Love Unfolding

Be brave enough to take off the mask you’ve been wearing and be who you are underneath. I think in life, happiness comes from deciding to follow your heart over your fears. So, let’s follow Kaileen Andy Lewis together with Erika Leigh Parlam in their journey through depths of finding, accepting and loving themselves despite the views and opinions of others simply because they view the world from a lens of impossible. That it’s tiring to spend most of their nights where their mind is at war with their heart; fighting between what they knew and what they felt. ***************************************************** Author’s Note: Join the group https://discord.gg/RMJAEMC Hey ladies, gentlemen and non-binary pals, enjoy reading…

Theme Song

Chapter 31

viLelouch's POV

They threaded down the road to where their car parked along with a guide and some other strangers.

To Erika's surprise, no one of the guys Andy beats up nor anyone from their group was around. She wondered but then didn't bother to ask.

As they were on their way to Green City, Andy asked with an upset tone.

"So you have someone you like?"

Erika was taken aback on the question. She smiled teasingly.

'So you are still at it huh'

"Yes, I have someone," she answered immediately.

She could see the meeting of Andy's brows while still focussing on the road ahead.

"You didn't tell me."

"Well, you did not ask."

Andy turned to her with narrowed eyes.

Erika laughed.

"Then tell me now."

Erika shrugged, "Nah, maybe it will just pass after a week. You know, infatuation."

'A week my ass'

'I'm still into you this whole time'

[**********]

Both Erika and Andy's remaining days in Green City has been flowing smoothly.

They did not inform Grandpa John about what happened at Ali Falls.

Also, waking up in each others arms seemed to be a common occurrence. They don't feel awkward anymore.

Furthermore, they'd been a little touchy like it's a natural thing to do too.

'ahem'

As the night deepens, the relaxing sound of crickets chirping brought smile to Erika as she leisurely laid down on the couch.

They were in the living room.

"So you're leaving tomorrow?" John asked.

Andy hugged her grandpa, "I'll visit you often. Don't miss me too much."

"I miss you already."

"Ugh—" Andy squeezed her grandpa.

"How about letting me hear you sing for once?"

"Nah," she shrugged. "Fine, what about a duet?"

John seemed to think it over first, "Fine," he went to the piano and sat down.

He tapped the chair, motioning Andy to come and sit with him.

"So what song sweetheart?"

"Hmmm, how about you and grandma's theme song?"

John smiled then started to press some notes.

Erika was just lovingly watching them on the couch.

John started to sing the first stanza of "My girl, my woman, my friend" by Jose Mari Chan.

A small smile curved at his lips as he sung and he has a really deep voice, beautiful and soothing.

Andy smiled as she gave a wink at her grandpa when it's her turn.

'god'

Two voices blended together in that one song.

Erika was smiling the whole time. She was mesmerized how they both sung it well.

She was moved.

She felt like the lyrics pierce through as the voices echoed the feeling of someone deeply in love.

Not to mention how John's eyes sparkle at every chord and at every glances he threw at his granddaughter and smiled like how much he missed her wife all along.

If anyone wanted to check the song it’s YOU’re MY GIRL, MY WOMAN, MY FRIEND by Jose Mari Chan.
