Quite a big sacrifice...

Nodding his head, Ethan just pulled Katherine more closer to him and held her hand firmly as he started to say, "Kathy.. Actually, I was thinking about how our marriage... Like how had it taken place all of a sudden without giving us much of a time for anything...

We never got much of a chance to communicate with each other nor we got to spend some time together. It was just all in a hurry. I know every girl dreamt of a lavish wedding with their friends and families with her..

Although few of your relatives attended but the guest list didn't even cross the quota of twenty people. Even, there wasn't no one from my side also to make our marriage more happening. It was just a plain wedding which no one would've desired for.."

Katherine was a little confused with Ethan's words, so she asked, "I know that our marriage happened in such a way that we couldn't enjoy ourselves fully. But why are you bringing the topic out now?"

Ethan's grip on her hand grew a little tighter but it wasn't too much strong to hurt her.

"It's because I want you to keep our marriage hidden from everyone until our relationship gets so strong that no one be able to break it.. I want to fail every attempt of our bad wishers to break us to show them true love does exist…

Moreover, you're such an amazing girl that you deserve all the happiness of the world. You deserve to be treated like a queen. So I want to hold a big wedding for us few months later again, not because of anyone's last wish but only out of love..

We couldn't be able to hold a reception party, nor did we have our first dance. But this time, I want to throw a huge party on the name of our successful married and a happy life of us." Ethan finally poured out everything he was feeling right now, in front of his wife.

Whereas Katherine was just quietly listening to his every words, without interrupting him in middle.

On the other side, Ethan was getting very tensed with every passing second for not getting any reply from her.

He knew whatever he had asked from her was quite a big sacrifice for an married lady. But he didn't have any other choice than this for sorting out the mess that's been around him.

What it seemed to feel like hours when it was just few minutes passed, Katherine finally opened her mouth to say, "Ethan, I can understand you completely. And it's true that, like any other girl, I too wanted a wedding with all of my friends and family members..

But the thing is we are already married and we cannot change the fact. Now you're my husband and I have promised my whole life to you. I don't want those big wedding and reception anymore. I'm already satisfied with what I have.

Especially when the person that I got married to, is such an amazing husband who prefers his wife's priorities over himself. So please let's not be so much secretive. I know we need time to fall in love and make our relationship stronger. But we can do it anyway. Why so much secrecy then?"

A small smile broke through his lips, hearing her reply. But he couldn't compromise with few things at any cost when they were world to him.

Cupping her cheeks in a gentle grip, Ethan said, "I know that you're the most selfless girl of the whole. And this quality of yours makes me more firm on my decision to give you, your dream wedding. So, will you please help in accomplishing this only wish of mine?"

His voice was filled with warmth. Even though he was practically pleading in front of her, but it had a sweet essence in it which could melt anyone's heart in just few seconds.

Katherine could notice the urgency in his eyes which made her finally oblige to his wishes.

"Okay, fine.. But only for few months.. okay?" Katherine asked.

Ethan finally sighed in relief and said, "Thanks Kathy.. You're the best wife any man could ever get."

Katherine smiled at him and replied with same intensity, "And you're the best husband any girl could ever get."

Ethan just chuckled at her response and happily pulled her into a hug before kissing her hair as they spent the rest of the evening with lots of fun..

Katherine smiled at the thought of the memory and got back to her work..

As she had joined her back to her office after almost two weeks of leave, so she had lots of work pending, resulting a busy day for her..

Work pressure was so much that she didn't even notice when her office time got over and now she was waiting outside of her office building waiting for her husband..

Soon a black car drove over and the window rolled down, giving Katherine the view of her husband's handsome face.

Ethan gave her a bright smile and said, "Come on, Kathy.. Hop in.."

Katherine chuckled at his words and entered inside the car with a huge grin on her face.

As soon as she buckled her seatbelt, Ethan started his car again and drove away from there..

But what they missed to notice was one pair of eyes watching over their every single action with bloodshot eyes.
