Lionel knocked before entering to see Lucian already there.

"to check on the young mistress" he said

" you can go to the servant's quarter now" he said

"servant's quarter?" Emilia asked

"sorry for the disturbance but , Lucian is like a brother to me I can't possibly let him stay in the servant's quarter" she said

"if you insist I'll arrange a room next to mine for him" he assured her.

"that will be better, thank you" she bowed.

"you seem to really like your bodyguard" he said with a hint of displeasure

"oh that, he always advises me like how an older brother would" she said with a smile.

"why do I feel he doesn't see you like how an older brother would?" he suddenly said.

"excuse me?" that mere statement somehow quirk her interest up

" don't get me wrong, I trust you but the way he looks at you... I just don't get it"he said rubbing the back of his neck.

she would have been moved by his behaviour if she hadn't met Lucian.

"oh" she sighs which made Lionel frown

" what made you to come my room "she asked after snapping out of her imagination

" to call you for dinner "he said and held out his hand.

'I can walk by myself 'she wanted to say but she went ahead and held his hand

they walked out of her room , down the stairs and towards the dinner table. Emilia was famished so she ate to her heart's content, Lionel left in the middle of the meal he had to attend to something important.

After she was full could she think "Lucian would have loved this" she said to realise that he was still up stairs.

she put some of the untouched food on a tray.

"Lucian doesn't like pineapples" she said to herself before picking out the pineapples.

when she was done she went up stairs, Lionel room was next to her so Lucian room should be on the left.

She was not used to knocking so she just entered, she saw him staring at the stars in the sky though the widow.

his hair was ruffled by the wind , the two buttons on his shirt were undone, gosh..... she felt could feel colour appear on her face.

"hmm" she cleared her throat to have his gray eyes stare at her.

"aren't you met to be with Lionel?" he suddenly asked.

"he went out, I brought you dinner" she said to have him smile.

" I hope it wasn't stressful "he asked and carried the tray from her hand, in the process his finger brushed hers and a blush crept up her face

" are you alright?do you have a cold?" he asked her as face was turning red .

"no, I'm good" she assured him

"I thought Lionel would go back on his promise and touch you without permission. I felt useless for not being able to help you" he said and sat down on the sofa in the room and she followed suite

"don't worry, he's not like that" she said not expecting him to frown

"Mrs Walker, you do trust your husband" he said and she answered

"yes I do,he seems like a competent man" she answered truthfully to see his frown grow more deeper.

"oh, so now you're in love?" he said

nonchalantly

"no, but with his kind behavior I might"

she said and now Lucian turned to face her.

"what ?" she asked

"nothing, the food is cold"

"cold?,I picked all the pineapples just for you , all my hard work had gone to waste " she and bit on her lips

"don't worry I'll get you something else" she said about to pick it but he held her hand.

"I'll eat it" he said with a sullen expression which made Emilia to giggle

"what?" he asked

"you're acting like a child who didn't get what he wanted" she said and giggled then he turned to face her before smiling but didn't say thing but ate quietly.

"have you eaten?" he asked

"hmm" she nodded.

"Mrs walker don't you think it's inappropriate to be in my room at this hour in your husband's home"he said suddenly and Emilia finally saw her crime.

" shit! , bye "she said about leaving but he caught her arm and dragged her back to the sofa .

" ah, what?"she questioned.

"you didn't say good night" he said and she widened her eyes

"are you fucking serious?" she yelled

"yes, I'm damn serious" he said innocently.

she took a deep breathe "good night" she said about to go but he caught her arm and dragged her back again.

"oh c'mon " she yelled.

"you didn't say sweet dreams" he remained calm as though he was not torturing her

"let me guess next you will tell me to give you a good night kiss" she said with a hint of displeasure.

"that would be inappropriate Mrs walker

"in your dreams" she said and rolled her eyes.

"wouldn't wanna brag but I'm very kissable " he said and smirked.

"good night, sweet dreams" she said and blewed him a kiss. she wanted to leave but he pulled her and kissed her on the cheeks.

" A good night kiss from your older brother "he said and let go of her

Emilia blushed and ran out of his room which made Lucian smirk

Lucian finished the food and prepared to bath when Lionel came in.

" mysterious, unpredictable that's the role you wanna play"Lionel asked.

"why will you say that?" he said nonchalantly crossing his leg and leaning back on the sofa.

"I have no idea who you are, just stay away form MY WIFE" he said stressing out the last two words

"you're wife?" he suddenly asked

"I'm sure you attended the wedding"

"yeah I did "

"you saw us saying our vows , putting on the rings "

"I did"

"you us sealing it with a kiss"

Lucian who had his eyes closed suddenly opened it and smirked

"I don't know why you're asking me all this, I'm like her older brother she never had"

"I'm glad to hear that" he said and smiled before leaving after leaving the smirk on Lucian turned into a frown. *************
