Episode 6 - Dangerous

The agents were sneaking in a wall, their objective was right there, but full of guards, they prepared for a fight but Paris had a different plan.

Paris: Guys, maybe we can do this without bloodshed.

Nana: I'm open to ideas.

Delph: As long as I enter, it doesn't really matter.

Lara: Well, if they agree, I'm in.

Paris: So, Delph, I'll need your virtual reality powers.

5 minutes later Paris came to the guards, wearing a pizza delivery uniform and with a huge package. The big and bulky guards that were using leather jackets, that mostly looked like bikers, looked at him, they were not surprised, but were disappointed.

Guard 1: What the fuck...

Guard 2: All right, who asked Pizza this time?

A skinny guard came from the back, his eyes were shining like a kid looking at ice cream. The first guard, that looked like their leader, gave a light slap on his coworker's thin nape.

Guard 1: Didn't we tell everyone to stop asking for food on duty?

Guard 3: Come on, it's like 2 in the morning, the boss doesn't care for what we do as long as we still protect this place. Besides, I asked for a big one since I knew my buddies were probably hungry.

Guard 2: Whoa! Free Pizza? I'm in!

Guard 3: Bacon mixed with cheese and chicken, right?

Paris looked back and Delph leaned forward a bit, without being spotted, and wiggled his fingers.

Paris: Yep! And since you were so kind to remember our humble company at this hour of the night, the chef put free extra bacon and cheese.

The other guards, hearing about this, gathered around, eating the fake pizza while Delph quickly sneaked in the garage.

Lara: You know, Nana.

Nana: Yes?

Lara: I feel kind of useless now...

Nana gently placed her hand on her companion's shoulder to console her.

Inside the garage, Delph found somewhere to hide and started to remember the moment they planned this step.

Delph: Luiz, I can enter the place and deactivate the car's anti-theft alarm with just one touch, but how will we take them from there?

Luiz looked at Lara.

Lara: Oh! That's where I come in!

Delph: How?

Lara: Well, I have a secret power that you don't know about it...

Paris: Oh, what kind of secret power?

Lara waved her hand and two little orbs of light appeared.

Lara: One can make things grow and the other can shrink.

Paris: So that's how you make your spears simply appear?

Lara: Yeah, I throw them in a very small size everywhere in the battlefield and then I just have to make the grow orbs touch them.

Paris: And this creates the feeling that they "appear" from nowhere!

Lara was smiling, she was a very shy girl, so this type of attention Paris was giving was making her blush. While both were there laughing, Delph was there, kind of sad, as he thought that his best friend always told him everything.

Delph: Why did you never tell me that?

Lara stopped, speechless, and looked at him.

Lara: I hid this secret from everyone...

Delph: So how Luiz knew that?

Luiz: Don't bring me into your shit, but no, Delph, she didn't tell me.

Delph: So how did you...

Luiz: I have been an agent since I was 14, I kill super terrorists from Saisem for living since before you even completed your training to become one.

Lara: Delph, please calm down. I kept this as a secret because this type of power can be exploited.

Delph: What do you mean?

Lara: I mean that everyone envied my position! Also, the fact that we were close could be used as means to get information about me.

Delph understood what she meant and stood silent.

Leo and Nana looked at each other, feeling the awkwardness of the moment while Paris clapped his hand, only one time, to break the ice.

Paris: Sooooo, can we move on?

Lara: I will give you, Delph, a little bag full of these small orbs. After you deactivate the security, you will shrink the cars and put them in your pockets.

Delph: And after?

Paris: You get the hell out of there.

Nana: I don't want to be annoying or anything, but Delph is required to steal those cars, Paris alone can make a good distraction and Lara is clearly going in case mister virtual reality boy messes up and loses the orbs, so with that said, why must I go with them?

Luiz: You are going to help them in case something goes wrong and a fight might be required.

Nana: Are you sure that I'll be of help?

Nana was clearly still feeling bad because of that fatality with G.

Luiz: What are you talking about? You are one of the strongest girls I ever met.

Nana didn't see that coming, she raised her head in confusion and before she could say anything, Luiz quickly changed the subject.

Luiz: You think you can do it, Delph?

Delph: Yes, I got this! I could do everything with my eyes closed.

Luiz: Remember, those will be escape cars, so try to find fast ones.

Delph: I can hack into any technology, find the fastest cars won't be a problem at all.

Back to the present, at the garage, Delph was looking around, his glasses were connected to his powers so he could scan everything around, trying to find the best specs.

Nana was just there waiting outside the lot, leaning against the big stone wall, just waiting for Paris and Delph to come back.

Lara, they went across the street to buy a drink, came back and offered Nana a soda can, which she accepted.

Lara: So, it's cold, right?

Nana: I'm still not used to Brazil's weather, but I heard it's better from the one in Africa's IBI. Hot as fuck in the day, and chilling at night.

Nana took a quick drink and Lara leaned at her side.

Nana: Delph looked very upset after that scene in the office.

Lara: Delphy will get over it, I know him, he is stronger than he looks.

Nana: You like him?

Lara blushed a little.

Nana: No need to answer that. I thought you two were that type of couple that don't admit their crush.

Lara: Why did you think that?

Her voice was lower, she was kind of uncomfortable with that conversation, but still wanted to talk.

Nana: You defected Saisem with him.

Lara: We are just friends...

Nana: I didn't ask that.

Lara: Girls secret?

Nana: Girls secret.

Lara: I don't really know, sometimes I think I do, sometimes I think I don't. If I like him that way, I want to be sure that I honestly do, not just because we are friends for a long time.

Nana: And why is loving a friend a bad thing?

Lara: I don't know anything, I just don't know anymore...

Nana: You are not good with feelings stuff, right?

Lara: I never needed to be. I was a normal girl, I had powers, but I decided to follow a normal life. Until the world cup...

Nana didn't say anything, just stood there, listening.

Lara: After Saisem took over, they demanded that every super human joined their army and then I became a warrior... I was always a warrior, fighting and training, heck, I didn't even have time to have friends... As most of my friends died... No... They were murdered...

Nana: Murdered?

Lara: Saisem doesn't accept failure. They can be flexible with high ranking people, but when you are a student, failure means death. Me and Delph survived the rigid Saisem academy and became super terrorists assigned to Dennis' personal army.

Lara passed one hand on her eye, gently cleaning a tear. Nana gave her a warm hug, Lara was shocked as she wasn't expecting that, but gladly accepted. After that, Nana released the girl and took a drink again while Lara sniffed a little.

Lara: So, can I ask you something?

Nana: Yes?

Lara: The first sight I had when I got in the team's room, was you and Luiz beating the crap out of each other.

Nana: Oh, that.

Lara: Aren't you two friends?

Nana: No, not at all.

Lara: But why? While he looks a bit reserved, he tries to be reliable.

Nana: I just don't trust him, I feel like he hides something. Someone that hides anything from their own teammates is always a danger in my book.

Lara: I see... I think he likes you.

Nana narrowed her eyes and looked at her, clearly confused.

Nana: Why would you think that?

Lara: Well, every time he refers to you, I can feel anger on his voice.

Nana: I know you were kind of tortured in the academy, but this is the exact opposite of liking someone.

Lara: Use your head, dragon, he always refers to everyone in a calm and big brotherly voice, he only changes his tone with you.

Nana: But if his tone of voice is anger, this is still the opposite of liking, not that I care.

Lara: But why were you two fighting?

Nana: I don't like him, I appreciate his help and strategies, but, nevertheless, I still dislike him. I'd rather kiss Paris than stay on the same team as him.

Paris: Thank god that I brought my mint pills with me.

Nana and Lara looked at Paris that just exited the lot.

Lara: How did it go?

Paris: They ate the whole fake pizza and even gave me a tip.

Nana: What about Delph?

Paris: He told us he knows how to sneak out from there.

Lara: I just hope he doesn't try to shrink himself.

Nana: Why?

Lara: I never used my power on living things, I don't know how it would react.

Paris: He will be fine, chill.

While they were talking, a man on a bicycle entered the lot.

Guard 1: This Pizza was the best I ever ate.

Guard 2: Strange... Even if we all ate, I still feel empty...

Guard 3: Good try, I won't buy more pizza, at least not today.

The guy in the bicycle appeared and the guards pointed their guns at him. He had a pizza delivery uniform and raised his hands in fear.

Guard 1: Didn't we pay you already?

Pizza Guy: What? No, I got here now, we had a problem in the car and asked me to go with a bicycle, that's why I took so long.

The guards behind them looked at each other and they all quickly understood what just happened. Delph, that was just shrinking the last car, heard the commotion outside and quickly found somewhere to hide.

Meanwhile in the other car lot on the other side of the city.

Luiz: You guys thought I was gay...?

Leo: Yeah...

Luiz: I'm not and, even If I was, it wouldn't matter, I am married to my job. Things like attraction and relationships are the last thing I can worry about.

Leo: Yeah, but we didn't know that.

Luiz was a bit annoyed by his teammates' assumptions, but he quickly turned around and calmed down. He passed his hand on his hair and took a deep breath.

Luiz: Keep it cool, Luiz, the mission comes first.

Leo: I'm sorry.

Luiz: It's fine, now, your weapons have deadly and stun ammo, right?

Leo: Yeah.

Luiz: So, you see those Night Sentinels?

Leo gave a quick look and saw the Night Sentinels, like Dragons, they were not human, but bird creatures that had human form.

Luiz: If I personally try to fight them they will make a ruckus and alarm the whole place, that's why I need you to stun them.

Leo: I got it.

Leo rolled to the other wall and summoned stun guns above the Sentinel guards.

Dragons were humanoid creatures with lizards like horns, wings and tail, and their characteristic golden eyes, but still mostly human looking. Any dragon that didn't have golden eyes was a half blood, child of a dragon and a human.

Like Dragons, Sentinels had a human form with bird-like wings and their hand and foot fingers were always sharp and their eyes were always blue, any Sentinel that didn't have blue eyes was a half blood.

Normally, creatures could have children with Humans, but they could not have children with other creatures.

Getting back to our story, the Sentinels were just there reading the news, clearly bored, and then BANG! Leo stunned them and Luiz quickly ran and pushed their bodies.

Leo: What now?

Luiz raised his arms and his hands became gigantic. His blue gloves details could be seen much better as they had blue abstract shapes in it as his fingers were sharp as blades.

Leo: I didn't know you have elastic powers.

Luiz: I don't.

Leo touched Luiz' huge hand, but passed through it and touched on the small hand deep inside it.

Luiz: The big size of my hands is just an illusion.

Leo: But, if it's an illusion, how you will use it.

Luiz: I can solidify this illusion into reality for combat.

Leo touched his giant hand again and it was hard as steel.

Leo: I watched some videos of you fighting and you don't use this technique. You punch with your hands in normal size.

Luiz: That's because, most of the time, I fight to knockout my enemies, not to kill them. One punch or slash of my hands in this state and I can kill someone.

Luiz approached the two garage gates in front of them, just close enough together to place one hand under each of them. Then, seemingly without any effort, he pulled them up until just over his head.

Leo: I thought you said trucks.

Luiz: They are trucks.

Luiz made his hands get back to normal.

Leo: No, they are Super-Liner trucks.

Luiz: They will do, two cars can fit in each cargo hold. I have been following these big guys for days now.

Leo: So, you were planning all this...

Luiz: One thing you must know about me, I always have a plan and a backup plan. I never act without those two things. Now choose one.

Leo: I'll have the red one!

Luiz: Enter it and wait for me.

Leo: Where are you going?

Luiz: I'll open the gate.

Leo: But there is a Sentinel there.

Luiz looked back at Leo and made an annoyed expression.

Leo: Oh, right, do what you have to do.

Luiz went to the gate and quickly returned, then both boys, with the help of a device Delph gave them to hack vehicles, successfully left the car lot.

Leo: Well, this was easy, I hope the others are doing fine.

Luiz: I have a fucking bad feeling...

Back at the other car lot, Paris, Nana and Lara were locked outside as the whole place was closed and in high alert.

Paris: Oh, what happened?

Lara: Did they find Delphy?!

Nana slapped Lara's face.

Nana: Calm down woman! We need to stop and think!

While they were there arguing, the guards opened the garage, looking for intruders and noticed that four cars simply disappeared. Delph that was hiding in front of pillar was nervous as fuck, with all cars on his pockets he realized he didn't had choice but to fight.

He rolled in the ground, waved his hand and a technologic illusion sword instantly cut the guard in half. He stood up and noticed the other guard behind him in shock.

Delph looked at the guard that was ready to shoot, raised his arm, covering the lower part of his face with his hand and with an aggressive expression. A wall that looked like a computer barrier appeared behind him and 6 technologic swords on his sides, ready to strike.
