20 Chapter - 20{New Arc}

You must have heard people say -

'High school is the best part of my life. '

'HIgh school life is all sunshine and roses. '

Now that I have successfully graduated from Elverson, I finally understand why everyone says that… It's not just a simple quote as it seems… It's... hmm... It's an emotion… yeah, that's the best way of putting it.

I remember the time when there was a cutthroat competition among the same grade at the sports festival or the time when I and my friends pulled night-outs to not fail Exams... We barely cleared them that time, and how can I forget that? Love... My love story didn't end well though.

There's no doubt about it, I will be reminiscing about the time I spent here for the rest of my life… I don't want to take too long of your time… whoever is reading it. But, if you are uncertain about how your high school life will be. Let me as your senior assure you, It will be great!

Said the note on Atticus' desk in the apartment given to him by Elverson high school.

'Looks like they have a tradition of graduates leaving notes for sophomores.' thought Atticus as he crumbled the note and threw it in the dustbin at his new apartment.

'This apartment is as big as my previous one, and I don't even have to share it… The Elverson high school lived up to its name in accommodation I guess.'

'But what surprised me was, there were multiple ways of getting admitted in here' thought Atticus.

[What's so surprising? It's natural for top high schools to admit talented students.]

'Yeah, but I thought they only admitted through entrance exams…'

[If they did that then It will just be a high school for nerds.]

'Hmm, you're right about that.'

[Anyways, what're your plans for Serena?]

'About that, Why haven't you given me a mission yet?' thought Atticus frowning as he started setting up his wardrobe.

[A mission has been assigned to the host]

[Target : Serena Elverson

Description: Make Serena Elverson fall in love with you.

Attitude: True Friend.

Rewards: None]

Looking at the mission screen in front of him Atticus' eyebrows arched as he asked

'None!? Why none?'

[Well… It's because of my help that you are here in this High school so You gotta pay me back somehow so, no rewards.]

[Also, I won't be helping you in figuring out how to make Serena fall in love with you either.]

'*Tch* well… wouldn't have gotten here without your help.'

*Sigh*

'The Attitude is of a 'True Friend' this time… At least I don't have to be a timid scaredy cat this time' thought Atticus.

'Tell me what kind of person Serena is, Luna.'

[No.]

'*Huh* Why? You told me about Lily last time didn't you?'

[I always do what's best for you. So don't argue]

'You sound like Asian parents…'

[Whatever, You should prepare yourself for the entrance ceremony it's in 30 minutes.]

'Oh yeah, they did tell us to drop our stuff, dress up, and immediately head towards the auditorium.'

After replying to Luna Atticus changed into his high school uniform. The uniform was rather unique and different from other high school uniforms. It consisted of a noble-looking white shirt, black pants, and a black jacket for winter.

Atticus wore the uniform and looked into his mirror.

'0.3 percent made a difference.' he thought after which he smiled.

'With such good looks and charm at level 3 that girl is gonna be hooked the moment she looks at me.' he thought with a smirk.

[What do you mean?]

Atticus frowned at this sudden interruption of Luna and thought 'What 'What do you mean?' '

[Why do you think that she is going to get hooked because of charm?]

'Doesn't charm enhances my looks towards targets?'

[No.]

Hearing this Atticus' eyebrows arched as he asked 'What do it do then?'

[Charm is like an enhancer… Yeah.]

'Explain it with an example and Why didn't you tell me this before?' asked Atticus a little irritated

[Well take it like this… that time when you made coffee for Lily her affection for you increased by 11% right?]

'Yes '

[Without Charm it wouldn't have increased that much.]

'Ohh~ I get it now.' thought Atticus as he nodded a few times.

[As for why I didn't tell you it's because you never asked.]

'Hmm…'

'Well the past is history… if Charm works like what you have told me it means that I'll need to figure out a way of gaining Serena's affection first before reaping any additional rewards'

Atticus walked out of his apartment, closed his door, and went inside the lift.

"Never In my life had I ever thought that one day I'll have to pull the strings behind to let an Elverson in our school!" said a man with perfectly groomed white hair, a trimmed white beard, black eyes, and a robust physique.

In front of the man stood a girl, she had long silver hair slightly disheveled behind her back, baby blue eyes, implausibly artistic eyebrows, plump blood-red lips, a sharp nose, and a petite body.

The girl's eyes were looking down in submission, fists clenched as she bit her lips.

"No one on earth believes that you are the little sister of Edward Elverson!!"

"Do You have any shame or not? Oh wait, You don't if you did you would have at least tried to improve your horrible scores."

The girl's fist kept getting tighter and tighter with every word that came out of the man's mouth.

"I think it's enough Honey. She will understand from now on" said a woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and white skin.

"No Olivia, you are always taking her side. And because of that she is getting so spoiled."

After a long silence, the man sighed and said

"There's no other choice left since you have forever disappointed me as a father. I have decided that if you fail one more time I shall marry you off to another family." said the man.

"NO! Never!" screamed the girl. After which she ran up to her room with tears in her eyes.
