Chapter 67 She isn't My Younger Sister!

If Emily knew anything about Leah, it was that she wasn't the quiet type at all. She also doubted if Alfred was that dense to not have noticed that something was amiss.

But the more she thought about it, the more guilty she felt. She daren't even lift her gaze to look him in the eyes now.

"Well, she didn't cause me any trouble..." He said as his gaze landed on her face. He didn't falter when he said that but she could hear a twinge of nervousness laced in his words. "... but if you hadn't told me that she was your friend, I would've thought that was your younger sister..." He trailed off with a nervous chuckle. 

The way he said it made her feel like she'd been caught with her pants down in her lie. Her ears burned in shame and her face paled. She was at a loss for words. "No, she isn't my younger sister," she replied embarrassedly while shaking her head.
