1 Chapter 1

Almost all the people living in Crocus knew about the small family of the criminal Akiyuki; even if a former convict wasn't a dead giveaway for their fame, the town's heartbreakers came from that very family.

"Morning, Dad," a bluenette greeted, walking down the stairs of their small, two-story house on top of a mountain. "Morning, had fun at your sleepover last night?" Akiyuki sipped on his cup of coffee. "Sleepover? what sleepover?" The girl with sea-green eyes asked, confusion clear in her tone, "The one with Minerva Sylvia." He looked up at her in suspicion. "Oh, right, it was great Thank God we reconnected through that sleepover." Sylvia smiled brightly. "Yes, they were sobbing after they had a couple of drinks." Yukino Ryu walked into the kitchen, remembering how the two women sobbed, hugging each other, and apologizing. "You went out again, did you?" Acnologia asked, although he already knew they snuck out last night since he heard glass shattering. "For the record, it was Sylvia's idea." Juvia Ryu walked, throwing her hands up. "Yeah, sure, throw me under the bus." Sylvia turned with a whisk in hand, batter dripping from it. "I don't remember you two complaining; in fact, you were instantly on board, especially you, Juvia," she pointed out at her two sisters. "Sylvia, don't mess up the kitchen," Akiyuki told her, not wanting to be the one cleaning up that pancake batter.

Minerva Roland and Sylvia Ryu had a fallout at graduation over something not many knew, but rumor had it that it was over a guy they both liked.

Reiki sighed, staring at the screen before him and rubbing his eyes. He'd been looking at reports since early this morning. "Hey, what's up?" A blonde placed a hand on the redhead's shoulder. "hey Nash," he said without looking up from the reports "Long night?" He grabbed a chair and took a seat before he felt someone hit the back of his head. "Do your own work, Nash, and stop asking him to do it for you." A ravenette appeared next to him, holding a magazine. "Is that the newest issue of Sorcerer Weekly?" A pinkette looked up, leaning over his desk. "Yeah, Sting wanted me to buy one on my way here." Rogue Kagero replied, "That pervert." Reiki said, "I'm not a pervert!" Sting Usui walked through the doors, scowling. "Yeah, sure, whatever floats your boat." Reiki replied, "Besides, there's supposed to be an article here." He opened it to a page called "The Truth About the Detective." Natsu read where a picture of Reiki had been pasted with writing next to it: "What?! Who wrote this?" Reiki snatched the magazine, trying to find the name of the person "Sylvia Ryu".

Minerva Roland looked back when she heard someone call her name, only to find her best friend waving at her. "Hey," she greeted, a smile present on her lips. "Hey," she replied with a smile. "So shopping for tonight's party?" Sylvia asked, "No, I was going to get the new issue of Sorcerer weekly." The ravenette replied, "I didn't know Rufus read this." The Ravenette raised a brow Minerva and Rufus had started dating back when they were in their final year of high school. "No, there's this must-read article in the magazine that people are dying to read." Minerva opened it to the page that her boyfriend Rufus told her to read while walking beside her best friend: "Oh, please tell me it's not Hoshino's newest shoot." Minerva chuckled. "No, it's that article you wrote on that famous detective." The bluenette leaned over, scanning the contents of the page. "Whatever," she shrugged it off. "By the way, do you want to come with me?" The ravenette gave her a confused look before noting the girl's work attire.

Minerva raised a brow. "Are you not going to the office?" She asked, wondering why in the world she was wearing her work clothes. "No, I'm just going to go grab a cup of coffee," Sylvia pointed at the coffee shop beside them. "Oh, yeah, sure." The two girls entered, chatting and laughing as if they were never apart.

"Morning Yukino" Kagura Mika greeted the white-haired beauty when she walked into the studio they both worked at "Good morning, Miss Mika." Yukino flashed her best friend a bright smile. "How are you?" she asked, returning her smile "Fine," the two women continued their conversation

"You're early," Erza Lee said, looking down at the watch. "Well, I thought to make it a habit to be early," Juvia replied, walking into the police station and placing her bag down on her desk.

She turned to look back at one of her closest friends. "Besides, crime never sleeps, does it?" Erza chuckled. "that is true." Juvia sat down in her chair, keeping the conversation with Erza going while finishing up her report of their latest case.
