Chapter 54 I'm Not Interested in the Dead!

The soothing piano music playing in the background set a nice mood for their reunion in the nicely decorated coffee shop.

Eliza took a sip of coffee gracefully and eyed him with much affection in her gaze. "Why didn't you meet up with me last time? You know you're the person I want to see, right? Not Bronson," she pouted.

"Bronson didn't tell you why?" Ronald asked.

"I wanted to hear it directly from you!" she exclaimed.

"I'm not interested in the dead," he explained flatly with a frown.

Eliza was stunned speechless 

as her expression stiffened. She didn't expect to be more blunt than Bronson. Her smile gradually faded and she looked down. "I can't believe you're still blaming me for the incident," she mumbled.

He smiled back. "I should be happy that you're back from the dead, no?" he said.

He DID feel somewhat happy.
