Chapter 56 If You Want a Second Chance, Then You Should Listen to Me!

Emily put away her phone and turned to look at the woman driving up front. "What kind of director am I meeting with, Ms. Palmer?" she asked.

She'd initially planned to sleep off her bad mood after leaving the hospital at her apartment, but her plans were soon interrupted by a call from Abby. 

She told her that she wanted her to meet some bigshot director, but never mentioned his or her name at all. 

"Don't worry, they're a bigshot alright. I'm sure you both can talk it out smoothly so long as you don't give them any lip," Abby replied nonchalantly.

On the contrary, Emily had felt somewhat uneasy upon hearing this. "I thought you didn't get anything from the banquet last night? So how come someone like that wants to meet me so soon?" she muttered in confusion.
