Chapter Three

“I forgot, I still have to go to work.” He pulled away and look at me.

“You work? Where?” He asked curiously. He knows I hate to work.

“Our company. Grandma made me a successor. I don’t have a choice. It’s her will.” He put his right hand in my chin.

“Well, I should congratulate you then. You, working? It's hard to believe.” Then he laughed.

“Don’t laugh at me. Come on, let’s go inside already. As you can see, your girlfriend is busy.” I then wink at him, then walk inside the house. He then went behind me and hug me on my waist.

“I want to hear it again.” I felt like I was going to faint when he whisper it near my ear.

“Hear what?” I look at his gaze but our lips met, suddenly I was shock he was too. Any moment I feel like collapsing. Even if we kissed so many times before, but every time our lips met, it was like it’s always our first.

He move his lips, and he turned my body to face him. As we kissed, I hear someone from behind me drop something. So we eventually stop and look who was it. It was Tiffany. She was shock and I know she was thinking about something now.

“Tiff, we're back together.” I said as I get Kent hands and interwind it then show it to Tiffany.

“Jen, can we talk for a sec?” I nodded and Kent went inside the house first.

“Yesterday, you hate him. And now, you were back together? I don’t get you.” I smiled and explain to her everything Kent told me. She look surprised, obviously but she get it. She didn’t question me anymore. And when we went inside, we saw Kent sitting at the sofa.

I prepared my things and Kent was the one who drove us in the company.

“Thanks babe.” I said and kissed his cheek.

“Anytime, babe. I’ll fetch you up later, okay? Just call me when you’re done.” I just nodded and smiled at him. I wave my hands before he head off. Tiffany and I went inside and when we reach my office, I saw a post note in the crystal door. I get it and I was so scared when I finally read it all.

“Don’t be happy already, you know happy endings don’t exist. -M.” When I suddenly step back and almost fall, Tiffany help me and get the note in my hand.

“Obviously Jen, it’s Miranda. Just don’t mind her for now. Okay?” She then patted my back to calm me down. I was really nervous. I have a feeling that they will gonna do the same thing they did a year ago. But I have to be more conscious from now on.

“I know. Just let her be.” We enter my office, and I immediately sit on my chair. I still cant get over with that post note. Why are they like that to me? I never even interfere them.

“Are you really okay? I’ll get you juice, you want?” Tiffany asked and I said yes to her. She went out, and I’m alone here.

I suddenly felt my phone buzzed. I look at it and an unregistered number showed up. I read it, and it says: “Hey babe, did you receive the flowers I bought you? Hope it will calm yourself up. I love you.” Flowers? I didn’t receive any of it. To calm me up? What is he talking about.

But I was surprise to see Tiffany coming inside with a glass of juice and a bouquet of white roses. He really did send me some. And it’s the favorite of mine.

“Delivery for Miss Jennifer.” After what she said, she winked at me and put the flowers and the glass of juice in my table.

“You told him didn’t you?” I asked her.

“Sorry, but I cant help it. I called at your house and he was still there. He has to know, and I know he’s the one who can make you feel better.” I just smiled at her.

“Thank you Tiff, you really know me.” I stand up and go to her. I hugged her and she did the same.

“What are friends are for, right? Go back to work now. We still have bunch of things to do.” As what she said, I quickly get back to my chair. I read some of the files given to me, I signed some papers for approval.

It was a long day, and I was able to went in the main shop of The Dell Company. It was named as Dell Scents. We sell perfume, as what the name says so. The product was a bit costly and not all the people can have it, mainly its only for those who have money. But we also have some products that everyone can afford. And I was the one who said it, when we had a board meeting.

I just want everyone to experience how it feels when using a perfume that is rarely seen, and by selling it in an expensive price, it wont be a best selling perfume.

“Let’s go?” Tiffany asked me, and it made me realize that I must tell Kent when I’m done at work.

“You can go first Tiff. I have to call Kent first. He said, he will fetch me. Or you can just go with me.”

“No, you should have time alone with each other. Let’s just go outside together.” I nodded at her “Okay, let me finish this first.” I was referring to my stuffs. When I was done, I search for Kent’s number, the number who called me earlier. I didn’t even registered it yet. I’ll just do it later.

“Babe, we're done. You can fetch us up.” I said to him. “Okay babe. I’ll be there in just a minute.”

After our phone call, Tiffany and I went outside. We waited for Kent, and as what he said, any minute he arrived. We bid our goodbyes to Tiffany, as she went off to take a cab.

“You want to have dinner?” He asked.

“Let’s just eat in my house, I’ll cook.” He agreed to what I said, and we head home.

“Are you okay, babe? You look pale.” He asked again. I know, I feel like collapsing any time by now. I feel so strange, just this moment. “I’m fine, don’t worry too much.”

He sat at the sofa, I said to him that I will get my clothes change. And he will do the same after. When I was done, I go to the kitchen area and see if there is something to cook. Luckily, I can make beef steak. And it's his favorite.

I was slicing up the ingredients when suddenly, I felt weird again. It was like my head is turning. I pause for a moment. And everything came back to normal. After slicing I prepared the beef and the pot ready.

I felt some hands hugging my waist, and some face on my shoulder. I know from that moment, Kent is hugging me from behind. Like he really used on doing.

“Babe.” He huskily said, and that made me shiver. He stroke my neck using his lips, and kiss some part of it. “I love you.” He whispered when he reach my ear, and slightly bit the tip of it. “I love you too.” I replied.

He turned me around, and kissed me fully in the lips. But I pulled away when I smell some unusual things. And it was coming from the pot. It burned up. So I immediately off the switch in the electric cooker.
