177 Their Reunion

Mu Yue went to the house. The house looks the same and was well maintained. She knocked on the door but no one answered. Her father did say that Xiao Yan should be inside. She then noticed that the spiritual energy nearby flows towards the house. She concluded that Xiao Yan should be in her midst of cultivation.

The door was not locked and so she just opened it and entered. She would like to call for Xiao Yan but she was afraid to disturb her so she just followed the flow of spiritual energy. Unsurprisingly, it was headed towards their bedroom.

She entered their bedroom and saw Xiao Yan cultivating. She decided to just wait for her. It was already near lunchtime and she thought that Xiao Yan would stop soon to eat something

Lunchtime passed by and it was already close to dinner time. Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivators can survive for a long time without needing to eat or drink but the two of them already made it a habit. Anyway, eating food that contains spiritual energy helps them so it wasn't a bothersome thing to do.

Mu Yue got bored waiting. She decided to surprise Xiao Yan so she went near till her face was close to Xiao Yan's. She looked forward to how she would react. Perhaps she might say that she was hallucinating?

Xiao Yan's lips curled into a smirk. Mu Yue saw this and also felt that the flow of spiritual energy stopped. Before she can react, Xiao Yan pounced forward and did a quick kiss to Mu Yue's lips while also hugging her firmly.

Xiao Yan then spoke, "I've been waiting for you to announce your presence. I thought you would've made the first move like hugging me. I did not know that you would have more patience than me."

"I was afraid that I might disturb you and cause complications to your cultivation. Anyway, I am back. I kept my promise. I plan on going back within a year but got delayed by almost two months." Mu Yue replied.

"Mhm, welcome back. I missed you very much! Where did you go during this past year?"

"You know that I am not a human right?"

"Your physical body might not be one but you are more humane than some other humans."

"Ah? Oh... maybe not anymore..." Her trials consisted of her having to kill. She also remembered that orphanage where she grew up. Honestly, she wants to go back and kill those caretakers. Not all of them though but at least those that caused her and her grandma a lot of hardship. Most of them just kept quiet and let it happen but if she killed them, the kids in the orphanage would have no one to rely on.

"I will still be with you no matter if you are humane or not. I even think that I am worse than you."

"You definitely are."

"Oh? You want to experience it?"

"During the year I was gone, I was brought back to my race. I also met my mom who would like to meet you. I want you to tag along with me the next time I go back."

Xiao Yan widened her eyes, "Already meeting the parent? Wait, you have to leave again? when?"

"In one year but it could extend up to two years. I also would like to spend more time here but I have a guardian accompanying me. He is responsible for protecting as well as bringing me back. Besides, I'm gonna bring you with me!"

"Hmm... I was expected to go back once I reached the Core Formation Stage to inherit something. Also, I have multiple people following me..."

"Can't you do something about it? My mom wants to meet you since umm... she does not fully approve of our relationship."

"Please?"

"Kukkk..."

Xiao Yan sighed as she agreed. Well it was a request of Mu Yue's and it was as simple as meeting her parent.

"I'm definitely going to get scolded once I go back home...." Xiao Yan murmured.

"Since you will likely go back after coming with me, then I should also come with you to meet your parents."

"W-what! That's..."

"Will it be a problem?"

"N-not really. I get to introduce you to my parents! Now I am more willing to do this!"

They spent some more time chatting as well as planning for the future. Then the principal arrived with Wang Shi which also made the two girls realized that they have yet to eat.
