Chapter 9 : Zeref Dragneel

" Cath where Evans? " ask Lucifer.

" He in the line there. " point Catherine.

He slowly walk to Evans and told him what to order.

" Guys, did you hear that this semester there is a new genius? " 

" Genius? that guy in the Support department? Yeah we already knew that "

" Nooo, I mean first year student "

" Really? what that genius do to take the tittle?  "

" I heard that he talk about Life and Death law during the presentation "

" Life and Death law!! Isn't that the taboo.."

" Yeah, it's so creepy. "

" He is not genius but psycho "

" Yeah..so scary..look I have a goosebumps already."

" Forgive us Ankhseram "

Evans and Lucifer walk to their table after they paid their food. Lucifer wonder and confuse when he hear the passing-by students talk. They slowly walk to Catherine and sit down at the table.

" Hey, who are they talking about? " ask Lucifer curiously.

" Who? " answer Catherine confuse.

" Arhhh..are you asking the rumor that student talk just now? " Evans exclaim.

" What rumor? " ask Catherine.

" You already knew this rumor Cath just this idiot that keep himself in his sacred place...well that rumor, the rumor there is a first year student whom study the connection about Life, Death and the Magic. " jeer Evans .

" Arhh, that rumors. " Catherine realise what are they talking about.

" Just tell me." Lucifer meaningfully glare towards Evans.

" Don't glare to me like that, hum..there are rumour spread around said that a student during open presentation project, he talk about life and death.... and the professor so angry about it..what his name again? Zella..Zera.." said Evans while slurping his noodle.

" Zeref Dragneel, an orphan...there are also some people said that his parents killed by a dragon. " Catherine answer.

When Lucifer heard the name, he were so shock and make him stupefy for a moment. 

" Can you repeat his name. " ask Lucifer.

" Zeref Dragneel, why? Did you knew him? "

' Of course, I knew whom he is... he is the main antagonist of this world. He was also considered one of the most evil Wizards because he possessed incredibly deadly and destructive Magic Power; for such reasons he was also known by the epithet of [ The Black Wizard ] ' thought Lucifer.

" Noo, I think I have heard his name somewhere. Let's eat. " denied Lucifer.

' So, I am really in Fairy Tail world but I didn't even knew that Zeref attend academy. So there's only one possible answer, I am in childhood period where before the plot begin. But Cath say, he do not have brother so who is  Natsu Dragneel? Is he adopt? but in the manga it seems like their age gap not so large..humm..' thought Lucifer.

" Hey, Luc...look at that table" point Evans.

He turned his head and look at the table Evans point. He saw a 5 years old boy whom eating his meal alone. He wore a dark robe and have a white shawl hanging at his shoulder.

" Why? Who is he? " ask Lucifer inquiry.

" He is that kid, Zeref Dragneel. " answer Evans.

He turn his eyes back toward Zeref and look at him with interest. 

' So, I am really at childhood period...the beginning before the plot began..The Pre-Zero arc '

" Luc, are you have interest with that boy? " ask Catherine gleefully.

" What! Really? Is it true Luc. " exclaimed Evans loudly.

Lucifer hurriedly stuff his food towards Evan's mouth to shut the mouth from making unnecessary rumor and rotten things.

" Nope, I am just looking at him. Why? "

" Really? Why I feel that you're lying right now... I knew that eyes... the eyes when you look at him are same like when you interest with your magic studies. " ask Catherine suspiciously.

" Yes, really I just look at him...nothing hidden or interest in between..why? I can't look at people anymore? " answer Lucifer

" Well if another people, I believe they are only look at but if you...." Evans whispered.

" What?!" Lucifer glare at Evan.

" ...Nothing.." Evan avert his eyes and continues to eat.

"...alright class, please send your work at my office by today at 5 o'clock...class dismiss.." the teacher pack her things and walk out from the classroom.

" Hey, who are in your group "

" I think I will choose some from attack and front department.."

" I can't wait for the expedition "

The class were buzzing with excitement from the news their teacher bring during the class while ago, where they will take part an expedition where they need to find four people in one group.

' Zeref, he only 5 years old now..so the event maybe start 10 years later so that's mean I already strong enough before the plot began...I also can create my own guild...Should I befriend with Zeref..'

Evans walk towards Lucifer's desk and put his hand at Lucifer's face and shake her face gently.

" You have a call from reality...please embark from your dreamland and come back to the reality, hey dude wake up already. " he continuously shake Lucifer's face.

" Hey, Evans look at his face " said Catherine suddenly.

" ergh,...well it seems you already came back from a long daze..." he keep his hand from Lucifer's face and awkwardly smile after he see that Lucifer glare at him fiercely.

" Luc, what are you daze off for? " ask Catherine.

" I am thinking our fourth member in the expedition " cover Lucifer.

" Yeah, thats right we need a fourth member in this expedition...whom our fourth member? " ask Evan.

" Zeref Dragneel. " said Lucifer calmly.

' Where the hell is him? If what Cath give me true, it seems his class around here. ' he walk slowly towards the bench and sit down.

"  Go away you freak! " suddenly he heard an argument behind him and turn his to take a look.

" Freak! Are not allowed here, just go away! " 

" No...I am just wanna to go there " point the black clothes boy.

" Liar! you must wanna study us right with your Life and Death theory.." scold them to the boy.

" Humph, a freak dare to come here. " scoff the gang.

" Let's beat him guys " suggest one of the boy.

" Yeah, let's do it. "

" Whom are you want to beat? " suddenly they heard a voice from their behind and make them look terrified.

" No..no..no one " gulp the leader.

" Really? But I heard something beat up just now. " said Lucifer.

" You just heard it wrong...we said greet him..yeah we will greet him. " the leader awkwardly answer.

" So you want to say that I have a malfunctions in my hearing " Lucifer said lightly.

" Ah..ha..ha....RUN!! " they hurriedly run from the scene.

He look at them and slowly cast a spell, [ Slip ]. The group suddenly slip and fall hard from the inertia.

" Thank you " said the black clothes boy.

" Its nothing, I am Lucifer Heartfilia, third year ....what yours name. " smile Lucifer.

" I..I am Zeref Dragneel, first year. " timidly Zeref answer.

" Well nice to meet you, I have some offer to you. " He slightly notice the appearance of the boy,  a short black hair, clean pale skin, big dark eyes and abnormally sharp canines.

" What offer? " question Zeref.

" I would like to you join my expedition group. "

" Join expedition group..oh alright..WHAT expidition group " exclaim Zeref.

Lucifer look at the reaction Zeref gave to him and grin slightly.
