Damon’s Childhood Part 1: Awakening.

When the superpower users first emerged, the scientist tried so hard to understand the mechanism of those powers in order to control them and even inherit them to normal people, but those trials ended up in failure.

They only concluded that those powers don't emerge at a fixed time, but it differs from an individual to another, through statics after observing many power users overall the world, they found out that those powers emerge at a fixed age range; from an early age of 12 till 15 they named that range as " The Awakening Period"

Damon held Justine's hands tightly as he was dragging her behind him.

As soon they boarded the plane, Justine pulled her hands from Damon's grip then she sits on the plane seat angrily crossing her legs and looking away with a pouting expression on her face to express her displeasure with what just happened.

As soon as Damon sits beside her she turns her head facing him and says sternly,

"Aren't we supposed to be a family?!"

Damon thought that this question came out of nowhere, but Justine was asking him seriously so he just nodded back at her without saying anything.

"Then tell me how did your relationship with your mother turn out that way?" Justine asks him in a tone full of curiosity.

On hearing that Damon lets out a big sigh then he says,

"I guess it's inevitable, you would have found out about it sooner or later anyway-"

"Alright since you are my family, I will tell you about my childhood from the beginning" he continues.

Damon started narrating about his childhood to Justine during their flight back to the school unlike their flight from the school to the USA which was full of silence.

It all started one summer when we, my father, mother, and my little sister, went to the countryside to spend the vacation with my grandparents from my father's side.

I was 13 years old back then, one day my parents decided to go fishing at the lake by the house, they took my little sister along with them and left me behind at the house with my grandparents.

While I was waiting for them to get back I felt sleepy so I lied down for a bit on the ground.

While I was napping, I smelled something smoking so I opened my eyes to look around then I saw that the whole house was on fire, my whole body was engulfed in flames as well but I couldn't feel in pain.

I was so terrified, I tried to put off the flames many times, but it wouldn't work, I kept panicking till I fainted out.
