Aunty Mollie fidgeted and looked like she had more to say, but Ronald had already spun around and walked up to the bedroom.

After he finished his shower, the man saw the empty bed and couldn't help but frown again. The deeper he frowned, the darker the shade of his eyes became, which had an inexplicable coldness to them.

At this moment, his phone on the nightstand started vibrating. His fingers curled up as if in response to being startled, but he stayed put.

It wasn't until a short while later that he walked over to the bedside to pick up his phone. His eyes gradually darkened upon catching a glimpse of the caller ID.

"What,"  he grunted.

"Heh, how come you took so long to answer? Did I perhaps interrupt your 'man time'?" another man's teasing voice sounded from the other end. The way he said it made it seem like he was an indecent ruffian.
