Each demon for himself

When Yuko realized that everything that happened the other day was real, he heard a voice; "Hello yuko, how are you?" He got scared and looked around trying to find where that voice came from, but he didn't found anybody, there was only him in the bathroom.

"We shall talk yuko. I'll need to explain you some things before we start our journey" Yuko was looking himself at the mirror thinking that he might have made a mistake.

"Don't you worry yuko, everything will be alright, now be calm and listen to me. We are one now, this means that your body is mine too. I'll let you use most of the times, but sometimes I will use it, okay?"

"In-In what times you will need to use it?"

"Oh, you'll know when it happens, but that will be only in extreme cases, so you don't need to be thinking about it."

"R-right." Said yuko.

"Second thing, I probably should have told you this before, but since you didn't seemed interested I kept it for me. I have told you that each thousand years I choose an avatar, it has not pasted one thousand years since my first visit here yet."

"Before, let me get something straight, you are, like, a second consciousness in my mind?" Asked yuko.

"Pretty much, yes. Now listen yuko, this is important. The demon realm it's at total war. Some years ago leviathan killed a lord demon.

This waged a war never seen before, because now through an ancient enchantment demons can steal other demons powers, the hierarchy system has falled for each low level demon wants to absorb the most quantity of power, so they can transform into lords and king demons themselves."

Yuko didn't have any reaction, he could barely breath. "W-what are you just telling me?"

"I'm telling you that it's each demon for himself now. Even the highest level demons are fighting each other, the meta now it's to become not a lord, not a prince or a king for them, but the demon God." Surprisingly, lagan voice sounded pretty calm.

"I rushed my encarnation here for this reason. We need to get stronger to survive."

"WE?" Yuko asked in a nervous voice "Yes, we. We are together in this now, yuko. It will be a good thing, belive-me."

"Here in the human realm I'm hidden in your body, but the thing is, there were others that had the same ideia. That's good for one side, because we will have to fight and defeat demons equal or below our level. The bad side is, we can also be the target of stronger demons, so we have to take care with that."

"What if I die?" Yuko asked.

"Don't be dumb, you not gonna die I will make sure of that."

Yuko was standing in front of the mirror talking to himself, that was not quite a normal vision for the person that just entered the bathroom, it was a classmate of yuko called Joe.

"Yuko, man, everything alright? You seem not that good." Said Joe

"Oh Joe, how are you man? Is guess the launch I brought from home didn't hit so well, but I'm fine now."

"Oh, okay then. Hey bro, what the hell was what just happened? The entire school is talking about it man, they are saying you are like a new superman or something." Joe looked super hyped when talking about the recent event envolving yuko.

"Oh, that? I was just defending myself man, nothing more."

"Yeah man, but how did you do that? They were saying that you, like, made kail fly ten feets away or something." Said Joe with a overly excited voice.

"Come on man, you know I'm your friend, you look so good, it is not possible that puberty hited you so late, like, yesterday you were this wimpy kid and now it looks like you are a fighter. Is it some kind of new droug? The one the rumors are talking about?"Joe's voice changed rapidly to a serious tone when talking about the drug.

Yuko went close to Joe and stared him like fighters would do: "I don't know what in the hell you are talking about joe."

Joe felt a threatening aura coming from yuko, he got scared.

"H-hey man, you know I'm your friend, just wanted to check if you are okay, don't get it wrong." He was sweating.

"It's okay Joe, I'm going out now, have a good one."

Yuko continued to stare at him as he walked out making Joe get even more creeped out.

"What a figure that Joe." Said lagan, "Also yuko, we need to take Iza back at the Pilgrim forest, she probably still in that old house."

"At the Pilgrim forest?!" As yuko talked people that were walking in the halls looked with a weird face to him. "Yes, the magic she used to send you to the demon realm was too strong, she probably got drained out."

"Ok, let's go then."

"Also yuko, you don't actually need to speak out loud to everyone see, if you just think I'll hear it as well."

"AND YOU TELL ME THIS JUST NOW?!" He Yelled loud enough anyone next could hear.

"Hahaha, my bad."

"I'll try to get used to that." Calmly said yuko.

Yuko skipped school saying he was not feeling that good. Walking deep in the Pilgrim forest he thought;

"You know, this place is beautiful. In autumn is even better, I don't know why people say so much bad things about the forest, it's probably just invented creepy stories to scare kids and horny teenagers."

"I don't know, personally I'm feeling quite a macabre vibe here, definitely something is going on." Lagan spoke.

"Hey, that was a personal thought. You don't have to answer anything I think, you know?"

"Oh, alright, gonna take more care with that." Said lagan with a pretty sarcastic tone.

Yuko was contemplating the forest as he was walking to the house where Iza was, at a point he started to feel a bloodlust aura from far, It was like nothing he ever felt, he could feel a power; A desire for fighting.

"Guess you felt that too, this is the demon instinct, it has a lot of uses, one of them being to feel enemies or friends from far." Said lagan.

"So there's an enemy where Iza is? We gonna have to fight?"

"Yes we probably will have to fight. But don't worry, we are quite a high level demon, kinda, It will be alright."

As much as yuko got near the abandoned house, the aura got stronger, until they find a big green creature making animalistic noise.

"Wow, that's a demon goblin. What this little guy is doing here? They are very common in my realm, he probably felt the smell of magic and stopped to take a look, they might be big but are not strong, you should take care easy of him yuko."

The goblin that was clearly with the intention of atacking the house, turned to yuko when he felt his presence, he screamed very loudly something that was not possible to understand and was slowly moving to yuko's direction.

"Ok, it's time to teach you something new yuko. When fighting you can fight in your human form, It will be strong but also puts a limit to our power, to fight with stronger entities you'll have to make a level 1 transformation of me."

The goblin was coming for yuko and he was backing, "No need for that yuko, come on, to make the level 1 transformation just take a memory that makes you angry and focus that energy, it will come naturally."

"It's not that easy as you put it lagan." Said yuko. The goblin was each time closer, yuko closed his eyes trying to search a memory, he remembered the day he got beaten by the school bullies; He did it!

Yuko made the level 1 transformation in the exact time when the goblin hited him throwing him into a tree, he was able to defend himself.

When transformed at level 1, yuko gained demon wings, a red aura of power and a powerful sword.

"Very good, we can defeat him like nothing." Lagan seemed pretty excited and proud of yuko.

Yuko was holding the sword in the right hand, he ran to the demon goblin that tried to attack him with his hand, the goblin was big, this made him slow, yuko just dodged the attack and while the goblin hand was stuck in the ground he ran trough the goblin arm cutting his head off clean.

When transformed yuko gained even more agility and all the fight movements that lagan had collected across his life. "Wow, I didn't knew I could do that." Said yuko surprised with his own new power.

The goblin body falled in the ground and became some kind of energy that went to yuko, "What was that?"

"Remember when I said that we need to kill other demons to get stronger? That's it. I conjugated an old spell that makes the quintessential power of creatures come to us after we kill them. Feels good?" Lagan sounded hyped when teaching yuko.

"It really does. I can feel my power increasing, That's magnificent."

"Sure it is. Also, so you can turn off any transformation, you just have to control it instinctively, you'll figure it."

"Okay." As the threat was gone for the moment he continued to the abandoned house to help iza, he entered and saw the bed he was before he was transported to the demon realm. Iza was laying in that same bed.

Yuko got to her side by the bed and thought: "Well, Well it seems tables have turned."
