5 Money, and Meeting Cleria

Following his deal with Ingrid, Alexander arrived at the jewelry store which looked nice on the inside. When he walked inside with Ragnarok, the owner was waiting behind a desk.

"Wel-"

He was about to greet Alexander but got quiet when he saw Ragnarok.

"No pets allowed. Get that mutt out of here or you will be asked to leave."

Alexander walked to the entrance and moved the sign so it said closed.

"HEY! I am not-"

"Shut up."

Alexander's eyes began to glow a dark purple as he looked the fat man in the eyes. This caused the man to freeze up and fall into his chair. Alexander walked toward him step by step until he stood in front of the man.

"I would not do that if I were you."

Under the desk was a shotgun the man smuggled in. Guns were not allowed to the Japanese people, but the fat guy was not Japanese. He somehow managed to buy one and he had aimed it at Alexander's legs.

The man froze when he heard that so he just asked what Alexander wanted.

"W-what do you want?"

Alexander reached into his pocket and pull out 10 gold nuggets.

"I was going to sell these at the right price, but then I remembered something. why bother? I can keep my gold and take your money."

Alexander drew in the magic in the air and used it to send a mana discharge in the store. This shut off all electronics like the cameras which had not seen his face. Plus any video they captured as well so he was free to do as he pleased.

Alexander reached over and grabbed the man by the neck. He lifted him straight off the ground and grinned.

"Where do you keep the money?"

The man grabbed Alexander's arms with tears in his eyes.

"R-r-register. Safe."

He dropped the man and looked at Ragnarok.

"If he moves, kill him."

Lightning began to crackle around the wolf who growled at the man. His eyes glowed a dark blue while Alexander ripped open the register. He pulled out all the large bills and put them in his pockets.

He walked into the back and found the safe in question.

"Here it is."

He looked around and found a backpack which he grabbed from the back. He dumped all the stuff out and grabbed the safe handle. He ripped it out and inside saw jewelry, money, and even some guns along with ammo.

However, what truly sickened him was the pictures. He grabbed the pictures and saw naked images of children.

'Sick fuck.'

He burned them up with magic, but besides that, he stuffed everything into the backpack including the guns and ammo. He would have to count how much he made, but it would be enough for a start. When he walked back to the front he saw Ragnarok was still looking at the fat man.

"Kill him."

Without question, Ragnarok lunged forward and ripped the man's throat out. With that done, he went through the place and took every piece of jewelry he could find. Once not even a single one was missing he leave.

When he reached the entrance he turned around and held his hand out. He drew in mana and ignited it. The fireball in his hands quickly burned blue which he tossed into the store. The fireball exploded and began to burn up the place rapidly.

"Fire and mana seem to burn well. Let's go."

Ragnarok followed behind him as they left the burning jewelry store. Seems the fat bastard happened to have some sick hobbies. Even if he didn't, Alexander would still kill him. He did not know how to mind wipe yet so death was a quick way to hide things.

He placed his backpack on his back and began to leave the place with Ragnarok. No one saw him and all the cameras in the area were disabled. He made a clean getaway, but he needed to leave quickly. Exorcists and Devils would be drawn to the fire so he ran away with Ragnarok as fast as possible.

Once he was home free, he took a deep breath and looked at his friend.

"That went well. We can afford some good food now and a means to fund my future ventures."

That sounded good to the wolf as it meant no more needing to eat cheap choice meat. He was used to the best and it tasted better after all.

"Might as well go to the park."

He and his friend walked to the park and found a nice bench to sit at. When he sat down, Ragnarok jumped on his lap to wait for Ingrid. While he waited, he pulled out his medallion.

"Did you find that fun?"

The red eyes glowed brighter showing that it in fact did. Though it would find more joy in a battle where it could actually shine. Alexander smirked.

"You and me both. Well, we got a whole world to fight after all. Plenty of fights where we are going. You two as well."

He referred to Ragnarok and the Dark Star Saber. He closed his eyes and patiently waited for Ingrid as she was the one who was going to find him. Just as they agreed on, she arrived at the park three hours later.

When she saw him she ran up to him a little worried.

"Cleria wants to meet you right now. She needs help as the best she can do is restrain the corruption. What did you do to her?"

He opened one of his husky-like blue eyes and sighed.

"She got cut by my cursed blade. She distracted me when I was going through a mental conflict. So this is both our fault. I should be able to stop it if I can see her. Though, why did you come alone? You could have come in full force, but you didn't."

Ingrid answered quickly.

"Cleria ordered it. She felt you would see us more sincere if we did not come with an army. Just me. No one is around."

Just to be sure, Alexander's ears emerged from his head which twitched searching for anything living. Strangely there were no people, only some animals. Ingrid looked at the ears and found they matched the description. Pitch black with purple ear tuffs.

They were strangely cute but made Alexander look more menacing. Once he found no one was around he pulled back his ears. He got up with Ragnarok and stood in front of Ingrid.

"How do we go to her? Car?"

She shook her head.

"I can teleport us to her house. Just stand next to me."

Before he did that he sent some magic toward his medallion which caused the Berserker Armor to begin to cover his body. Before long he was covered in cursed armor with the wolf helmet creeping up his face.

He stopped it and pushed the helmet back as he needed to lay down the law.

'I am in command. Not you. Don't do it again.'

The armor did not seem pleased, but for now, it obeyed. Still, he could feel his negative emotions rising which were easier to control the second time around. He did not summon the Dark Star Saber as that was harder to control.

"I am ready."

Ingrid could see that the armor was the most cursed thing she had seen or felt. How Alexander wore it she could not tell. However, she nodded. A magic circle opened under the three of them which flashed once Ingrid activated it.

In a flash of light, they arrived at a different location. The first thing Alexander saw was how luxurious everything looked. Reminded him of his study, but this looked more like something of old Midevil Europe.

He was distracted as many Devils began to enter the room. They were all armed and warry, but they were not attacking him. He merely tensed his hands which caused his claws to extend. The Berserker Armor grew with them showing them that he was not unarmed.

"What a welcome. Ingrid, do I take this as a betrayal."

She shook her head.

"No, they were just the guards for Lady Cleria. She is waiting for us. Follow me. All of you return to your posts."

The Devils gave Alexander the stink eye as they vacated the room. He did not say anything as he followed Ingrid through the house. They left the room they were in and followed the stairs to the floor above them.

At the end of the hall was a pair of double doors with two guards on either side. These two wore full metal plate which was red and from their aura were a level stronger. They even made Alexander itch for a fight, but he restrained himself.

Ingrid led Alexander toward them, but they did not so much move or look at them. They just opened the door for them so both of them walked inside. The guards closed the doors behind them so Alexander looked around.

He quickly saw a large royal-like bed in which the white-haired Devil was laying. Many of the veins around her face and neck had turned dark purple as the corruption was spreading. Ingrid rushed to her and held her hand.

"I brought him, my lady. He says he will remove the curse." '

Cleria opened her eyes and looked at Alexander. He pulled down his hoodie, let his ears and two tails emerge.

"So that is what you look like."

Alexander walked toward the bed and looked her over.

"Not expecting me to be so young?"

"Yes, I expected you to be old."

Now that he was here, he looked her in the eyes and sighed.

"Where I left off yesterday. It was not my intention to fight you. It was my first shift, and you distracted me at the worst moment."

Cleria sighed.

"Sorry about that."

Alexander extended his finger and placed it on her face. He began to draw out the energy that was hurting her and very quickly her pale complexion began to recover. Once all of it was gone she quickly got out of bed.

She touched her face and felt how she was beginning to recover. She felt relieved that she was alive and not in pain. Just then Alexander sat down in a chair and smiled.

"So, you got anyone in your life?"

Cleria did not understand the question until she looked into his eyes. She got the message and gulped. He smelled the Exorcist on her body and with his memories of the night before, he put two and two together.

Ingrid however did not know so she answered for her.

"She does not, and she is not interested in you. Make do with the date I owe you."

Alexander shrugged. Cleria looked at Ingrid and ordered her to leave.

"Leave us be. We have much to talk about."

"Yes, my lady."

She bowed and left the room. The two guards closed the door and once it was closed Cleria opened a small bounded field to keep their conversation secret.

"What do you want?"

Alexander reached down and pet Ragnarok.

"Information. I want to learn more about this world and I also need a business partner. I think you might be a good choice as you look to be rich. At the very least a Noble am I right?"

She nodded.

"Of house Belial. I am part of a branch family and I am in charge of Kuoh Town."

Alexander thought about things for a bit before he gave her an offer.

"Let's work together. You help me with my small business venture, and you can make it big. I don't know if human money matters at all to you Devils, but here on Earth it does."

She stopped him.

"Of course, it matters. We Devils own many large businesses in the human world. How big are we talking?"

"In the Billions with time."

She squinted her eyes at him.

"What is your product?"

"A phone. I can explain in detail, but just know it will be mobile and big enough to fit in your pocket. This will sell, trust me. I just need the parts to make the first prototype."

Cleria thought about it.

"So you have not made the first version yet. You are asking me to invest in air at this point."

Alexander stood up.

"I just need the parts and a few hours. I can show you what I can make and you will see just how big this will be. Plus, we can help each other. I help you and your boyfriend if you need it and you help me. You know how strong I am. We can sign a magic contract after you see my work and decide if you want to help me or not.

But having a good relationship with me won't be too bad for you now, will it? Better than to fight me."

Cleria thought about it as dating her lover was dangerous. However, helping Alexander was just as risky. But he could be a good ally if things ever went south.

"Fine, show me what you can. I will give you the parts you need, and you make your prototype. I will see if it is worth anything. Now onto the more important thing you wanted. Information. I can give it to you if you promise me one thing.

We will make a devil contract for this by the way."

He stoped smiling and looked at her seriously.

"What is it?"

"If the worst comes to shove and my lover and I get caught, you need to be ready to fight to save us."

He thought about it and stood up.

"You will get killed if it is found out a Noble Devil is dating an Exorcist. The risk is high to me and the reward I say equal in value. But, why should I bother when I can just take more time to learn? The information you will know would speed up my process, so the risk I would be taking would be reduced with the knowledge."

She did not interrupt as he talked to himself for a minute or two. He went through the benefits and drawbacks before he sighed.

"Fine, but you can't get caught so easily. I will help you two if the need arises. Might be fun."

She nodded.

"Now, let us go through out contract more seriously. This might take a while."

Alexander simply leaned back in his chair.

"I know the trade."

"Then let's get to it."
