Chapter 28 Habit
Lee dragged me inside his room and locked the door. A while ago, his words were seriously heart-fluttering. My heartbeat was still so fast that took me into a world of fascination. That was why I didn't realize exactly what the hell had happened and what he was doing.
"Listen, Cathy." His voice immigrated my nerve system, chirping in the sweetest sound.
I exhorted myself to focus, forgetting my inner thoughts. But they didn't stop, instead, they got violent as he continued. "I don't like seeing you with Jacob together."
"Why?" I asked while playing with the nails of my fingers. I was nervous though I didn't have any notion of why I was.
"I don't know. But I hate it. I despise it." Rage filled his eyes. "Why were you two all alone in that room earlier?" He asked, looking down at my face.
"We were just talking." I had been working from childhood under managers, owners and more people. But none of them was as dominant like him.
