1 Prologue
A montage begins to play, showing the events as text scrolls flashed as the events play out.
2025- The start up company Orion Industrial unveils their dream sharing technology. Called A.N.N or Automated Neural Network, the technology is a arousing commercial success.
2031- Orion Industrial buys a major stake in Facebook and monopolizes all major VR technology under the A.N.N umbrella.
2034- The Government formalizes a defense contract with Orion Industrial allowing Soldiers to use A.N.N. in the field.
2038- Orion Industrial becomes largest corporation in the world, with over 90 percent of the world's population using some form of A.N.N technology. Dream Space sharing capacity reaches dangerous highs.
2039- First reported death from Dream sharing overloading. Orion Industrial increases neural link share windows and forms the D.R.C, Dream Retrieval Corp, a private security company that sends agents to untether entangled minds that reach dangerous levels.
2042- First reported case of a Dreamer emerges, a non A.N.N tech user who can infiltrate dream shares. Orion Industrial denies such a thing as being plausible.
2044- A sixth confirmed Dreamer is documented, forcing Orion Industrial to testify before congress.
2048- Dreamers are found dead, forcing many to go into hiding or to hide their abilities. Orion Industrial becomes the fourth branch of the United States Government. A.N.N reaches 97% user capacity. D.R.C becomes officially recognized as a Military Branch.
2050- A.N.N networks are sabotaged and destroyed, killing hundreds and causing massive neurological damage to thousands of users. A terrorist cell calling themselves the Awakened claim the attacks. Orion Industrial increases neural network and launches investigation into the Awakened.
2052- Awakened claims seven more attacks. Pressures begin to mount on Orion to apprehend the terrorist cell or to ensure safer A.N.N. links.
2054- Orion, unable to stop the attacks, announces a new update to A.N.N. that would cause cognitive function to increase, thus making the dream share more stable, however, the shared dreamers will have to be linked and asleep for no less than 6 hours. The update is a rousing success. Awakened attacks lead to no fatalities.
2055- D.R.C. claims to have apprehended and killed the major cell of Awakened. All attacks cease from herein.
2057- Orion Industrial reports unbridled growth, as the dream sharing network reaches 98% capacity with 95% of the world population having an account. Dreamers are put on a terrorist watch list unless they register with Orion and the D.R.C.
