1 LUCIA STILL IN HER HOME TOWN

Lucia is 14 year old ,a native of Indian precisely Lachen village in Sikkim.Lucia native name is Noziya ,her mom calls her Lucia and dad Noziya.Her mom is actually from UK and dad indian.

so her mom named her Lucia and dad noziya ,Lucia was busy eardropping on her parents conversation ,until her grandmother touch her back she turned back with speed to know who that was ,when she saw it was her grandmother she sigh with relief" oh Dadi " Dadi is Grandma in her native language.

Her grandmother asked Noziya what are you doing at your parents door?She stammered for a while well dadi ,I was about to just knock on the door before you touched me.

Her grandmother looked at Noziya eyeballs ,my dear Noziya do you know that since you where little I had known you ,only looking at your eyeballs I can tell if you telling a lie.

Dadi am not telling a lie,I was about to knock on the door,shh placing her finger on Noziya lips,you still lying to your grandma?No Dadi ,she said while shaking her heads ,Dadi am really sorry for lying to you I promise I won't do that again as she held her both ears .

my lovely Noziya come with me to my room ,Noziya gently followed her grandma.when her grandmother entered the room she sat on her bed and Noziya stood up looking at her grandma as she said ,oh Dadi are you still going to punish me?No my dear have a sit ,she sat down trying to understand what her dear Dadi was about to do next.

Her grandmother smiled I know you trying to understand what am about to do next,Noziya I know why you have been eardropping on your parents conversation lately ,Noziya asked really?yes ,you have been trying to understand what your dad and mom are hiding from you ,my dear they're not hiding anything serious from you with time you will know what is that my darling Noziya stop eardropping on their conversation ,I would have told you but I think is best they tell you as your parents .

Dadi please tell me ,no I can't my dear ,your mom would let you know when they are ready don't think of it too much ,it not bad or should I say serious .

ok my Dadi I won't eardrops again it a pinky promise I will wait till they let me know ,ok my love .

In the evening Lucia mom Beatrice prepared supper for the family ,she severed for everyone in the dinning table and announced to everyone that supper is ready, everyone sat down round the table in their rightful position but one person was still delaying them to start their prayer before eating and it was Noziya dad kiaan he was still upstairs but as soon as Noziya was about to go call her dad he was already coming down.

kiaan smilled my beautiful family sorry for delaying I was having a business call from uk,Noziya starred at her dad as she repeated uk ,kiaan starred at her back yes uk,dad that is United kingdom if am not mistaken,yes my daug..as kiaan father cut in can we say our prayer now am really hungry after praying you and your daughter can continue your conversation,ok dad, kiaan replied .

After the prayer as they where eating Noziya started a conversation dad so what about the uk ,her grandfather looked at her and said Noziya talking why eating is really a bad habit are you aware of that?yes dada means grandfather in her native language am really sorry.

Everywhere was quite as they ate their supper ,after they finished eating Noziya who is really curious to know more about the uk call started again dad so what about the uk?kiaan was silent then his mother said my son tell your daughter she is really eager to know ,ok mom,my daughter your father got a job in uk ,Noziya smiles wow congrats dad ,so soon you will be leaving mom and everyone here?No my daughter ,you and your mom would be staying with me in the uk I got both of you visa ready and it in the next four days we would be going, really dad,?no one told me about this even you mom.

Beatrice her mom interrupted lucia aren't you happy you will be leaving to uk ?

I am but I Avent told my friends good bye that I would be travelling so soon .

lucia it not still late to do that ,mom are you the one really saying this assuming dad didn't mention about his uk call I won't be aware am leaving probably until that day.

Her grandma interrupted her come on Noziya don't talk to your mom like that,am sorry Dadi just am not happy that I won't get to see my friends again,her Grandpa said Noziya you will get to make new friends there,but dada I have know this my friends since I was a child and I had that the children leaving in the uk normally behave differently ,everyone laugh out loud , seriously who told you that her mom said?Lucia kept quiet then her mom continued my lovely baby don't you know am from the uk ,I grew there so who ever feeding you with that lie should stop ,all I can say is that in the uk they speak English and kids there are usually more exposed than kids here that all.

Lucia smilled ok mom buh I have to go tell all my friends am leaving soon I will really miss my dada and Dadi,and she left to her room.

The next day after their morning prayer as usual and house chores she went to tell her friends she is leaving to the uk ,she went to see novela ,as she told novela she is leaving she started crying novela is her best friend ,novela said Noziya so I won't be seeing you again ?tears dropping from Noziya eyes as she tried consoling novela ,no no no I would be coming over during the holidays it a promise my friend,ok novela hug her ,I will come see you off when u going to uk ,ok as she left.

she went to all her friends house but the one who really love her is novela .

novela is of the same age as Noziya since they where little they have been childhood friends,everyone in the community knew how close they are.

The final day to travel arrived Noziya was feeling down her dad kiaan held her my Noziya why are your hands so cold?she looked at her dad ,dad am going to a different country where I don't know anyone,I will meet new faces and become bored there without no friends ,dad how would I start my life afresh again,it would be so boring am afraid .

Noziya you need to be courageous ,there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of it just a different country not a different human being ,they are not aliens ,so don't be afraid ,Noziya nodded her head to her dad and said ok dad.

it was time to leave for the airport ,Noziya dada and Dadi adviced her to stay good and safe ,aviod bad association and read hard ,then they gave her their blessings .

kiaan said dad and mom we would always keep to reach with you both of you also stay safe .

Beatrice said dad and mom please ensure to take your drugs at the proper time and Noziya said soberly and remember we love you.

dada and Dadi said together we love you all too.

They left outside to take a car to the airport when Noziya saw novela outside ,novela ran towards Noziya crying I will miss you , promise you won't forget me, Noziya finally broke down in tears ,I promise I will never forget you ,how can I forget a sister you more than a friend to me,Noziya gave novela a warm hug ,I will miss u my sister .

kiaan and Beatrice watched the two kids as the felt like also joining them to cry.

Noziya look at her mom and dad as she told novela I have to get going now and please take care ,novela nodded her heads take care too ,and she wave to her bye bye as she watch them leaving .

They finally got a car which took them to the airport ,it was Noziya first time going to an airport she was amused but could not express it because she was still feeling sad about leaving Indian.

They entered the plan off to uk ,as Noziya sat near to the window as she looked outside ,as the plane was about to take off every one ensured to put on their sit belt ,when the plane finally took off everything was looking small from above Noziya was very amused she jxt kept on looking outside till she fell asleep.

when Noziya woke up it was when their plane landed at uk, everyone came down the plane .
