Selection Tournament(Part-02)

"Sophia's pokemon is unable to battle. Scarlet wins." Bertha-san announced.

"Yay, Vulpix. We did it." Scarlet rejoiced.

She hugged her Vuppix.

On the other hand, Sophia was looking frustrated.

Well, I do think that Scarlet is a talented trainer. The match was very intense. Sophia was having upperhand in the first half of the match. But Scarlet finally wins the match.

"Second match will start now. Daisy has the a Chansey with her. So, why not Scarlet and Sophia heal your Pokemon now. Oliver and Roy should get back to the position." Bertha-san said as she is acting as a referee.

I get into the position. Roy stood the opposite side of the field.

"Okay, this will be a one and one Pokemon battle. Bring your Pokemon the moment I count three." Bertha-san announced.

"Sorry Roy, but I must say that I will win the battle." I said to Roy.

"Don't worry. Me and Rattata is not gonna be an easy opponent." Roy answered.

"Okay, get ready... 3...2...1... Go." Bertha-san announced.

I faced off against Roy in a small clearing, ready to battle. I sent out my Shinx, feeling confident that we could win.

Roy released his Rattata, and it darted towards my Shinx with Quick Attack. I saw it coming and told Shinx to dodge. It managed to avoid the attack, and I felt relieved.

"Nice one, Shinx! Now use Thunder Shock!" I shouted.

Shinx charged up and fired a bolt of electricity at Rattata, hitting it squarely. Rattata stumbled back, but quickly recovered and retaliated with a Tackle.

Shinx braced itself for the impact, but the attack still managed to knock it back a bit. I could see that Rattata was faster and more agile than Shinx, and I knew I had to come up with a strategy quickly.

"Shinx, use Leer to lower Rattata's defenses!" I commanded.

Shinx glared at Rattata, intimidating it and lowering its defenses. I saw my chance and ordered Shinx to use Charge.

Shinx's body began to glow as it absorbed energy, making its next attack even more powerful. Rattata charged at Shinx again, but this time, Shinx was ready.

"Use Tackle, Shinx!" I shouted.

Shinx charged forward, its body crackling with energy, and slammed into Rattata with a powerful Tackle. Rattata was sent flying, and it landed with a thud, defeated.

"Rattata is unable to battle. Shinx wins. The winner of the match is Oliver." Bertha-san announced.

"Yes! We did it, Shinx!" I cheered, running up to my Pokemon to congratulate it.

Roy recalled his Rattata, looking disappointed. "Good job, that was a great battle."

I smiled, feeling proud of Shinx. "Thanks, Roy. It was a close one, but we managed to come out on top!"

After that, the third battle occurred. The battle between Rose and Jasmine was truly a good battle. Both of them were powerful or you could say that they were at least equal level. But Rose used a tricky technique and won the battle.

The last battle between Anna and Ryan was totally one sided. Ryan had totally upperhand in this match. Ryan's won against Anna by using the first move. Can you believe it? He was totally powerful.

"Okay, we will continue the remaining matches after lunch. Everyone should eat your lunch now and take rest." Eva-san announced.

After that, three of them left the field.

"Hey, Roy. Wanna have lunch together?" I asked Roy.

In these days, I got closer to Roy. He is a kind boy after all.

"Sorry, I don't feel like having something now." Saying that he left the room.

Well, he has already lost in the first round. So, he must be feeling frustrated.

It seems I have to eat alone. I kinda feels disappointed.

"Why not we eat together?" A beautiful girl offered me.

"Ah, Sophia-san! Why not?" I was surprised by seeing her. I have never imagined that she would offer to join me.

"Wait, are you guy having lunch together? Are you sure about that Sophia-san? I mean, you know about him right?" Anna asked Sophia.

"It's okay. I have already got permission." Sophia-san replied.

"Then let me join too." Anna-san insists.

"Why not? Are you okay with that, Oliver-san?" Sophia-san asked me.

"I don't mind. The more is merrier. Besides, what do you mean by permission?" I asked her.

"Secret." They answered at the same time.

When we were talking, Ryan started to left the room.

"Hey Ryan, why not join us?" I offered him.

"I don't have time for social gatherings, hump." Saying that he left.

"Ryan has a good look. But he is kinda rude." Anna muttered.

"Okay, let's go to the cafeteria." I said.

"Okay." They nodded.

After that, we started to go toward cafeteria.

Scarlet-san was following us.

"Ah, Scarlet-san is going to have lunch in cafeteria too?" I asked her.

Normally, she prepare her own lunch. That's what I have heard. But it seems today is different.

"I-I haven't prepared my lunch today. So, I was think of having the free meal from Cafeteria." She replied.

"I see. Then I must have imagined something like you were hiding your bento. Why don't you join us too?" I offered.

"I don't think I like eating with you. But if you're insisting this much then I will eat with you. Be grateful." She said in tsundere tone.

"Yeah, I am really grateful. I will be more grateful if you share a bit of your delicious food with me." I smiled.

"If you insist this much, I will let you eat half of it. I am kind after all." She muttered.

"Thank you very much, Scarlet-san." I thanked her.

Seeing me thanking her, she blushed and after that, she went opposite direction of cafeteria saying, "I think I will have my food in my room."

Looks like I won't be able to get some food from her.

"I am sure that she will regret her action just now. She will be eating her food while crying." Anna muttered.

"I agree." Sophia agreed.
