I Know Nothing

Aurora frowned immediately when she set

her eyes on Jake. She turned to Angel

shooting her a deadly look but Angel was

quick to avoid her intense glare.

Angel invited them to sit so they could have

dinner together. Jake sat on the chair

opposite Aurora facing her directly.

He kept staring at her. Aurora could feel his

gaze so she tried every way possible to

avoid looking at him.

Aurora please pass Jake the salad bowl.

Angel stated nicely. She hesitated a bit

before passing it to him without looking at

him. "Here you go". But unfortunately for her

Jake touched her hand which made her

heart skip a bit. She hesitated a bit before looking him the eye.

They kept staring at each other communicating with their eyes. They were

able to see the pain in each other's eyes.

Aurora turned immediately,she was scared

she might start crying.

"Baby what will you have?"... Maxwell asked

Aurora. "I will only have juice, I have lost my

appetite.

Hey but...."Don't try to convince me Angel you

are at fault here remember? Aurora cut in. "Ok fine but you gotta eat something.

I'm fine the juice will do...she answered slightly irritated. "Aurora I know this

question my sound a bit personal but I'm

curious to know and I seriously want to ask.

"Of course Maxwell you can ask me

anything after all you are like a brother to

me apart from we being friends.

Would you like to get married? Jake raised

his head from his plate and turned to

Maxwell with a questioning look.

Maxwell what kind of question is that? Of

course I would love to get married and to

Mark Wilson. He is one handsome guy and

an eligible bachelor.

O God did I just say that in front of Jake,the

conversation I had with Angel is still

lingering in my brain making me blurter

nonsense.

Angel squeat the water in her mouth

making her cough,wha...what did you just

say? she asked perplexed.

Aurora could feel Jake's intense gaze on

her. He twisted his hands in a fist and sat

there with gritted teeth,the veins on his forehead appeared he looked like he

would kill someone if he had the chance.

Maxwell felt sad for asking such a question

infront of his best friend. He wasn't

expecting Aurora to mention Jake's name

because of their fight,but for her to mention

the name of Jake's rival, that was too much

and pretty much disappointing.

Maxwell could feel Jake's anger and fury.

Excuse me" Jake excused himself. He left the table without looking at anyone. "I'm also off to bed,Aurora announced.

Aurora at least finish the Juice. "I'm full

Angel. Goodnight.... Aurora stormed out of the dining hall.

Jake barged in and took a sit. "Hey bro

where did you run off to? Maxwell asked concerned. I needed fresh air.

I'm sorry Jake,I shouldn't have asked her

such a question infront of you. I knew she

wouldn't mention your name but at least I

just wanted her to be like she is not ready

or something...I don't know but..

Or were you expecting her to mention your

name? No l wasn't, because I know she is

mad at me but for her to mention his name
