But what they missed to notice was one pair of eyes watching over their every single action with bloodshot eyes.

His fists were clenched tightly as if trying to control his anger while his cruel mind had already started formulating an evil plan..

"Hmm… Seems like you got a new man in your life, Katherine dear! Is this the reason behind your blatant rejection? But don't worry, baby…

Your happiness won't last for too long as I don't like anyone to touch the thing which is mine. Hahahaha…" The person said with cruelty, dripping in his voice while an devilish smirk was still playing on his lips.

A big mansion could be seen which was surrounded with different kind of trees and plants. As it was night, the lights were already on which was giving the white Mansion a more shining look.

Inside the mansion, a man in his late twenties could be seen enjoying his drinking session, completely alone with some pop song playing on the background..

His eyes were focused on the TV where some business news was playing. Although the TV was switched on but the volume was at it's lowest so that it couldn't overlap the bass of the song.

Truth to be told, he was only reading the headlines but not interested in the fake story that the reporters were buzzing on.

"Boring! All are boring! Can't they show something more something for me to have a good grip on the latest gossips? Stupid news channels!" He murmured in irritation, not finding any of topics to be interesting.

He was about to change the channel when he heard his phone ringing. By the caller tune itself, he got to know about the person who was calling him so late at night as it was already past eleven in New York.

"Hey babe.. Missed me?" It was the first question that the man asked the caller after picking up the call.

"You know better than anyone that how I much I miss you all the time. But the question is, do you ever miss me Mr. Troy Anderson?" Came the angry voice of a female which made Troy gulp his saliva in fear.

"Obviously, I miss you baby.. Is this even a question?" Troy said, smiling sheepishly.

It was enough to boil the lady's anger as she sarcastically said, "Oh really! Then care to explain me why I didn't get any call from your number from past two days?

Now please don't give me any excuse of you being extremely busy. Because this stupid excuse of yours is not going to pacify me this time."

And this was the moment, Troy knew that he had really fucked up!

He realised that no one could save him from the clutch of his furious girlfriend. But still he couldn't lose all of his hopes just like that…right?

At least, he needed to give it a try!

Hence, praying to Jesus to save his life, he started speaking in his sweetest tone, "Honey… This time I was actually busy. You know right, I'm leaving for L.A. in a couple of weeks..

So I have to sort out everything here before that. Moreover, after I reach L.A., my all time will be only for you. We'll go out, do shopping and as much fun as possible. Now, please don't stay angry at me anymore. You know how much I love to see your smile…right?"

Troy waited eagerly for his girlfriend to give him a positive response as he knew that she couldn't resist him for too long..

Like he predicted, soon he heard her saying, "I'll be waiting for you then.."

Troy smiled hugely, finally relieved and said in a soft voice, "I love you.."

Two days had already passed and days seemed to be usual like every other day with Katherine's feelings for Ethan growing more and more by each day..

It was already past Katherine's working time but she still hadn't left her office yet as the last meeting got delayed by one hour..

She had already messaged Ethan about her being late and asked him to go home without her as she could take a cab back to home.

Finally, after a hectic day, Katherine was ready to leave, only to find the whole office empty..

Sighing at this, she took the elevator to the ground floor. Coming outside she started to walk through the hallway towards the exit when she felt someone's presence behind her.

Instinctively, she turned around to see if someone was truly following her or it was just intuition..

But when she found none, she just shrugged away the thoughts of being followed by and continued on her way..

However, as soon as took the turn to reach the main reception area just beside the exit gate, suddenly a masculine hand covered her mouth, making her scare to the hell…
