Chapter 3
Sunlight hits my eyes as it's morning. I almost sit up in the bed but stop when I feel Yuna's arm on my chest. Looking at her, I just wonder what the future holds for us. She looks so peaceful and cute. Yuna starts to open her eyes and sees me looking at her.
"Good morning beautiful." I said to her as she stares at me.
"Good morning Michael." she replies back with a smile.
Then she relies that she has her arm around me and I see hear face get as red as a tomato. Yuna quickly gets out of bed and starts apologizing to me as I chuckle and wave it off.
"It's alright, Yuna."
"Ok..."
I finally get out of bed and stretch out my arms. I feel that my muscles feel a little bigger than they were yesterday. I get a cigarette out and light it up. The plan for today is to head to the closest settlement so I can get supplies and info about becoming an adventurer. I still need to train and get stronger to face the Dark Lord as well as protect Yuna. I am her bodyguard after all.
Yuna decided to make breakfast as I quickly found out that she has storage magic as well. I guess it's time I get the chance to talk to her about what she can do.
"Yuna, I need to know a few things. What kind of magic do you know and what your weapon is?"
"Ok, Michael. I can use wind magic and I have 2 weapons. I have a bow but I ran out off arrows right before you found me and I also have a short sword which I lost."
"We'll find your sword and when we get to a town or a city, I'll buy arrows for you. Where's the closest city or town near here?"
"Rommol is the closet. It's the capital of the human kingdom of Hearth. That's where I was heading before I was ambushed by the goblins."
"Why was you heading there?"
"I'm friends with Princess Iris. She's 19 and like a big sister to me."
"I see."
Yuna isn't the best cook but the breakfast was good. Eggs and bread isn't much but it's better than nothing and I don't plan on eating deer all the damn time. As soon as we were done, we started to head towards Rommol. Luckily, it was the same direction as to where I found Yuna yesterday. 50 feet from the spot was Yuna's short sword. I begin to wonder about something.
"Yuna, have you had any combat training with that sword?"
"A little from my father but I mostly trained as an archer. The train with swords and archery while the women train in archery only as we're not allow on the frontlines in case of a battle."
"Just me voicing my opinion but I think that's a bunch of bullshit. Women need to learn how to fight with a sword for their protection. When we get to Rommol, I'll see if we can find someone to help train you with that sword."
"THANK YOU MICHAEL!" Yuna yelled as she wraps her arms around me.
"Easy Yuna. You'll attract unwanted attention if you're loud." I reminded Yuna.
"Sorry."
"It's ok. Just a moment of excitement."
It took us 3 hours to get out of the forest. I can see a road ahead by a few hundred feet and about 5 miles ahead of the road was Rommol. We get withing a few feet of the road when I hear sounds of a battle.
"Yuna, you hear that?"
"Yes!"
"Let's roll!" I always wanted to say that.
We both started running towards the sound of battle. Took about 5 minutes but we made it to see a giant one eyed monster hit a knight with his club as there were 4 other bodies lying around, groaning in pain and agony. There's a female knight that is still standing ready to fight with her long sword. By the way it looks, she's in big trouble.
I fire 5 shots at the cyclops as I yelled," TAKE THAT, YOU ONE EYED SON OF A BITCH!"
All shots hit there mark. One in each knee, one in the stomach, one in the chest, and one in the eye. He fell dead on the spot. The female knight turned around to see the both of us with her sword still ready to swing until see she saw Yuna more clearly.
"Yuna? Is that you?" the female knight yelled.
"IRIS!"
Both ladies hug each other for a while. I start healing the 5 other knights that were wounded by the now dead cyclops. I let the ladies talk to each other while smoking a cigarette. When I was done with my cigarette, I notice both ladies walking towards me.
"Princess Iris I presume." I said.
"Yes, I am Iris Hearth. first princess of the Hearth Kingdom. Who are you and what weapon did you use?" Iris asked as I could feel her using some magic on me. Must be Appraisal.
"My name is Michael Barnes and I used a gun to kill the cyclops. As you see that's why I'm a gunman since you used Appraisal on me."
"You're quite smart to notice that, Michael. I must thank you on behalf of the Hearth Kingdom for saving us. Are you by chance heading to Rommol with Yuna?"
"Yes. I need supplies and to find an adventurers guild so I have a steady source of income as well as training. I also need to find someone to train Yuna with the sword."
"I can train Yuna. And I would like for you to meet my eldest brother, The King as he will like to talk to you about this battle."
'It keeps getting better and better' I thought sarcastically.
After a few minutes all eight of us head towards Rommol. The 5 knights in front, the 2 ladies behind them I was holding the rear. I could hear the ladies talk to each other and several times could see both take glances at me and blush. I wasn't a chick magnet in my past life so why are they blushing at me? Could it be my charisma stat? As soon as I can. I need to check my stats as I know I leveled several times after killing the cyclops.
Getting to city gates, we are greeted with the guards and a carriage. Iris, Yuna, and myself enter the carriage. I take out my phone and checked my stats. My face went pale.

Both ladies see my face go pale and ask me what it going on. I looked at them and then back at the phone. I pass out.
