The Apocalypse

After a few hours of sleep, Lucifer wakes up with a yawn "Haaa that was a good nap" he says as he walks out of the room and sees Rose cultivating on the couch. Checking what time it was on his phone it was 9 pm meaning they had 3 hours before midnight.

Lucifer leaving Rose to cultivate goes to make some dinner for himself and Rose and after about 30 minutes she opens her eyes to the smell of food and gets up to find the source. 

Rose walks into the kitchen and Lucifer looks at her with a smile and says "Impressive you made it to the 5th level of Ki refinement it only 3 hours, now sit down and eat we only have 3 hours left before midnight and we will need all the energy we can get."

Rose decides to test Lucifer's knowledge a bit and says "You know vampires only drink blood right?" to which he responds with "Yes plebeian vampires do but you're a noble no? Of course, if you want some blood I don't mind if you drink mine." He says while smiling at her. 

Rose blushes hard and says "Yo-you do know what that would mean right?"

"Why don't you tell me what it would mean." 

"When a female vampire drinks the blood of a male they..." She stops seemingly too embarrassed to continue her sentence.

"They what?" Lucifer asks. 

"T-they are now the w-wife of the man they drunk blood from."

Lucifer smiles and says "Yes I knew about that it is why I offered you to drink my blood after all."

Seemingly annoyed that he knew but still made her say it she says "If you knew then why did you make me say it!!!"

"Because your reactions are so adorable." Lucifer walks towards Rose and grabs her by the waist pulling her close while grabbing her chin and making her look up at him. "Well, what will it be? My blood is all yours."

Rose trying her best not to look him in the eyes says in a soft voice "I'm not ready yet..." 

Lucifer smiles "That's alright" he then plants a kiss on her forehead and lets her go before going back to eat his food.

After standing there for a few seconds Rose manages to compose herself and then sits down next to him to eat as well. 

"So are you like this with every girl?" she asks.

"Depends on the girl, it's really hard to get my attention." He says while thinking to himself "Especially since Lilith was my lover."

"So you admit that there are others?"

Lucifer looks at her and says "Are you jealous?"

"Hmph in your dreams I'm just curious as to who else managed to get your attention if it's so hard." 

"You'll see eventually but for now finish eating and come to the living room so I can explain what will happen once midnight arrives."

Lucifer goes into the living room and about 10 minutes later Rose does as well, they both sit on the couch and Lucifer starts to explain what is going to happen.

"Alright so once midnight comes like I said the Ki will become 100 times as dense, now this is a good thing because that means we can become WAY stronger but it is also a bad thing because those who can not handle the increase in Ki will die and there is also I chance for them to mutate and become monsters. These monsters are in simple terms zombies but as for what they really are is undead"

"You might be wondering what is the difference and well there is quite a big one, zombies are just mindless beasts who crave flesh. Undead however are way smarter they are still somewhat mindless but once they start to kill other things like the humans who don't become undead they will get stronger/smarter and all it takes for them to get stronger is to consume anything alive, whether it's human or an animal or even other undead."

"On top of the undead, you will also have to worry about other people, It's best that you do not trust anyone other than me of course, and your family." 

"Why should I not trust anyone?" She asks. "Well I thought it was obvious but it's the apocalypse and once people realize that the police and army can't do anything they will start to do whatever they want. Meaning stuff like murder, rape, robbery, etc... All of the rules that the world has made won't matter anymore."

"You're right that should have been obvious well is there anything else I should know?" She asks.

"Well there is a TON of stuff but right now none of that matters." He says as he looks down at his phone to see how much time is left, "We only have 15 minutes left Rose so you should prepare yourself." Lucifer says as he sits down turns on the TV and looks for the New Year's channel.

After finding it they sit there and watch it in silence and wait for the countdown. 

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we are only 1 minute away from New Year's Eve here in Times Square is everyone ready for the countdown!!!" Threw the TV everyone was cheering and having fun. 

Rose looks over and says "This is almost sick if what you say is true all those people down there will die."

"They are only a drop of what's about to come, like I said Rose prepare yourself it won't be pretty" He states.

On the tv, the countdown has started 

"10...9....8...7...6..."

"1"

"HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!!!!!"

Rose looks over at Lucifer "Why is nothin'-" All of a sudden a massive boom is heard all across the world and the power goes out.

"WHAT WAS THAT LUCIFER!!!" Rose yells 

"Oh I forgot to mention because it's been so long I forgot but the world will also increase in size as well because of the increase in Ki, since it's getting bigger the tectonic plates are beginning to shift so expect earthquakes of insane proportion," he says.

The sound of the earth quaking all over the world can be heard, millions of people have already died just from the earthquakes alone... and that's when it happened as well the people who could not handle the increase in Ki started to either die or turn into undead.

Lucifer looks over at Rose "Alright this is where things get serious Rose I've taught you what you needed to know for now you should go and find your family."

"What about you?" She asks.

"I'm going to get the resources we need to cultivate faster don't worry about me there is no one as strong as me at the moment," Lucifer says. 

"Now get going I'll come find you when I have everything we need alright?"

"Alright, good luck and Lucifer."

"Yeah?" He asks as she walks up to him and gives him a passionate kiss on the lips 

"What was that for?" He asks with a smile. "That was a thank you for everything you have done so far without you I would not be able to think straight when the apocalypse began."

After that she takes off in a flash to find her family and help them, meanwhile, Lucifer heads down to the basement.

"Let's see if this is the correct house or not." He says as he punches a hole into the concrete floor revealing a cave under the house.

Lucifer smiles and thinks to himself "I have to hurry I don't have long before this cave collapses from the earthquakes as well" he then jumps inside the hole.
