Chapter 13

Logan was trying to keep himself in check, but his anger was starting to surface. According to what he read about werewolves, they are said to have anger issues and some would lash out at the slightest misunderstanding, now, he was starting to understand why.

"Look, I don't even know her name, why are you doing this?" Logan asked with gritted teeth.

"Your presence here today irritated me, I don't like you." Jack replied.

Logan's hands were shaking from trying to contain his anger, his blood started pumping at a faster rate compared to normal and his body temperature soared.

Even while standing there, he could feel a slight pain in his hands, looking at it, he realized his fingernails had started turning to claws.

Growl…

He growled quietly, but Castiel who was beside him heard it clearly. He could also feel the heat coming from Logan's body.

Castiel was a little worried about his friend, and just when he was about to ask if he was alright, Jack pounced on Logan.

Jack was fast, and with a few steps, he was in front of Logan. Before anyone could even say anything, he threw a punch at Logan.

The outcome was completely different from what everybody expected.

Logan raised a single hand in front of him and blocked Jack's punch with his palm. Since it was dark, no one noticed his currently protruding nails. He was about to attack when he saw a familiar figure on the side.

'Oh no.' His heart sank and he shoved Jack to the side.

The strength he used wasn't minimal, so his simple push actually sent Jack flying toward one of his 'boys'.

The figure Logan saw belonged to Daphne. She had been absent for a while now, so he felt a little safe in the school. He never would've thought that she would come tonight of all night.

"Logan, what's wrong?" Castiel finally got the chance to ask.

Logan was about to run, but he grabbed him by the arm.

"My God! You're heating up. You need to cool down." Castiel was frightened when he felt the temperature of Logan.

When he hadn't touched him, he didn't think it would be this high.

Logan wanted nothing more than to run away from this place because he felt endangered by Daphne's arrival.

Castiel took him to the boy's locker room in the school and brought out a towel, soaking it in water, trying to cool Logan down.

Logan took the towel from him before pushing him aside, "Leave."

"What do you mean by leave?" Castiel couldn't naturally leave his friend behind. Especially in this condition.

"Cass, I'll be fine, you can go." Logan tried to contain his anger, praying not to transform right here and now.

"You're clearly not alright, and you expect me to leave just because you tell me to? Not happening pal." Castiel refused fervently.

Castiel walked closer to Logan, trying to inspect him.

"Leave!" Logan's voice was already croaked.

His teeth had started to transform into fangs, his face was starting to become slightly hairy.

"You…" Castiel placed his hand on Logan's shoulder, but he felt a powerful grip holding his hand and sending him flying.

Bang!

His figure crashed into one of the lockers before falling to the ground.

"Leave, I don't want to hurt you." Logan's croaked voice came from the other side of the locker room.

After he sent Castiel flying, he tried to create a distance between them.

Castiel on the other hand was trying to comprehend what just happened. Logan just threw him like an empty backpack with just one hand. From how it looked, he was certain that Logan didn't even put in any effort.

His mind was racing since this wasn't something possible for a human. Even if it was, not from the position Logan was in when he did it.

"I'll take your friend's advice if I were you."

Castiel was still contemplating about the matter when he heard a female voice from behind him.

He turned around only to see Daphne.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I'm here to help." Daphne's reply was nonchalant.

"Help with what?" Castiel was in a state of confusion.

"Leave! Don't come close to me." Logan's croaked voice came from the other side of the locker room once again.

He perceived Daphne when she came into the locker room, so he knew she was here. He also heard her telling Castiel that she wanted to help.

To him, that 'help' she wanted to give was no different than trying to kill him.

"I'm amazed you're still sane. Looks like the fear of hurting your friend is at least managing to keep your emotions in check, but for how long, I wonder." Daphne said with a little chuckle.

"What are you talking about?" Castiel asked, still not understanding what was going on.

Growl…

He heard the growl once again, and even though he wanted to deny it, he knew it came from the side Logan was at. It's clearly the sound made by wolves and dogs when irritated, why would Logan make such sounds?

Logan's figure came rushing out, and without even pausing, he tried to attack Daphne.

This was his best choice for now. Trying to escape would only mean that Daphne would try to hunt him down, so why not take her out now that he had the chance.

"You're overestimating yourself. In your current state, you're not a threat to me." Daphne laughed.

After laughing, Castiel saw the most shocking scene of his life. The same Logan who sent him flying with a single throw was sent flying with an outstretched palm.

Daphne's palm connected with Logan's onrushing figure and sent him crashing into the lockers. The impact of his fall was louder and heavier than that of Castiel.

"What the hell?" Castiel was taken aback.

If he compared sizes, then Daphne was smaller than Logan. Yet, she managed to send him flying with a palm.

'What is the world turning to?'

"Don't struggle, I'm honestly here to help." Daphne said to Logan who rushed towards her and was looking at her menacingly.
