Chapter 48 : Love is truly beautiful

That night, Mary and Coco prepared the dining table in expectation of Donald and his father’s arrival. Father had announced that they were going to be paying us a visit.

After setting the dining table, we heard the doorbell ring. “I’ll get it,” Mary uttered, rushing to the door. I stole glances at Coco, and I could see she was nervous. Her hands were trembling, and her face was turning very red.

I smiled widely and moved closer to her, holding her hand. “Relax,” I whispered in her ear, and she nodded, still breathing hard.

“I don’t know why I’m so nervous, Miss Della. It isn’t the first time I’m seeing him,” she whispered her response, and I chuckled softly.

“It’s what you feel for him, Coco. That’s how it works. Haven’t you been in love before?”

She shook her head and lowered it shyly. “It’s my very first time, Miss Della,” she responded, and I raised my brows in surprise. She looked too pretty not to have dated anyone until Donald.
