One Last Push

Lex ran towards the Skeleton with full intent to attack before it disappeared back around the corner, he promptly followed it before jumping back around hiding himself from danger.

Lex looked at the clutter of eight Skeletons all huddled around the Skeleton Knight.

'So this is an intermediate dungeon, although it must be a new one to be so weak, I wonder if this Dungeon even has a boss.' Lex thought to himself as he tried to calm down his racing heart, he also needed to regenerate his stamina.

In World Of The Chosen, you had to wait an hour to fully regenerate your stamina, due to it being a VRMMO, one-hour in-game time equated to one hour in the real world. Lex knew he needed to be extremely cautious of what he did next.

Lex had figured out this wasn't a beginner dungeon due to the Skeletons having classes, beginner dungeon monsters didn't have the ability to acquire classes.

Intermediate dungeons as their peak would have a third evolution monster as their boss, with Lex's current strength it would be impossible for him to defeat one. Although, if the boss was newly established that would mean it would almost be at the second evolution, if Lex hurried and farmed as much as he could he would be able to beat a boss at that level.

Monsters that spawned in dungeons didn't just spawn in at their highest level in World Of The Chosen, much like the players, monsters needed to level up over time until they reached their peak. This meant that most dungeons were usually cleared within a week of them opening up, to minimise casualties.

Lex needed to stalk the Skeletons, if they were meeting up in one location it was also likely that they had patrol routes they stuck to, if he could figure out a pattern then he could slowly eliminate them one by one.

--- (This "---" signifies a time skip, I will usually mention how long has passed in the paragraph below.)

After three hours Lex had almost levelled up, he roughly knew the pattern the Skeletons took, he also managed to figure out he was inside the outer part of the dungeon.

Lex looked at his experience, he couldn't believe how close he was to level up, 'It'll only get easier from here!' Lex exclaimed in his head.

Level: 1 (94/100)

While Lex checked his experience he noticed something that he skimmed over the first time, 'I have quests, skills and an inventory!?' Lex thought to himself before trying to check what quests, skills and inventory.

'Quests'

***

Optional Quest: Conquer The Dungeon

Failure: Death/Escape From Dungeon

Reward: 5 Attribute Points, 1500 EXP

Daily Quest: Survive 24 Hours (19Hrs 47 Min)

Failure: Death

Reward: 3 Attribute Points

***

'It seems that I'll get stronger regardless like a monster, but I am a human right?' Lex thought to himself as he proceeded to check if he had any skills.

'Skills'

***

You Do Not Possess Any Skills

***

'I guess that makes sense, I only recently arrived here.' Lex thought whilst nodding to himself, next, he checked his Inventory.

'Inventory'

***

You Have Not Unlocked Your Inventory

***

'I see, maybe it's locked by level requirement, I might need to level up a lot an inventory would be very useful and convenient.' Lex thought whilst rubbing his chin.

Lex let out a deep sigh before he got up off the ground, he dusted himself off. 'Let's find that level three.' He thought to himself before making his way towards where he remembered the level three Skeleton was.

After a short while of walking, Lex spotted the Level 7 and 8 Skeletons, he decided to stay far away from them since he couldn't beat them yet and if he walked to a different area he would risk running into a Skeleton Knight.

Eventually, Lex finally saw the level 3 Skeleton, after confirming his eyes locked onto the Skeletons skull. If he could shatter its skull the battle would be over decently quick, however, he would need to use a tremendous amount of force.

Lex started sprinting as fast as he could with only one target in mind. The Skeletons neck.
