25 Chapter 25 Sightseeing

"A-Are you giving this to me?" The girl asked.

"Yes, use it to buy a meal for yourself and your sister, and try not to rob someone again, you girls are too weak to be thieves" I muttered before walking away.

"Wait..." I heard the girl's voice and turned around.

"You don't want anything in return?" The girl asked as she moved closer to me.

"Do you have anything to give?" I asked since she brought up the subject.

"No, that's why I'm asking, I have nothing to give in return" the girl spoke with her head down.

"I don't want anything from you, but you should try your sword skills since you have a sword, even though it's a beat-up sword, it can still be useful for training" I muttered while walking away, and this time she didn't call back.

I didn't need to look at the map to know my way back since the lower district wasn't as big as the upper district and before long and with less staring since the sun was already coming down, I finally reached the gate of the upper district and I was let in.

It was just a straight road to the magic academy and after there, I have no idea where my house was, I've gone out plenty of times but I'm usually in the carriage so I don't know the way back, but I have a communication crystal so I wasn't worried.

As soon as I was in front of the academy I brought out the crystal, infused little Mana and it shone dimly and immediately I heard a voice.

"Young master, where have you been?" The person behind the voice sounded in distress till I heard a sound and I knew the reason why.

"Xavier" I heard my mother's voice and I froze, "Where have you been, first where are you?"

"Hi mum, I'm in front of the magic academy" I muttered.

"He's in front of the academy, go pick him up" I heard my mum's voice but before she could continue speaking I drained the Mana from the crystal and the communication ended.

The rider had already been sent to get me, and I'll still face her, so it's been to face her at home where she can see my face, I'm sure she'll be unable to shout at me.

My parents in this world were the best, I was currently 18 years old so my parents weren't going to have a kid after me so I was the kid to my mum, even if I tell I wanted to stay in the royal palace, I'm sure my mum would try to pull a few strings, even though it won't work.

I stood close to the gate of the academy and then I heard a voice and turned towards the gate, the female instructor who I fought against was standing at the gate staring at me.

"What are you still doing here?" She asked.

"I'm waiting for my rider to pick me up" I muttered.

"For over 3 hours, it's been quite long since the tests were over, were you here all this while?"

"No I went somewhere, it hasn't been a minute since I came here?" I quickly spoke.

"Ohh, you look really familiar, I didn't get your name?" She asked me.

"I'm Xavier, Xavier Quinn" I muttered.

"Quinn, wait so your dad is..."

"Yes, the head of Avalon forces" I muttered smiling underneath.

"I'm going to be your formal instructor so I'm going to see you around" she spoke as she walked away.

'Formal instructor, at least she's powerful, now I can't wait to start, I'm definitely going to keep a good relationship with her, so if the chance arises, I can bang her and copy one of her skills'

A smile formed on my lips as the thought ran through my mind and from the side of my eyes I could see something running towards me, I quickly turned to the side and the rider was almost racing towards me.

Since it was almost nighttime, the streets were not as busy as it was, and this was the upper district so people don't usually do business at night.

The galloping sounds finally stopped as the rider stopped in front of me, I saw the look on his face and smiled a little.

"Don't worry, I won't let them fire you" I muttered.

"Please young master, I have a kid, and your mum said after bringing you back home I should go and never come back" The rider bowed his head as he spoke and opened the door of the carriage.

"She's just angry don't worry, I'll talk to her" I spoke before entering the carriage we rode home.

As soon as the carriage stopped and I got down, I could already see my mum seated close to the flowers with a look that said it all.

As I began walking towards her she stood up and was staring at me till I got close, she waited to get an explanation but then I hugged her, my face pushing onto her chest.

"Hey what are you doing, don't try to cuddle your way out of this, where did you go after the test?" My mum asked immediately.

"I just went sightseeing, and mum you look really beautiful, is there a special occasion?" I asked.

"Really, I didn't even put on anything, really" my mum muttered as a smile formed on her face.

"You didn't even ask me how the test went" I muttered.

"I don't need to know, I know you passed, let's go inside, it's cold out here" she muttered and a smile formed on my face as I followed her in.

"Oh mum, please don't fire the rider"

"I'm not going to fire him, he has a kid" she muttered, "What...why are you looking at me like that?"

"I love you mum" I muttered and she froze then I realized I'd never really said that before.
