45 Popcorn

Alexander and Sabrina just arrived home, as they were about to step out of the car, Sabrina suddenly got a call from her Uncle.

"Uncle? What's up?" she greeted.

"I just wanted to tell you that as soon as you feel okay already, we can start the shooting again. We already have a new male lead for the movie," Director Walker said.

"Oh really? Who is it?" Sabrina asked in excitement.

"That's a secret for now. Focus on recovering, you'll meet him once the shoot resumes."

Sabrina pouted, "Okay then hmph," she said then ended the call.

"Can you not pout?" Alexander suddenly said, "I might lose control," he added then stepped out of the car.

Sabrina raised her brow on him. She didn't understand what he meant.

Weird man as always.

"Go back to your room first, I'll call you when breakfast is ready," Alexander said as he unloaded the grocery bags.

"Okay then!" Sabrina responded excitedly. She already got a taste of Alexander's cooking, so she was looking forward to eating some again.

As soon as Sabrina entered her room, she threw herself on the bed and faced the ceiling. She was thinking about what happened at the gate earlier.

Why was Jacob suddenly bothering her? After 5 years of not seeing each other, he blamed her for seducing him and now he's claiming that he's her boyfriend. He's already married for Pete's sake!

What the hell is going on inside that man's brain?

"Sabrina? You there?" Kenzie knocked on the door.

"Yeah come in."

Kenzie walked inside Sabrina's room and sat beside her, "I heard from Grey that Jacob came looking for you, what happened?" she asked.

Sabrina let out a groan, "Don't even bother asking, that guy is completely nuts," she answered.

"Why what did he do?"

"He called me his girlfriend," she said, "… in front of Alexander," she added.

Kenzie suddenly burst out laughing, "Wow that ex of yours sure is something," she said, "But seriously, is his brain damaged or something? Does he not know Mr. Grande?"

"I don't understand him either," Sabrina grabbed a pillow and hugged it to her chest.

"What do you plan to do with him now? I feel like he'll continue to bother you for sure."

"I don't know for now, but let's see first. If he bothers me again, then we'll deal with him," answered Sabrina.

"Well I don't think we should bother, Mr. Grande will for sure deal with him," said Kenzie.

Sabrina and Kenzie continued to chat with each other upstairs, while the two men of the house are also having theirs downstairs in the kitchen.

"Sir, I heard Mr. Lockwood is preparing for a partnership with the Crooks, what do we plan to do?" Grey asked.

"Call Daniel here," Alexander instructed.

The Crook family, a well-known business family across the West. Perfumes, apparel, real estate, name it. The Crook family can be considered as the experts in the field of business because of the wide variety of businesses they venture in.

Alexander was really born a business genius. It runs in the family after all.

"Sir Mr. Daniel said he'd be here later," Grey said after he made a call to Daniel. Alexander nodded in response.

"Go call the two ladies upstairs. Food is ready," said Alexander.

After the heart and tummy-filling breakfast Alexander made, everyone in the house decided to have a movie marathon since they didn't have anything to do.

Grey and Kenzie prepared the projector and laptop for the movie, while Sabrina and went to make popcorn for everybody.

"Whoa whoa, what is this?" a voice suddenly spoke.

Grey and Kenzie who were busy placing pillows and blankets in the living room, turned their heads in unison to look at the person.

"Mr. Daniel!" greeted Grey as soon as Daniel stepped inside the house.

"Ey! What's up Grey?" he greeted, then his eyes fell in the woman beside Grey, "Who's this pretty lady right here?" asked Daniel while he walked towards Kenzie. He handed out his hand and said, "Daniel Crook," he said.

Kenzie looked at Grey before she shook his hand shyly, "Kenzie Camden," she said.

"Kenzie, hmmm nice name you have," Daniel said.

Suddenly, Grey stood in between them and separated their hands, "Okay, you know each other now. Why don't we go to Mr. Grande now Mr. Daniel? I believe the two of you have a lot to talk about," he said while glaring meaningfully at Daniel.

Daniel chuckled at Grey, "Okay let's go," he said.

On their way to the kitchen, Daniel glared at Grey meaningfully, "How dare you leave me single," he said while his eyes shrunk.

Grey just shrugged in response.

Arriving at the kitchen entrance, both Daniel and Grey heard laughing noises from a woman and a man. Daniel stopped Grey from his steps and pulled him to hide behind the wall. Both men peeped their heads to look at the people inside.

Sabrina and Alexander were throwing popcorns at each other right now. They we're both laughing at each other.

"Why do we need to hide Sir Daniel?" asked Grey who was confused by Daniel's actions.

"Shhhhh," Daniel hushed, "Did you know? I never saw Alexander laugh like this before. You know his story Grey, he barely smiled genuinely and you know that," he said and continued to watch his cousin enjoy himself.

Daniel grew up with Alexander and he, more than anyone, knows all the hardships Alexander went through with the Crook family. From his mom, to his dad, to moving out and building his empire, Daniel knew it all. He really wished that for once, Alexander can experience the youth he was missing out.

"Hey stop! Look at this, there is so much popcorn on the floor!" Sabrina scolded Alexander who was enjoying throwing popcorns at Sabrina.

"You started it," he answered while laughing at Sabrina's annoyed face.

"Alexander!" she shouted while blocking the popcorns Alexander was throwing.

"Yes baby?" he answered. He stopped throwing popcorns and stared at Sabrina lovingly. He walked towards her and wrapped his arms around Sabrina's waist.

"You know, you really look cute when you're annoyed. Makes me want to take a picture and make it my wallpaper," he teased.

Sabrina's face instantly turned red. Alexander was messing with her again!

"Let go of me you weirdo!" she protested but Alexander shook his head in a childish way.

"I don't like," he responded, mimicking a child's voice.

Grey, Daniel and Sabrina were all rendered speechless.

"Grey is that really my cousin right there? That's should be a doppelganger," Daniel said while he shook his head in disbelief.

Slowly, Alexander moved his face closer to Sabrina. She closed her eyes and waited for his lips to touch hers.

Suddenly, Daniel and Grey came tumbling down on the floor. Both Sabrina and Alexander pulled away from each other in shock.

Daniel and Grey stood up in a hurry.

"Ha ha! Go continue what you guys were doing, we'll leave," Daniel said and turned around to leave. Grey did the same and left the kitchen in a hurry.

"Wait for me. I'll deal with those two," Alexander said while his gaze darkened. He walked out of the kitchen and followed where Daniel and Grey left off.

Sabrina covered her face in embarrassment.

This was the second time already!
