Chapter 43 The Trouble

"The water is cold, Cathy. Get up." I sighed as I leaned against the tree, watching Cathy running her feet through the water of the lake, sitting on the bank. The sky was getting darker. Not because of the time but because of the foul weather. And she was in no hurry to leave this place. Instead, she was enjoying it all by herself.

I saw her shaking her head in disagreement. "It's not cold at all. But it feels wonderful. You should come here and do this." with a swift motion, she turned her head to me and called me to join using her four fingers pointing down, with the palm facing the beckoner. "Come on."

I wished I could refuse but it was something impossible since it was Cathy who was demanding me to witness the wonder she had been witnessing all the time. Unable to oppose, I walked over and sat beside her on the slope. Slowly and in much hesitancy, I settled my feet down into the water. Dang, so cold. Shivers started shuddering me. "And you said it's not cold."
