed it down and cracked it into dust.

'Guess it won't be that easy. However, if I can make gold to sell, I will be able to get a kick start of funds. That or scammed.'

He was excited to see how far magic could go, so he decided to keep playing around with it. However, just as he was going to do that he heard footsteps going toward his room.

'Crap.'

He very quickly focused on his ears and tail and magically they vanished as if they never were there. As for the hole in his pants, it also disappeared. Miki walked into his room as it was time to eat.

"Alexander, lunch is ready."

He got up and walked down to eat. His mind was focused on magic, so he just followed the motions.

'What can I do with magic? What are the limitations? What I am doing is just making mana do something, no spells. Where can I even learn spells, to begin with?"

When he sat down he grabbed his fork and stuffed the food into his mouth. He did not chew as his enhanced senses were disgusted with it. Nothing was wrong with it to a normal person, but to him, it was full of flaws.

Gorou and Miki ate their food as they watched him eat the food. He pretends to chew as he really could barely stomach it.

"It's delicious."

His body began to break down the food, but not for nutrients. He would have to eat plenty of normal food to sustain himself as a 9-tail had high requirements. Especially because his bloodline had come from a Goddess that claimed to be the daughter of Fenrir.

Miki smiled at the praise.

"Thank you. I tried my best."

'Oh my God, this is foul.'

He drank some of the miso soup and felt the need to puke.

Ragnarok noticed and bit his leg to get him to calm down. That feeling managed to let him swallow all of it without puking. Gorou and Miki ate their own food while Alexander felt like killing himself.

He also paced himself to not look like he was a slob, but he was about to cry. After what seemed like forever he finally managed to eat the whole thing.

"Thank you for the meal?"

Miki smiled at him.

"You can have seconds."

'NO!'

"I'm ok. Thank you."

He went back up to his room with Ragnarok and fell straight on the bed.

'Holy shit that was the nastiest thing ever. If I was human it would be normal, but what changed? Do I need to eat raw meat these days or something?'

He sighed as he closed his eyes to sleep. This was going to be terrible if his meals were going to be like that. He would have to find out what he could eat, but for now, he was stuck.

---

After he was adopted by the Hyuoudous they helped him get accustomed to his new home. They were kind people but Alexander had been searching for information. One thing he found was his wolf bloodline made his mind clearer, faster and stronger.

He was always smart, but now he felt he was even smarter. He was constantly experimenting with his magic on what he could and could not do. Making the mana take shape of different elements was easy, but making it do spells was not.

He was only shaping raw mana and not in magic circles so he could not do the advanced stuff. He also noticed that some of the mana he absorbed seemed to be outside his control. It seemed to be gathered somewhere he could not access.

He had no idea why, but he just thought it related to the so-called armor and sword he was given. The more time passed the stronger his beastly instincts became. He was considered a puppy at the moment as an adult 9-tailed wolf was a calamity class creature.

Alexander at every moment of his free time experimented with his magic. In the end, he managed to create some gold nuggets that he would have to find a place to sell. He would either have to find someone who was willing to buy or a jewelry store.

At the moment he was in the living room with his eyes closed. Ragnarock was being carried by Miki as he was quite friendly when told to be. Miki was about 4 months pregnant which was not too late or too early.

He had once again escaped his middle school. He was the tallest kid there and the smartest which was unbearable for him. He was 50, not 12 so being around kids was far too annoying for him.

He did make sure to finish his homework and classwork so he could pass. That was a headache for Miki and Gorou, but they choose to not pursue the issue as long as he kept his top grades.

He noticed Miki was looking at him trying to say something but did not know how to get the words out. He sighed as he was really being a bother, but he was not going to go to school with kids.

"Sorry I got out again aunty. I already knew what they were teaching and I finished all my homework for the week early. Even the classwork so I had nothing more to do. I even took extra just so I could prove a point."

She patted him on the back as she smiled gently.

"You proved that well. You can do high school level work so don't worry about it, but you can't do it forever."

"I will try."

Gorou smiled and patted his shoulder.

"While you did escape school, you still finished your work so I guess it is fine."

Alexander was 50 years old mentally, so of course, the school was not something hard for him. If anything it was unbearable being around pre-teens as he was too old to understand them at all.

"Thank you."

Gorou pet little Ragnarok who seemed to like them as his master was happy.

---

Just like this, he spent the next few 4 months where he learned about himself and a bit more about the world in school. One Saturday he woke up at 4 in the morning as he had very little need for sleep.

He got up in the dark and got dressed in black jeans and a black hoodie. Ragnarok was already awake and watching.

"Come on."

Ragnarok jumped after Alexander who started to walk toward the front door. Very rarely did people say anything when they saw him as he was already at the average height of adult Japanese men.

He had grown 2 inches since he arrived in this world he was now 5'8. At just 12 years old so as long as his hoodie was up no one could say anything. He glanced down at Ragnarok who was no longer exactly a small pup. He was the size of a 1-year-old wolf which was rather large.

"Wel I got a few things I need to get done. First, find a place to sell all this stuff."

Alexander reached into his pocket and pulled out a bunch of golden nuggets. He knew they were real gold, so he should get a good return as long as he threatened the person who was buying. He knew the scam that was selling gold so threatening was a must.

Ragnarok sniffed the yellow rocks in confusion. He did not know why the dumb humans liked shiny rocks. Obviously, meat was more valuable as you could eat it.

"First step first find a jewelry store that is open. "

Alexander pulled up his hoodie and let his ears emerge. He managed to stop his tail from growing so his senses were to the max. People traffic was rare at this time of night so he just walked around looking.

Sadly Kouh had only one jewelry store and it was closed at this moment.

"Well shit. Guess I will have to come later in the morning."

He sighed and started to leave. His right ear twitched as he heard the sound of breathing near him. It was on the roof and looking right at him. He did not stop moving and kept walking as if he was oblivious to the person following him.

'Human, female, about 26 years old, they have a gun on them with strange bullets, they mean to follow me to make sure I am not a threat. Curious. Hey, Ragnarok act you can't see her.'

The wolf walked next to Alexander without trouble as if he was not even being watched. As for the strange woman who was following Alexander, he finally got a good look at her. She was blonde and looked to be western much like Alexander himself.

More importantly, she was dressed in a strange get-up that made him think of the church. As for the woman herself, she just felt something off about Alexander so she decided to follow him. She did not realize that Alexander was luring her into a trap.

Alexander knew if he left her as it was she would probably notice something was off and report him. Not just anyone could jump from building to building as if it was nothing. She was completely oblivious that she was in the palm of his hand.

After a short walk, he entered into an ally way which she jumped above to follow him. When she looked down she noticed he was gone making her realize something was wrong.

"Too late."

Suddenly she screamed out in agony as lightning coursed through her body. Using that moment of shock Alexander grabbed her in a chock hold.

"Move even a little and I will snap your neck."

To show it he clamped down and cut her air supply with just a tightening of his arms. She began to suffocate and very quickly she knew that she was no match for this guy. She did not even think he was a kid as his voice was far deeper than a kid his age.

One benefit of his size and his own control of his own body.

"Breath, I have plenty of questions."

Ragnarock growled at her as his master held her steady.

"First question why did you follow me?"

Just as she was about to bite the poison capsule in her gums Alexander stuck his fingers in her mouth. He grabbed the pill and pulled it out of her mouth before she could so much touch it.

"Smart, but not good enough."

She tried to bite her tongue, but Alexander used his hand to stop her.

"Easy now, can't have you dying on me, but I can't have you thinking I am playing."

He grabbed her wrist and snapped it causing her to scream. He covered her mouth with his hand to stop her from screaming. He patted her head with a sadistic smile on his face. Torture was an old friend of his.

"The faster you answer the faster I can decide if I should kill or let you go."

Suddenly she spoke to him.

"Let me go. The church will hear of this Devil?"

He raised an eyebrow as he got a new piece of information already.

"What is a Devil? Thank you for informing me of a threat. Here."

He grabbed her thumb and broke it making her shriek. Once again he stopped her from screaming.

"Come now darling, we got all night. Tell me why you were following me."

She closed her eyes as she started to pray, but Alexander squinted his eyes. He could see a type of magic gathering in her mind making him curse. He snapped her neck and sighed in disappointment.

"Fuck, she was more zealous than I expected. The Vatican in my past life did have its own private forces, so I guess that follows here. As for this one, she was probably going to pray to inform someone. God maybe? What do you think Ragnarock?"

He saw the wolf shrug as best a wolf could. Alexander rolled his eyes as he started to walk away, but he stopped. His instincts flared up to the point that it felt painful. He glanced at the corpse as he felt drool fall down his face.

'Don't tell me.'

Alexander grabbed her corpse and looked at her blank eyes. He licked the bit of blood that spilled from her lips. He felt a rush of energy and the taste was far better than anything he had tasted before.

"Down the hatch I guess."

Alexander bit down on her head and broke through her skull easily. Blood spilled down his chin onto his hoodie, but now he could not stop. He removed the clothes as they would get stuck in his teeth.

He did not realize it, but his fangs and teeth became far more wolf-like as he crunched through bone like it was fragile. He went into a shot frenzy as he devoured everything, not even a piece of bone was left.

Of course, there was a bloody print on the ground from all the blood. Alexander came to and realized he had totally devoured her. On the ground were her torn Exorisit robes, her sword, and her gun. She even had a cross that he picked up.

"She was an exorcist I guess."

Just as he was about to grab the sword he fell limp to the ground. Ragnarock rushed to his side worried for him, but Alexander was far too shocked to respond. His body began to convulse and shake in pain.

He felt like his bones began to break apart in waves. Alexander howled in rage and pain as he quickly removed his hoodie and shirt. His back muscles ripped apart his skin as black fur began to replace them.

He howled at the sky as he began to grow much larger than before. He grew to a height of 4 meters while a second tail emerged from his back. The moment he acquired a second tail he felt a rush of magic and power that affected his mind.

He was about to go berserk and give in to the rage and instincts of the wolf, but thanks to the second tail he managed to control himself. If that was not enough he felt something begin to grow on his body.

The armor he was promised began to cover him starting with his legs. The more of his body that was covered the worse he felt his instincts become. He clenched his teeth as the armor reached his neck.

The wolf-shaped helmet began to creep up his face as if wanted to devour him. When the bottom and top jaws of the armor covered his werewolf-shaped head he felt everything begin to lose its meaning.

Before that feeling took over his mind he focused on himself and took control back from the cursed armor. Just as he thought it was over he felt a second rush of rage and hate that made him curse.

'DAMN IT! YOU BELONG TO ME, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!'

Around his right hand, a dark purple crackling energy began to appear. A black handle appeared in his hand that he clenched that began to grow into a giant dark purple blade that seemed to be made of glowing purple crystals.

The entire thing was over 3 meters in length, but it still felt as light as a feather in his arms. A dark purple glow began to travel through his veins and even in his brain. His eyes glowed the same color as the blade in his hands making him glance at it deeply.

It was like he was in a trance as he gazed at the sword that raged and screamed for souls and blood. He placed his forehead against the sword as he felt its name rush to his mind.

'The Dark Star Saber. Whoever named it that knew what they were doing?'

He was barely keeping it together as the instincts of a beast, and two cursed artifacts were not helping him. He did not realize that the Dark Star Saber, the Berserker Armor, and his transformation had unleashed a dark aura over Kuoh Town.

Alexander realized something was wrong when storm clouds began to gather above him. They were not normal as Dark Purple lightning crackled in the side of them.

'Oh shit.'

He placed the sword on his back as he grabbed Ragnarock. He sped away as he used the mana around him to make the wind help him. He quickly rushed to leave Kuoh Town as he needed to figure out a way to hide the signs of his transformation and items.

Otherwise, every time he used it he would become a beacon.
